  1. Honestly hope Panthers decide to just cancel the interview with Payton alltogethor and this drives down the price the Broncos are willing to trade for him. That would be a win, win for us. We dont trade premium picks away for a 60 yr old coach and Saints get less or no draft capital if a deal cant get done.

Let me know if you have requests this week. I have already reviewed the game twice, and when I get A22 on Wednesday I will go back and validate some assumptions then do the write up.

Here is one fun note that I will break down later this week.... but the way the Saints played CMC, is the reason he wasnt involved in the passing game. It was pretty wild to see how they limited CMC in the passing game. They had their DEs playing some sort of "contain" type defense on swing routes for CMC, this would take away the passing lane.  They also had layered defense on CMC when he ran routes. Very interesting.

Also, Lavisk... oh man.... I am excited.

Let me know what requests you got or players/play you want me to review.

I barely could finish watching yesterday. Don't know how you can watch a second time but I give you props.

We know Baker has the arm strength and the balls to go for big plays down field. It's just a question of what his TD/INT ratio is going to be as to whether or not he's going to stick with the team. If he throws too many picks then it won't matter that he makes big plays here and there.

Ultimately I think Rhule is wanting to play small ball, run it a lot, and take a few shots down field here and there rather than air it out. The problem is that those days are over. We have to air it out, and that's what worries me about Baker.

I still think we're taking a QB in the 1st in 2023 and Baker and Sam won't be here next season.

Rhule seems to be very risk averse and overly careful. Much to his own demise.

I guess this is kinda old news, but I just tuned into WFNZ to realize he’s gone. Heading back to Ohio. I bashed him for groveling over Mayfield, but he wasn’t the worst sports personality that Charlotte has ever had (Stan Norfleet). Although, it would be nice to actually have some native North Carolinians doing sport talk for Charlotte for once.

    Is this Teppers fault?

So how prepared are you as a Panthers fan for another miserable 5 win season?

I’d say I’m a pretty jaded fan these days, maybe more than the casual fan. I haven’t been positive about this team since Matt Rhule was hired, I’ll admit that.

I’m 100% expecting another terrible season and totally prepared. I have no intentions of going to a game and I already have plans on a few Sundays this fall, something I would never do in the past. I’d prioritize watching the Panthers.

To me, unless Matt Corral surprises everyone and turns out to be a viable starting QB, the offense is going no where. The defense is still going to have issues stopping the run. It just seems like a year where the wheels completely come off and the season ends much like 2019 did with a team that doesn’t even field a team that wants to be there by the end of the season.

But that’s just me. I think this time next year we’re all talking about a highly drafted rookie QB and a new coaching staff and I’ll be a lot less negative (hopefully)

Didn't you hear? This is a 7 year plan. Keep your head up!

  6. Evan Neal Injury History

NFL Scouts will be relieved to find that there is no considerable injury history when it comes to Evan Neal’s time at Alabama. Neal did have to leave the 2019 matchup with Arkansas early due to an injury, but did not miss any additional games. Additionally, Evan Neal suffered an injury during the Spring of 2021, but was ready for the season opener.

This thread is very close to getting locked for good at this point. It's virtually devoid of productive conversation and has devolved into pure political sniping. Knock it the fug off.

I'll stop. Everyone just take care. This thing is not even close to being over and we are starting to open back up.

Things were a bit divided before Trump.  I would say Clinton years are were it started getting past the point of civility

I never saw Clinton egging on gun toting racist storming a government building.

Actually, Trump did not call the virus a hoax.  Late nighters and Twitter will lead you to believe that.  Washpo and others agree

I bet you dont think he ask Dr Birch about testing disinfectants and light to cure covid either do you?

Meh, Fauci has been there forever and would have been crafting the same policy if the pandemic had happened to Clinton, Bush, Obama and now Trump.  The cheerleading would have been different, but the policy pretty much the same.  For all of Trumps blabbering, they pretty much stuck w what Fauci and Birks told them to do.  Probably as much as the other guys would have done

The reason I dont believe this is the case is that Trump was calling it a hoax and didn't take it seriously. I haven't seen anything from Fauci that seems he has never taking it seriously and never called it a hoax. Trump should have listened to his advisors. But as usual he thinks he is smarter than everyone else. It cost all of us.

Most people will try to take advantage of the ill informed, reactionary public.  But, whether or not Trump is a loud mouth, or Obama is cool and calm, or Bush is folksy, or Clinton bites his lip, there is not much any of them could have done on this other than take some precautions.  People will use a crisis for their advantage, especially in an election year.  You and Bull and 4 Corners and most others that want to be political, are not very concerned with the virus at all.  It is just a time to grind your ax.  You can argue all day that he should have done something quicker, but then Dems were criticizing the moves.  Most Pols automatically land on the other side of every argument based on the D and R.

These are just societal facts in a Democracy and especially one that is in an election year.  This type of stuff is all the better in the Tinderbox.

There, they hope each other dies, wish you would die, hope you do things that kill you.  It is a right respectable place, if you are into that type stuff.

You don't know me. Im neither Rep or Dem. I just want a leader of this country with some morals and intelligence that leads. So try not judging someone when you don't know them.

For the fiftieth time we're barely testing anybody

As of 11 AM today the DHHS reports that NC has tested 186,362 people or about 1.8% of the state population:

We don't have an accurate number of infection people.  Completely misleading bs argument.

Likely the exact reason Trump doesn't want testing widespread. He knows it will  not look good.

So if a black liberal was in charge nobody would have died from this?

Sure, people would have died but I guarantee not nearly as many because any president with common sense wouldnt have sat on his hands for a full month and done nothing. Now Trum is trying to distance himself from the whole thing and move on like a coward. Because it is hurting his re election hopes.

    Of course  :eyeroll:

Called it a hoax at one of his rallies and said it was democrats coming after him after impeachmant failed. So yes. He took it as a personal attack.

according to you all, its either Trumps fault that the virus exists, or its Trumps fault that our country is shut down because of it

He waisted alot of time because he thought all of this was just a personal attack against him. So yeah! the is mostly true.

  16. 2 hours ago, bull123 said:

and why is this?...maybe because the government shut everything down?

Because we have a president and administration that completely blew the response to this virus. That is why!
