    1. Why did we extend Cmac when he had years (plural) on his contract?

    2. Why did we extend Anderson when he had a year left on his and we spent a high pick on a wr in the draft and with Moore coming up as well?

    3. Why did we pick up the 5th year option on Darnold?

    4.  Why didnt we address the oline in the draft?

I am sure there are more but those are burning questions for me as we sit going down the tubes.  For a brief minute it seemed like we were ahead of schedule in getting out from some bad deals but damn we are on the hook for a few more years with some dead weight.

These are all valid questions, brother.

I like Robby, but I would have much rather lost him in free agency and moved CMC to receiver to prolong his career.

Our RB rotation would still be solid and you can always find rotational RBs in free agency/undrafted guys.

As far as the oline. We passed on very good offensive linemen, & when we drafted Brady Christensen he was hyped up as a “steal” by our guys. Baffling that he can’t crack the rotation with this group of guys.

I think that speaks to how bad Rhule and his guys are at scouting offensive linemen.

Half of these guys were talking up our weapons last season and have Teddy's week arm was holding the offense back.

This season now everybody sucks and is holding Sam back.

    Yep.
I honestly think Teddy is better than Sam. At least he’s faster at going through progressions, more accurate, and doesn’t give the ball to the opposing team as much.

We had a coordinator discussion, so here’s one for the head coaches.

    Dom Capers
    George Seifert
    John Fox
    Ron Rivera
    Matt Rhule

Not including the three-game tenure of Perry Fewell, here’s how I rank them:

Rivera - Rough start/finish, but led us to our best season ever, 1 NFC title, 3 division titles and 4 playoff appearances. Players loved him and while his message grew stale after 9 years, it’s very clear Ron’s far better than what we replaced him with in every conceivable category
Capers - Didn’t have the highs of Fox’s tenure but he didn’t have the lows (almost did though), and he’s not nearly as much of a dick
Fox - Fox got us to our first Super Bowl and had, coaching-wise, a good reputation around the league while here, but he absolutely didn’t try in 2010 bc of his JR feud
Seifert - Came so close to a playoff berth in his first year and guided us to our worst season ever, but also had the best draft we’ve ever had
Rhule - Has contributed nothing but shitty motivational-speaker platitudes and a penchant for hiring and signing Temple and Baylor people over people with better skill. Will go down as “the dark era” in our history

I tried to like Matt Rhule, but the guy has been awful at in game decisions, personnel decisions favoring baylor and temple guys, and the two QBs he picked out were pretty bad.

Dare I say that his 2nd handpicked QB is worse than the first?

Ah yes, Sam Darnold, our lone bright spot. Our messiah. The best player on the team.

This is what most of our fanbase seems to think. We just don’t have the receivers or a good enough defense, man. Sam Darnold is our lone bright spot every week!

Sam was awful yesterday as well.

We literally have Jets Darnold and over half of our fan base acts like it’s everyone’s fault but his, because Matt Rhule says so. Darnold is a complete disaster, even with a clean pocket.

The counter argument regarding the drops is frustrating.  It doesn't mean he still didn't suck the past 3 weeks.  Are we ignoring the game setting INT? Or the early miss on the wide open DJ for an easy bomb?

He's good at rolling out yet bad at improv.  He doesn't read the field as well as you'd like to see.  Jittery.  Yes, a lot of these are because of NYJ and the OL we're giving him, but still, we're just all sorts of discombobulated from coaching to line play to dropsies to the man behind center.  Bad offense all around

I see a lot of people in denial that Sam is really really bad. He sucks a pre-snap reads. He sucks at his progressions. His accuracy sucks. He sucks from a clean pocket.

People are so quick to throw our receivers under the bus, & rightfully so because that was a bad game by them and Chuba as far as making catches.

I guess they forgot how poorly Sam has played when they can catch and are open too, which is often because we have a stacked receiver group that seems to be open a lot, but Sam opts for the most covered guy or a late throw 90% of the time.
