Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.

So glad we drafted a project LT in round 1 -
Canales needs to have this team ready to play in week 1 this year. Both game 1’s under his tenure have not been close.

Hopefully you’re right and I’m wrong, but no one else was slipping over and over. If it didn’t happen so much on film it wouldn’t have bothered me. We’ll see what happens though. Hopefully I’m wrong since I want all of our draft picks to hit. He was just my least favorite player we could’ve taken in that range. Just my opinion. Inb4 someone takes it personal again

Unless every poster on here is either an ex NFL player/GM/ college coach/ D1 player, how does coaching flag make me any less credible than any other poster on this board? Especially trolls like yourself But let’s talk Monroe Freeling.. Yes, he’s big and fast. He’s also very clumsy and uncoordinated. Always falling over himself or getting thrown to the ground by smaller defenders. His drill combine performance confirmed the same thing I saw on film over and over and.. over. Extremely uncoordinated. Giraffe like. He plays smaller than his size. It doesn’t matter what I say though, I’ll just bump this thread in a year or two when I’m correct. If not, you can bump it and I’ll eat my crow. Deal? I was right about XL. I was right about T-mac. Im very confident I’ll be right again. KC, Thieneman, Iheanachor would’ve been better picks at our spot. Continue on with your daily trolling since you have no football knowledge. I’ve never actually seen you make an insightful post before.. 99% of your posts are “got ya” one liners, BY hate(only decent take), or stats/RAS scores you get from other people on X, or scouting reports you read. If not, prove me wrong and actually say something insightful about Freeling without mentioning his RAS, size or potential. Sorry to interrupt your daily trolling, continue on clown. I’m sure you have some one-liners to cook up!

And where would he play for us?

Give me a break. UGA has one of the most "gimmicky" offenses i've ever seen since their QB is very limited as a passer. The ball was out immediately on almost every pass. When UGA did the traditional 3 step drop, routes that take longer to develop etc, his pass blocking leaves a lot to be desired if you watch his film closely, which 99% of the posters loving the pick haven't done. That's fine if you haven't watch him play, but the people who have watched him play have the right to their opinion. Its a message board. He didn't go up against any great pass rushers. Average run blocker. There's a lot of unknowns with this kid that makes it a risky selection. He's truly a boom or bust prospect. Everyone on here assumes he's going to reach his ceiling when in reality that rarely happens with "potential" prospects.

How does a physical unicorn get skipped over by 4 different GM’s who drafted OT? Usually those players fly up the draft boards in the last few months.. Its because his film in real pass drop situations that actually translates to the NFL leaves a lot to be desired.. Yes, he can be great based off his potential, but that’s all projection. That’s not the player he is now. I remember drafting a WR based off “potential and projection” 2 years ago. How’s he doing?

When a 6'7 mountain of a man can't start as a freshman or a sophomore, that's a red flag. Usually there's a reason why.. He played at UGA.. You can argue that their coaching and nutrition program is better than most NFL programs. His technique is a mess. He lunges way too much. Not overly physical. Had a 62 run blocking score vs college competition..His strength is pass blocking, but how often were pass rushers allowed to pin their ears back against that UGA run-heavy offense?? What elite pass rusher did he ever face? His reps vs Kendrick Faulk were underwhelming. It's on YouTube. He had only 113 "true pass blocking" reps, which exclude quick screens and throws under 2 seconds. He was 30th in the nation. But even in those 113 reps, the defender had to be aware of the run much more than they usually would since they were playing UGA. He was hidden by UGA's offense. The more I think about it, I'll be surprised if this kid ever starts a complete 17-game season for us. He has so much to overcome.

I was never a fan of his. He was my least favorite projected 1st round OT. I literally just saw him get beat by Keldrick Faulk’s teammate on a clip they just showed on ESPN. The odds of Freeling becoming a legit starting OT is a toss up. I wish we wouldn’t drafted a known commodity like Thienemen, Lemon, KC.

He ran great and jumped high, but he struggled with the drills. I literally thought to myself “I hope we don’t take this player” during the combine. I just don’t understand why Carolina feels the need to draft these raw, boom or bust players in the 1st round with very little college production? I thought Dan Morgan learned his lesson last draft when he took the highly productive WR in TMac. I don’t have time to go into detail, but his technique leaves a lot to be desired if you watch him closely.. Why is a 6’7 OT with elite athleticism the 5th OT taken in a weak draft? That’s a red flag for me. People are blindly praising the pick in here without ever watching the kid play

He had one of the worst on-field combine drill workouts I’ve ever seen. He was the only lineman who kept falling over himself drill in, drill out. It was bizarre. His tape is pretty solid though. I was hoping for Max Iheanachor if we went OT .Props to Canales with the smoke screen at the NFL Coach meetings though.
