  1. At least many of you are grasping length of the path to being competitive again. There still seemed to be those thinking we are a big free agent or 2 and a second rd WR draft away. Ps.....Chris Jones and Calvin Ridley are not in our plans
  2. This should be where you stop listening to them on this topic.
  3. Those other guys played run defense very well. Yall want to pay a 1 dimensional second tier pass rusher a premier contract why?
  4. He couldn't have said more explicitly that he left for a change of location. He straight up says it would have been different if he hadn't gone to school in NC.
  5. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/07/19/panthers-julius-peppers-hall-of-honor-bears-packers/ “There were a lot of things going on at that time,” he added. “But yeah, the personal growth was one of the things that was like a driving force and that decision. You know, I loved it here. I love the Carolinas. But there was a part of me that just wanted to go, go see something different. I think that if I had gone to high school here and gone to college in, I don’t know, Miami, or New York or wherever, anywhere, any other city, right, and then got drafted by the Panthers, I probably would have had a different feeling. “But the thing from being born and raised, going to school here, coming to the Panthers, it was lovely; it was a perfect scenario. But I think I got a little bit fatigued with the whole thing. It was overwhelming at times. Whatever you want to call it, the celebrity, you know, it was a little bit much at the time.”
  6. Huh? Peppers left because he explicitly wanted to
  7. He's been tagged. He's either kept or traded at this point. Unless you are dumbass Dave Gettleman
  8. This was the first out year in Jacksons contract. It's not really surprising timing.
  9. Allright....haven't we had enough At least I learned a lot about the OP
  10. What drugs are you assuming they are doing in Detroit?
  11. You might want to read up on that group a bit. Even if they weren't a front for the former owner it would not erase other native groups stances or speak for all natives.
  12. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/523206-how-they-got-here-the-butterfly-effect "Having known who Randy Moss was for several months, the selection should have been obvious. Moss was easily the best non-quarterback in the draft and possessed a freakish blend of height and speed that nobody had ever seen before. There was certainly baggage and immaturity that were concerns to most teams that might have a shot at Moss, but nobody could deny his talent, period."
  13. https://www.freep.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/wolverines/2018/04/29/manning-moss-bests-and-busts-1998-nfl-draft/560480002/ "By almost any standard, the wide receiver should have been a slam-dunk top 10 pick. Moss caught 96 passes for 1,820 yards and 26 touchdowns in his junior season at Marshall, finishing fourth in Heisman Trophy voting. But perceived disciplinary issues in his past — including revoked scholarship offers from Notre Dame and Florida State — sent his draft stock plummeting." https://www.the33rdteam.com/remembering-vikings-drafting-randy-moss-25-years-later/ "Moss was low on our priority list heading into the combine. We had the No. 21 overall pick after a playoff season, and we had him rated among our top five players in the draft that also produced Hall of Famers Peyton Manning, Charles Woodson and Alan Faneca. We assumed Moss would go in the top 10 and not get past the Dallas Cowboys at No. 8. Moss and his agent figured the same thing, which was part of their thinking in having him skip the combine to have a couple more weeks to train for his pro"
  14. Read the linked article. And this one... https://www.profootballhistory.com/randy-moss/ I'm feeling old. I'm realizing people weren't following thus stuff in real time like I was. He was a huge story everywhere he went. Lou Holtz said "Randy Moss was the best high school football player I've ever seen." Bobby Bowden said "He was as good as Deion Sanders. Deion's my measuring stick for athletic ability, and this kid was just a bigger Deion." A Cowboys scout said that he was the most gifted prospect in football history. I honestly didn't realize people don't remember all the hype about him. He fell only because of legal issues
  15. I'm not giving my opinion. I'm pointing out how the analyst landscape views it. Plenty have him to be the 2nd wr drafted this year behind Nabers.
  16. In January by the time the draft came around snyone who liked Stroud was ridiculed by the masse.
  17. That being said I don't believe anything this guy says.
  18. People still forget that Young was the consensus first overall pick. It wasn't just Tepper. It was nearly all of you here as well
  19. No. He's actually elite. Big difference. And everyone currently wants him to get paid so not sure what you are trying here
  20. I'm comparing him to other recent prospects.
  21. This will make heads explode
  22. Randy Moss was definitely considered generational https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-randy-moss-rookie-season-minnesota-vikings-1998
