  1. I just want to see an improvement of the team. The QB is the final piece of a Championship team, but it isn't the only piece. I'd be fine with them starting Bridgewater next year - but I don't think that's going to happen regardless. It's pretty clear that something has gone on behind the scenes and feelings have been hurt.
  2. For all his bluster, that's his defining moment as a Panther.
  3. I really do wonder what people were watching last year. He was a competent NFL starter - 3,700 yards, 3 receivers having career years with him. His contract isn't ideal, but damn you'd think he has leprosy with how some of you act about him.
  4. It's the OSU system - but unfortunately it means you have to rebuild him from the ground up once he gets into the NFL. He has the physical tools.
  5. He's not a good player either.
  6. If the Chinless Wonder gets rid of Thompson and Boston in his first offseason I'll crown his ass. Clearly he knows what's up.
  7. He's twice the player YGM is - and I like YGM.
  8. The fact that he's been a healthy scratch is every reason why you move on from him.
  9. Guess which players the Texans would want? Burns, Brown, Chinn. That's how it is - they're dictating the price.
  10. I'm stuck on keeping as many Draft picks as possible, yes. Sure you can go and try to duplicate what the Rams have done, but I'd much rather follow through with the tried and tested method of building your team through the Draft. Rhule got a tune out of players like Smith / Hartfield / Franklin, but c'mon they're not long term options at their positions. They're marginal NFL players. Carter looked less worse than he did under Rivera, but again he's a marginal NFL player. You can't win with too many of those on your roster - which is what we have now.
  11. What, winning 4 games? 'Cos if you think we're surrounding him with significantly more talent than the Texans did with no first round pick for 3 years and no Chinn / Brown / Burns, think again.
  12. Not much of a rebuild if you trade away all your Draft capital for the next three years.
  13. The thing with the Jets is that they're currently set up to acquire a BUNCH of talent with all their additional picks. So, theoretically, they could cash all of that in NOW to pick up this uber-Franchise QB monster that you can't possibly compete without. Sure, it slows down their rebuild somewhat (1 talented, guaranteed NFL player at the most important position of need rather than 3-4 potential talented NFL players) , but they're not selling their future for him - they'd just be resetting their Draft capital back to the norm. The Jets and the Dolphins are the only two places that it makes sense for Watson to go. Everyone else, with that price tag, is selling their future for him. So unless you think the rest of your team is in place for 2-3 years and this guy is going to put you over the top, steer well clear.
  14. What? I've heard there's four in this Draft that we MUST trade up for.
  15. To be fair he was often the 16th man in on a tackle, but made it all about him with his machine gun celebration. I personally wouldn't want him on the staff, but you could feasibly keep him around in street clothes to be the 17th man in if you start missing his celebrations.
  16. (bonus points if any of you know who that is [and where it is])
  17. Out of interest, what was that elite QB's record last year when surrounded by a sub-par team?
  18. What's with this anti-Scott campaign that's going on right now? I for one really appreciate loading up the blog and seeing a coherent thread about the major news of the day. Saves me a whole bunch of time. Dude deserves a medal if anything.
  19. Take it a step further - why does no-one criticise Lance for playing on, what is essentially, a P5 team in the FCS? Watch his tape - guys are running WIIIIIIIIIIIDE open all over the shop.
  20. There's a lot to like about Wilson - his footwork is his biggest question for me. It needs reworking. I can absolutely understand why some teams have Wilson over Lawrence - Lawrence has too many glaring misreads and at times is worrying inaccurate for me to laud him as a generational talent. That said, if I had the #1 pick as a GM and it was my ass on the line, you could bet your mortgage on me taking Lawrence. He's just got too much going for him for Wilson to overcome (better athlete, more experience).
  21. I do question whether people actually watched Mahomes in college. That or I shouldn't be shot down for saying Jones gives me Brady vibes. It's the same tenuous comparison.
  22. Fingers fuging crossed. That's a terrible trade for us.
  23. He's a very good blocker now - clearly worked hard on it. He's been underutilised in Cleveland - wanted out last offseason. They'd trade him rather than release him though - they exercised his 5th year option after all.
