  1. We are second in the table in regards to recent form and just 5 points off 4th. We are starting to play really well right now. Pretty remarkable considering we haven't even had our best player in months.
  2. Kroos plays the position least likely to be scrutinized at a club averaging like 3 goals per match. Order of fan attack on a club's players: 1) Forwards for not scoring enough goals --- 2) Defense for leaking in too many goals 3) Attacking mids for not setting up forwards enough 4) Holding mids for not linking up play well enough Reus will be expected to score a lot of goals for Madrid and all eyes will be on him from the moment he arrives, if he does go. It's no mystery why James Rodriguez isn't taking anywhere near the flack from fans that Gareth Bale is, even with worse performances than Bale. And there were like 85,000 fans at Ronaldo's presentation. Yes, I'm sure not everyone loved him, but an overwhelming majority did.
  3. Not necessarily. He's not going to command a record fee ever again When Bale becomes unhappy enough with the situation and Real Madrid are determined to move on, he'll be sold at a much lower cost. Probably 40-60m. This puts clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, City (maybe), United, and even Bayern all in play for his services. Could even see a potential swap deal involving Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale trading places.
  4. He's Welsh and Spanish politics. That's all you really need to know. Marco Reus would do well to pay attention to Bale's treatment. Obviously he's not going to command as high a fee as Bale, but they can still be harsh.
  5. He's proven he's above Championship competition, but I agree. He probably should have stayed. Still think he could be a pretty deadly sub in the 75th minute. Take a tired Sterling off and sub on Ibe. You really don't lose any pace.
  6. I stand by my statement that Liverpool aren't buying anyone this window. Lallana, Can, and Markovic are finally starting to come good and Studge is due back in less than 2 weeks. Rodgers doesn't need anymore selection dilemmas, and that's what new players would create. We know what Rodgers does when he has choices to make...
  7. Jordon Ibe has been recalled from Derby County. Tore it up there, but I'm not sure he's ready for Prem football. Dude has pace for days tough.
  8. Ah, I didn't even notice you put it in USD. Bony probably isn't worth that much, but I'm pretty sure he was top 2 in goals scored in 2014, so he's probably worth more than 18m pounds. City will probably offload Jovetic, and Negredo is moving on a permanent deal.
  9. The Wilfried Bony price tag will more likely be 28m. It will also be mostly funded by the sale of Alvaro Negredo. Wilfried Bony will likely be the second in line striker for Man City. And being as Sergio Aguero is always injured, he'll get a decent number of starts for them.
  10. Yea, well Daniel Sturridge has been back in Liverpool for like 3 hours and hasn't hurt himself yet. So, nana nana boo boo!
  11. Liverpool and first team doctor Zaf Iqbal have parted ways. Probably the start of a complete overhaul of LFC's physio department.
  12. Pearce states we not in for Shaqiri, Suso going on a free transfer to Milan, Valdes joining Man Utd, & Gerrard going to LA Galaxy in July. Thanks, Rodgers! You're a genius.
  13. A few things if I remember correctly. We bid £16m, but Swansea demanded £24m. We may have eventually spent £24m, but Bony demanded wages that would have broken our wage scale, so Rodgers decided to look elsewhere. Now we have Balo.
  14. I'd say there is no chance the board approves Rodgers spending in excess of £20m on one player. Berahino move is a non-starter really. I will say Shaqiri will not move to LFC. At Inter, he will be a guaranteed fixture in their starting lineup. Players look at Rodgers and know that if they blink at him wrong, they might find themselves on the bench for 6 months. It's not a very attractive situation.
  15. It's been pretty tough for me. He's been with the club since I started watching in 2003 (before that obviously). I have never known Liverpool without Gerrard. I've been preparing myself for his departure for a while, but it's still hard.
  16. Steven Gerrard will announce tomorrow that he is leaving LFC at the end of the season.
  17. Window opens soon. Interesting to see what goes down. See if any Prem clubs on the outside looking in make some desperation moves.
  18. Can is going to be a huge part of our midfield for years to come. The fact that he plays with such poise at 20 is pretty amazing. I'm still not sold on Marko. Some good ability, but he's so raw. Dispossessed pretty frequently and caught out trying to do too much. He'd be drastically improved if he just got his first touches down.
  19. Can looked so calm on the ball today. Not rattled in the slightest. Even moved the ball forward really well, much the way Agger used to. And he's only 20!
