Am I the only one that can't believe JJ McCarthy is being sold as a high end QB prospect? I watched a fair amount of his Michigan games, and I did not see a pro QB.
I don't get it either, his legs are intriguing though. Honestly reminds me of Kapernick in some ways where he can be a dynamic runner but limited passer.

This guy is not a good NFL player, so hopefully a depth piece
-
It will be a bit of a homecoming for him and he'll never live up to his hype and that's fine. He's still really good in the run game and can tilt the field and hold the edge unlike Burns, PLEASE GAWD.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I WILL IMMEDIATELY BUY HIS JERSEY PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

That... makes sense? Nice.

Gamecock! Sign him!

So in order to try and savage Byce Young they are dropping 150+ million(90 guaranteed) on OGs??
Trading and selecting Byce Young was a real curse.
It’s a good plan for a short QB. Then if he fails again, you select another QB who has some talent at o line

I'm just glad we're done with this whole Burns saga, went about as poorly as possible (thanks Fitt!)

We are properly tanking now aren't we

Hey if you want a short, tiny QB to be worth a single squat in this league then the Interior OL has to be stout

I still don't understand why or how she has such a public facing role for the franchise when she has zero qualifications for it

I'm talking game watcher. Jekyll Hyde. Especially 2022 where he sort of emerged.
Yeah I know what you mean. There's an NFL QB in there somewhere though, definitely could sit out a year and learn would be a huge boon for him I think. Great, great value if he falls into 3rd round or later.

Rattler is an odd duck. If you took away like 4 games from his college career.....he is a UDFA. And if you just pay attention to like 4 games, you think he could be good.
If you are a stat reader, sure, I guess? He's got NFL traits though which is the stuff that matters in reality. Was the big reason I leaned towards CJ over BY at the end of the day.

Ravens drafted him round 1, biggest whiff ever by the Ravens.
I was so fuging worried we were going to take him over DJ Moore that year
Oh wow I forgot it was the Ravens... anyways point still stands.

I'm from Columbia, but I think this team needs to give up on Gamecocks. They all seem to contract the injury bug when they come to the Panthers.
Edit: In other words, no to Legette at 33.
But do take Spencer Rattler in the third please thanks

He's a Gamecock so I'll always root for him, shame it didn't really work out here. I'll be honest I don't even know what he's that good at lol, was baffled when ATL took him in round 1.

I have said it for a long time but we have become a franchise of nice guys and check cashers. I do think Morgan gets that.
I mean, name one person on the offense with attitude? Zero.
How many on the defense have it? Derrick Brown. A little. That's 1 person on the entire team.

WAGs will certainly enjoy seeing him on TV

Temperature check on the team you take a coach from is always a good look. For comparisons, here is the Colts subreddit when we hired Reich. It consists of lots of "he's a good guy, but glad he's not here anymore"

Well I finally get my wish of a young-ish OC with a track record in the NFL. I'll take it tbh!
