Watching this game would be like me purposefully watching Fox News- it doesn't do anything but piss me off and make me an unpleasant person. Why should I jeopardize my health like that?
If that’s the case, watch more fox news and tune in to the game tonight!

Just my opinion though... but...
I don't think beating a team that just drafted 2nd overall is a statement. I'd say Cardinals/Bills/Buccs Qualify as Statement games. This and a lot of our first half (of the season) games are "must win" games in order for us to make the playoffs.
I fully expect a win. I think the only prediction you can make is whether or not it will be easy or ugly.
Prediction: 27 - 17
Beating a team that just drafted number 2 overall isn’t a statement. Beating them 31 - 6 though is definitely a statement in my opinion.
Love the username btw, brother. Ain’t nothing like Carolina livin’!

Panthers 27
Jets 17
Panthers defense does a good job shutting down Wilson but do break down and allow for one long TD pass to rookie Elijah Moore who beats Donte Jackson.
Darnold starts slow and early on the Jets look like they might win the game. Darnold turns it on after settling down and the Panthers pull away in the second half.
The Elijah Moore stans on here tho

The average oline rank for literally the last 10 years is…..
18.
The average rank of the last 4-6 teams left in the NFL come playoffs in the past 20 years is….
like 5.
There is a reason people freak out about it. Nothing is worse except a bad defense.
don’t tell him that. football fans are only supposed to know the bare minimum!
we’re supposed to act shocked when the season starts and jordan gross isn’t at left tackle.

Elijah is about to make you know who he is. Sad to say but you'll get my point soon enough.
Now lets hit back on you comparing Crowder to David Moore.
Looks like you only pay attention to college football the way you have zero knowledge of the NFL guys but speak of Elijah Moore as if he’s about to be the next Julio Jones on day 1.

I know who he is, kid.
I’m confused on why he is talked about on here as if he’s the best WR we’ll be facing all season.
Jaycee Horn and Action Jackson about to make you know who they are. fug the Jets!

PFF stats don’t show when he got beat by being overly aggressive and the QB couldn’t make the throw, bad zone coverage by the Gameocks he was part of, his plays that would be instant flags in the NFL, etc. and he is overly reliant on play IMO that gives auto first downs in the NFL.
He is the most talented DB we have ever drafted. He should be great down the road for us. But yeah, I don’t expect Revis to be on the field for us this year. That’s not fair to Horn.
Stats are stats, and Jaycee Horn outplayed Moore when they were matched up. He played in college half a year ago and has had NFL caliber coaching along with tons of reps against NFL veterans. Why do you think he can’t improve since his last college game?
Not sure where this “Horn is no Revis” rhetoric comes from, but that is not a very good comparison and Revis is far from the only good CB to play in the NFL.
Let Jaycee Horn play and hold him to pretty high expectations because he went number 8 overall. Just cause the mainstream media isn’t hot on him doesn’t mean he ain’t a dog. Let the kid play and stop trying to mention him like he should be a top 5 CB of all time from day one.

Wasn't remotely comparing players. I'm comparing sub par veterans vs. high upside rookies. Good ones come in and play well right out of the gate these days. My only point really was Moore has much more of a chance to burn us then Crowder did.
Check out Crowder’s stats with bad QBs. Good, now check on David Moore’s stats with Russell Wilson.

We're going to wish Crowder was out there. Elijah Moore is the real deal. That's like wishing to go against Terrace Marshall Jr. because he's a rookie rather than ex David Moore.
Not a very good comparison for either player tbh.

Elijah Moore played the Gamecocks twice
11 rec , 129 yards
13 rec, 225 yards
Now show his stats when being guarded by seatbelt.

It's waivers and bottom of the roster guys. If you are being whelmed by this poo then you are doing it wrong.

It’s back of the roster, fringe guys. I mean really….who cares?
So you don’t care who the depth pieces are on the team?
I guess we should sign The Golden Calf of Bristol to be our 3rd QB.

PJ Walker? No, Im not forgetting him. PJ is competent as far as backup QBs go.
PJ is a competent XFL QB, but that’s about where it ends.
Brayvion Roy is a waste of a roster spot, as is Colin Thompson. All three guys are low floor, low ceiling guys.
-
Too bad there are no QBs from Temple or Baylor. No one else stands a chance.

41% completions this preseason. See all these guys getting cut around the league today at QB? Far better numbers than PJ. Pick one, sign him, we are now upgraded for cheap.PJ is a total waste of a roster spot. He needs to be cut immediately.

I think Grier won the battle with this last game but I think we should keep both of them to be honest.
Walker has the skills to keep us competitive and Grier is actually showing good potential for the first time. Should Darnold get hurt or crumble, it's worth having them both around to evaluate.
I agree. PJ Walker should be kept on the practice squad.
-
I’ll still take Bonnafon’s splash plays against the 1’s in actual games over Spencer Brown’s occasional splash against mostly 3’s in the preseason.
