  1. That was cool as fug to watch. Shows just how much this team likes Sam. Was that Sam who said : "Okay...Family on 3. 1...2...3....FAMILY!" BTW, there should be more than one Game Ball, right?
  2. Zod said "Game Balls" (Plural) So here is my 3 Game Balls : 1.) CMC (without a doubt) 2.) Sam Darnold (who did not throw ONE inadvisable pass this game) 3.) The Entire Panthers "D" giving Zach the "D" (if you get my meaning).
  3. Which is shocking considering what we all feared. Maybe that changes next week but for now, they kept Sam upright more often than not. Sam just has to do a better job being more accurate in the redzone. If they continue to play this way, I like our chances going forward.
  4. Darnold looking at Wilson getting pummeled behind a porous O-Line LMAO!!!
  5. Irrational white knight? What is that even supposed to mean? Agreeing to disagree is just a way of me saying "I'm no longer going to argue with you". You have your viewpoint and I have mine. Was I being "intellectually dishonest" when I said that Sam had to be better in the Redzone? Look, I think you're a cool poster and I don't want that to change in my eyes here. So let's let drop this and focus on next week, okay?
  6. Well then we'll just have to agree to disagree because I disagree with that take. Overall, though, Sam has to get better at connecting with his receivers in the endzone. It's only Game 1 so let's see how he progresses in Game 2 against the aints.
  7. Floppin, ever consider that Robby was so fast that he outran Sam's pass a bit and had to slow up? Hell...he had both defenders beat by almost 2 yards.... I do not call that an underthrown ball by ANY STRETCH. Those calling it underthrown are just looking for sh-t to complain about with Sam because we did not draft Justin Fields (and they're still whining about that even now).
  8. No it wasn't "pretty obvious". He was ahead of both Defenders so much that he had to slow down because HE WAS OUTRUNNING the Pass, not because Sam underthrew the ball!! You're making it sound like Sam threw a Duck into the wind up in the air or something...
  9. Which is a dumb take. Like you pointed out, Robby made it look like it was underthrown because he beat them so bad and was ahead of them so damn much. Hope the Playbook opens more next week against the Saints. Winston had himself a GAME...Jesus Christ.
  10. Okay..I went back and looked at the throw to Robby... How the FUG does ANYONE HERE believe that ball was Underthrown? Are you f'n kidding me with that sh-tty take?? That ball was on-target with Robby having 2 steps ahead of both Jets defenders!! WTF, man?
  11. Only 3 points scored in the entire 2nd half? You damn right the play calling wasn't great.
  12. Because he likes being a Negative Nancy or Contrarian? (case in point : See above reply by him to me) I don't know how that person's mind works. All I do know is that, yes. Sam WAS pretty good today though he could be better so with that said : ON TO GAME 2!!
  13. I'm waiting for CPsinceDay1 to get that honor, courtesy of @rayzor.
  14. That really REALLY illustrates the need to get better at OL. That was just bad by Daley. CMC is amazing. Just amazing.
  15. With all due respect, CB, have you not read the thread at all? No one is "freaking out over darnold". It's just one poster doing all he can to downplay whatever solid performance Sam had.
  16. Teddy would not be able to throw the ball to Robby like that. JUST STOP. That throw to Robby was a big play. Just look at ALL THE GREEN THERE with NO RED. No one is. That's for Tepper to decide, not you. Stop acting like it's your money. Nailed it. They were so convinced that we would see the 2020 Darnold and when they did not get what they desired, they started nitpicking to try and salvage their sh-tty narrative. That's actually what you're saying, though. Or at least it sounds like you want him to be viewed as "terrible" by others here so you can be "right". Sam would have to stick around for more than 2 years, though, which means he would have to be re-signed. which means he, hopefully, continues to get better and more efficient.
  17. Or some fans just want him to fail so they can stand on their soapbox and say "I told you so". Right, AU-Panther?
  18. I thought about making one but i think many of you have your own funny thoughts on what Sam was telling Zach here. Here's mine : Sam : "Now you know how I felt going through that sh-t. Good Luck, man. "
  19. I've always wondered : Who is the guy in your Avatar?
  20. yeah he did. The missed TD pass to TMJ was the most glaring, imo. I was like "OOF! DAMMIT!". Hindsight being Hindsight, the final score should've been 26-14 but beggars can't be choosers. Sam took care of the Football (Not blaming him on that fumble-handoff as I think that was more Ricci running into Sam's path when he was trying to do a hand-off to the RB), threw no picks nor did he throw any passes that Hit a DB in the hands like he did against the Steeler's during Preseason. He was solid overall, though I think he has plenty of room for improvement. Rhule is treating him like a rookie and that's a good thing as he's finally getting some real DEVELOPMENT as an NFL player. Let's see what next week brings....
  21. Here's one thing that really impressed me and it was an incomplete pass : He was rolling to his right....no one was open and what did he do? He THREW THE BALL AWAY!! Last season he would be trying to throw it into coverage ala Hero Ball to make a play and that would been risky(and disastrous if it was picked off). He's being coached well at least in that aspect.
  22. Yeah...but also remember that TMJ did have a couple of dropsies, too. It's a work in progress for both him and Sam. Hopefully they get more on the same page as the season goes along. Sam has to be a bit more accurate, especially in the Red zone where there is a sure TD but it is what it is. I'll take the win but man....the final score is a bit disappointing. I joked pre-game that the Jets fans were believing they(the Jets) would hold the Panthers to 20 points. Didn't think it would actually happen(I'm not counting Santoso's missed freebie). smh.
  23. Nope. Because if I did, I would've noticed the joke. I'll see myself out....
  24. Welp. Might as well watch something else on TV then. Since you said it, it must be true.
