Official my god how have we sunk so low Panthers at Falcons thread
onmyown replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
some people didn’t know what they signed up for becoming a Panther fan because of cam i wish this was the worst we’ve seen 98 01 10 were worse and it’s not even close and I’d even argue 16,19,20 and on par if not worse 11 was close but I’ll let it slide as we were trending up with Cam -

15 years ago I had over 3k taken out of an ATM $300 at a time. Called the bank from Charlotte two hours after it happened and literally as another $300 was being pulled out. Women tried to argue with me that I literally went to L.A. and came back but mentioned my phone call was coming from Charlotte. Even by plane that was literally impossible. I was in college at UNCC and had been in classes all morning until I saw it and took a break and called them. I had to prove where I was when the funds were stolen. Apparently my info was stolen from UNCC bookstore earlier (which I used an hour or so before all this happened) and sent to L.A. to be used. Was then told the person wasn’t smart enough to cover the ATM camera and they had a picture of him. After which the bank said they couldn’t prove it wasn’t me lol. After 3 months of fighting and filing paperwork, and demanding the bank uphold their own identity theft and protection policies, I was reimbursed. Walked in the the local branch and shut down all my accounts and took my 30k elsewhere. Branch manager was baffled by the incompetence and I somewhat felt bad but seriously…I can see why it’s such a huge deal with the dumbassery trying to stop it. Now days you generally have to call the bank if you want to use your debit card in another state. Back then though not so much as a phone call or flag - even though the same debit card was used across the nation, hours apart. Genius. My pin is now 12 digits and I look like an idiot every time I use it…’it’s a long story’ is my go-to before people say anything.

Yea you do have to spell it out for some. He’s talking about Watson, that isn’t going to happen. As I put in my post. The sentiment with a loss however is not overreacting.

Watson does not want to come here unless Miami fails. Also not sure a 5th loss in a row to arguably the worst teams in the NFL has an ‘overreaction’. Seems justified.
-
Deeeeerp. You don’t have to read between the lines when it comes to Miami, as you and others have had to desperately and idiotically do for Carolina. Idiots. The Carolina Panthers had no further interest in trading for Deshaun Watson due to lack of clarity with his legal situation and Watson's plans with his no-trade clause, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Watson is facing 22 lawsuits alleging sexual assault and inappropriate behavior and has not played a down for the Texans this season. He has a no-trade clause in his contract, which he's willing to waive for the Dolphins. The Panthers, who explored a potential Watson deal dating back to the offseason, got indications that Watson would be interested in playing for them but hadn't received that commitment in writing -- a customary step for a no-trade clause -- as of this week. "[The Panthers] felt he would have come to Carolina, but [that] he wanted Miami first," a source told ESPN. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32513207/deshaun-watson-legal-issues-no-trade-clause-uncertainty-caused-panthers-back-trade-pursuit-sources-say?platform=amp

why? Panthers starting a bowling league? plus how are we going to compete with other teams to get him?
-
Great, our team’s beat writer ‘was told’ there was no impediment. Excellent. Get it. Meanwhile Watson has only waived his no trade clause for Miami. Watson did not choose Miami confirmed!
-
If you read any article on the subject and there is a lot, they reference Ian, who covers the entire league and is more widely respected, and point outs the fact other teams were not waived other than Miami and while it doesn’t mean they won’t be in the future, Watson has waived for Miami right now. But this is way off base for any confirmation? Meanwhile a Panthers writer unknown to the rest of the NFL claims there is no ‘impediment’ and this basically means the clause pretty much was waived for Carolina since it’s not a problem and a thread Watson didn’t choose Miami is valid. Yea my brain doesn’t follow that. Pretty clear Watson wants Miami first and foremost.
-
That doesn’t answer the question. It’s not the same as Watson waiving the clause for Carolina, which hasn’t been reported. Why? It holds as much weight as Person saying there was no ‘impediment’.
-
Confirmed waived clause vs. ‘no impediment’. So as I understand it, many of you feel this means the same thing and can’t possible mean something along the lines of, at the very least, Miami first, Panthers possible if things fail? The question still stands. Why has the no clause waiver been reported for Miami but not Carolina?

Not an impediment doesn’t mean he did not choose Miami as the thread title indicates. https://fansided.com/2021/10/27/deshaun-watson-dolphins-no-trade-clause/amp/ Personally I think some people here, like the OP are in denial. A response like yea it’s reported he waived the clause to Miami but no reports are saying he wouldn’t for Carolina! Or it was reported it wasn’t an impediment! Is not justification for the thread title and seems a little desperate. If the no waive was reported for Miami why not Carolina? Make no sense. I see no reason why it was officially reported he waived it for Miami and not Carolina with out at least accepting that’s his first choice…pretty much debunking this thread title.

if we score more than 3, or just 3 in the third quarter and nothing else, I consider this a win and progress made
-
Just to break it down… It was reported he waived the clause for the Dolphins. It was never reported he waived it for the Panthers. Why?

Perhaps if he went to a competent team out of college that would address these issues early Sam would’ve had a chance. But he went to one of the worst teams, worse staff, and worse oline (this from a Panther fan, enough said). Which only cemented his doom. It’s not wonder some QBs stay in college to avoid poo teams (I don’t blame Luck, not that he did much better) or have a poo eating frown when they’re drafted by garbage teams. A lot of greats have come out and said the team that drafts young talent can make or break them and unfortunately Sam is a causality of just that. Need to move on.

Cedar city doesn’t get much though at least like SLC or Park city. Brian’s head is up in the mountains not down below. Big difference, I live on the mountain and get probably 20 feet a year if it’s a light year. Cedar gets like 3-4 ft and don’t consider a few feet that melt in a few days as anything. You’ll get a white Christmas now and then but not every single year like me. And just to point out Utah doesn’t get much snow as a whole until after christmas…End of Jan and Feb are freezing hell on earth for me. Also, just to point out it’s in Iron County. Iron county is very very weird. One of the highest sexual predator counties in the nation (for men and women) strong FLDS following. It’s very weird child predator county. No offense to anyone normal who lives there. There’s a new cases/scandal on a monthly basis in such a small town.
-
I’m confused, if Miami was the only team he waived the no trade for, isn’t that essentially saying no to the Panthers? Whether the Panthers backed out or not, wouldn’t the No trade be waved for them is they were an an acceptable option for Watson?
-
It can still be done. Titans entire oline and offense are built strictly for running. Cardinals also, pretty much all they do. Both doing very well and dominating. Panthers were doing well to with their HB. Difference is actually being competent at doing so and being able to balance it out (playcalling) and not be a one trick pony (also play calling wise) and of course they have top run blocking olines, otherwise well…that’s the Panthers.
-
It’s not the area. Southern Utah culture…it’s where the fundamentalist LDS are. Provo is full of ‘modern LDS. But from Draper up to Ogden and definitely on the other side of the Wasatch like Park City there is a lot of diversity. I just say that because generally the further away from SLC the less likely you’ll make any friends if you’re not in ‘the church’. All depends tho, if you keep to yourself, and don’t care about a social life, yea anywhere is good. Still no snow down there though. Beautiful landscape for sure.
