  1. I could see if it if you are in hardcore win now mode because drafting a player will always be a gamble but where the panthers are I would much rather them draft multiple receivers to gamble on if they have to.
  2. First off Diggs costs a lot more against the cap than a rookie. Second off I dont like the idea of trading draft picks for potentially the deepest posistion in the draft.
  3. Hes Mingo on paper and a bit faster long speed Laviska on the field.
  4. Hes a bit faster Shenault imo.
  5. He has the uncommon skill set of being really fast with elite quickness. Hes a good route runner. Im totally fine taking him, my one concern is he gets knocked off his routes easily.
  6. Burton would be wr #4 on most boards if he didnt have character issues, but because of that some teams have allegedly taken him entirely off their boards. Hes wr from bama.
  7. One thing to remember is a great coordinator sometimes makes a terrible head coach and vice versa. The roles are very different. I can only think of a handful of great head coaches who were known as specifically great coordinators beforehand. Steichen comes to mind. Part of the rumors have been thats why Ben Johnson keeps going back to coordinator. Not sure he can handle/ wants to handle all the other stuff that being the head coach entails.
  8. So if other teams had been chasing him it would have made it a better hire? How much of that is on your perspective as a fan. For the most part the best coaching hires are never the big name coaches everyone is chasing and the media is drooling over when you look back at it. Canales was far from my first choice as well. As a fan though I see no reason not to at least hope for the best and statistically speaking nothing said about his history with QBs is untrue.
  9. Yea I definitely get it but right now until camps start, words and hope are all we have. Taking everything as its most negative variable seems like a miserable way to be a fan. I always feel more negatively than positively I suppose but always taking everything as possible worst case scenario seems almost pointless to be a fan. Whats the fun in being a fan that way.
  10. Yea regardless of what these people want to argue, or if you want to say he had little impact or not. Every qb he has worked with had their best statistical season while he was working with them.
  11. Baker was baker everywhere? He definitely had the best season of his 6 last year. Im not even saying Canales was responsible. Why are people getting so defensive about listing the 3 qbs he has worked with in his career?
  12. He went Wilson, to Geno, to Baker. And Baker looked ok at best at the rams, he just won that first game in the end and everyone blew up then.
  13. I believe the high school qb stuff is a bit of a stretch. I think he only played qb his sr year because they didnt have anyone else and he passed for like 800 yards. It was by no means what he was used to.
  14. I dont thats bs though. Even with Brady start training camp focusing on the basics and fly through them as fast as it was unnecessary. You spend as little or as much time as needed on it. Doesnt mean you wouldnt start there with everyone.
  15. How do you explain not having any questions at all about his first 4 seasons?
  16. They are big receivers, who are very fast in a straight line, who struggle with quickness/route running and creating seperation in college. I dont get the people who dont have lots lf questions about legette. He literally was terrible until his 5th season. Maybe more comparable to a faster straight speed Laviska?
  17. If I remember correctly, he openly campaigned to stay.
  18. Not many players are fast and quick. Also runs really good routes. Legette was really bad till his last season (his 5th season) how do you feel about him? He is older than Mingo.
  19. I agree with the last part. Just because as a franchise we sucked at drafing wrs in round 2 doesnt mean the new front office shouldnt draft one in round 2. The main thing that scares me is their continued infatuation with big possession receivers. Mingo and apparently Legette/Coleman. Those are what never pan out that often from college to the pros.
  20. It did, everywhere but in Deion's self absorbed delusions.
  21. I really wonder about where Jermaine Burton is ranked on most teams boards. Havent heard much about him during the process because of his character concerns.
  22. Sure, I dont know any more than anyone else. Ive been wrong lots of time. I just prefer my receivers with burst and short area quickness/change of direction. He can get better at route running most likely but with those other things, he is who he is. Just not my cup of tea so to speak.
  23. Im not, I'm comparing them off of their poor route running and lack of seperation and lateral quickness. Its just a coincidence their measurables are really similar.
  24. Im fine with taking him in the third. This was mostly all in response to the people wanting him at 33 or saying he may not make it out of the first. Mitchell or Chop Robinson are my #1 hopes for pick 33.
