Idk that bucs game there when it mattered was pretty damn big. Then the dumbasses round here changed it to no 4th quarter game winning drives as the metric to kick Sam to the curb following the game. Welp those folks got karma as a bitch named Bryce and now say the silly stat isn't so important. I find it amusing the most contrived metric in 2022 to blast Sam after the bucs game with brady throwing to prime Mike Evans is now suddenly useless when Bryce is a god at that stat. It is dumb now and was dumb then. Glad Sam has a legit team to actually hold a damn lead. Rhule and Fitt screwed up in 2022 and set us miles back, not Sam nor Baker. Now Fitt is one of the worst to ever do it, and screwed us so bad. To start 2022 we kept Rhule, then scape goat via Joe Brady, to pennies for CMC, to not accepting the Burns over pay, to overpay for Bryce. He wrecked us in 12 damn months, much less only 1 top notch players in 3 drafts in the top 10. Incompetent.

Reese is the guy I really want but no way is he gonna be there. Downs and Reese would be highest ceiling best fits for us but long gone Styles I'm ok with there is a lot of interesting players outside the top 10 and he would be a fine one for our needs. Anthony Hill and Styles are close and consolation is CJ Allen. Honestly it's a fairly good LB pool this year and as big of a need as it's been, double dip. Especially if we commit to the odd front for the foreseeable future.

He's still got a bunch of tread left and the highest floor for a coach. Too bad it's unlikely here but please don't let him go to atl or tampa.

And Sam Howell got run out of town with less to work with and better production. Sam was Mr INT like famous Jameis. Both could ball if given this team. Hell Howell had no line and almost eclipsed 4k yards. Both guys stress your own defense too with turnovers, but Bryce is doing that with the constant 3 and outs and not helping with field position. I really dont want the FO to give Young the 5th year. That would be absolutely wild as a #1 not getting it or an extension is crazy, but it's time to move on. Even as a backup there are better ones out there, maybe not all available, but look for something better that suits your offense.

One of the most useless garbage stat as it tells nothing of the rest of the game, or a players actual play on the "magical" drive, nor what happens after this game winning drive. Its a terrible metric that started here 2-3 years ago on here with people trying to rationalize someone's play down to a single drive and disregard everything else. It was weak then, and it's as weak as it was then. Let's do better.

Drafting Bryce Young was the biggest mistake. Isn't like Adam T is lighting it up with 4 while receptions on the year and 37 yards. That missing production is really killing us here........

So this group is young and moldable for the next guys to use. But in a time of P2 and a wantabe P3 after that, to look this bad in the sport that matters in realignment sucks as a grad. They were outscored 62-0 from the second half of the vandy game (where they were at home) through the 1st half at home against ODU. VT is the worst power 5 or group of 6 conferences with ease.
