    It's not rocket science. Take away the run, flood the zones within 15 yards of the line of scrimmage and ask him to make NFL level throws beyond that. He can't.

    Hubbard has played very well this year - nobody is calling him a franchise RB though.

    The two major improvements are that he's now somehow finding space in the pocket - he's stepped up and scrambled several times where in the past he'd just take a sack - and Canales has basically thrown any play that requires velocity on the ball out of the playbook. Is it sustainable? Who knows.

    7TDs, 7INTs on the season, under 200 yards passing again today. The bar is so low around here. The D is playing way above its talent level, the OLine is fantastic and Hubbard has 1,000 yards already. Everything points back to one thing being a big problem, but apparently I'm now in the minority pointing it out.

    What the committee is saying (lower case C, cos fug 'em) is that if you don't play in the SEC or the BIG10 you'd better win your Conference because otherwise they'll find every excuse to omit you.

    I wasn't lobbying for the Canes to get in (although obviously we should be in - two road losses by a combined 9 points). I just wanted others to feel pain.

    I thought we were about putting the best teams in? What about Texas' season suggests they're one of the best teams?

    Accuracy. He has everything else but pinpoint accuracy. In College that Clemson system just asked him to get the ball to a spot on time. Whenever he was asked to put it in a tight window / to the back shoulder he couldn't do it consistently.

    As I've got older I've invested less and less time in scouting prospects - we never Draft the guys I fall in love with.

    South Carolina are one of the best 12 teams in the country. Ole Miss are not.

    Why not? SMU missed all of the ACC big boys this season and lost to Clemson. Texas don't currently have a ranked win and lost to Georgia's backup QB. Now that it's a crapshoot with regards to your Conference schedule, the Championship Game has to matter. Kick 'em both out.

    This recruiting class (33 of 34 5 stars have gone to SEC / BIG10 teams) and this CFP Committee ruling has shown you what way the sport is going. Get in one of those two conferences or just make up the numbers. Sad times.
