The amount of people that throw away their lives to sexually abuse someone is ridiculous. Mel Tucker is a damn fool.

to sexually harass the person you brought in to talk about sexual harassment is on another level

Honestly, I think Rhule will probably be fine at Nebraska. He's just far better suited for the college game. I just don't think he's going to bring them back to national prominence. You have to score in today's game. Even Saban realized that and quit it with his old school three yards and a cloud of dust offense with smothering defense approach.

I think he will always be middle of the pack at best there. Looking back to his last year at Baylor he went 0-3 vs ranked teams and won 5 games by 1 score. The big 10 is a lot better than the big 12 especially when they get rid of the east/west divisions next year. there is no way he is going to consisently beat Ohio St/Michigan/Penn St

Yeah they should have signed Justin Jefferson /s

The team did what it could. They drafted the best WR on their board with their highest pick after #1, signed two former pro bowl WRs in FA, a pass catching TE, and have a 3rd year 2nd round WR they’re high on. I’m not sure what else people want. The only option I’ve seen people talk about is Hopkins, but we really have no idea whether the team looked into him or not and whether he would have considered us (though his public comments suggest not.) People act like free agents just have no say in where they will go and the Panthers get first dibs on every player they want. If you want to say signing Chark was a mistake then why don’t you fill me in on all the great alternatives.

Here is a list of WR FA from this year. Remember Hopkins wasnt released until after the draft too so he wasnt available at the start of FA. Not many great options out there. I still like Chark based on contract/potential even if he misses a few games.

Yes, I get this, but my issue was that we all knew this and decided sign an injury prone player to fill our top outside WR position for the season when we didn't have any other proven outside WRs on the roster.

    That's all

And again as I've said, I'd be completely fine with this WR room if it was a few years into Bryce's career.  I just don't like it for his rookie year where developing him and building up his confidence is so key.

So who should we have signed as a free agent instead?

    Another TE...

alright hear me out, lets sign him and Okwuegbunam and Kuntz plus keep our 5 TEs. Then we would just need 2 more TEs before we are set. We can run 10 TEs and Bryce out there....Super Bowl!!!

Scott is better? His draft resume is poo and he has never won a trade lmao a 2nd and 4th for Darnold and guaranteed contract? LMFAOOO a third for henderson?!?! MOVING UP FOR CORAL?!? OK

What about the Choosen Anderson trade???? He clearly won that. Getting anything at all for him was a win.

He convinced the Dolphins to give up a 7th rounder for Greg Little

And while he swung and missed on Bridgewater he got a 6th round pick for him (better than nothing)

Again setting in a parking lot and trying to do the math, it looks like 15 teams went under for 33 total an average of 2.2.  Pretty close to the over

And I thought this entire discussion was how vegas viewed us and may have to happen in regards to the expectations for us to win the division or win the wild card.

I am not married to these numbers so they could be wrong and I will double check once I get a bigger screen and a calculator.   But it seems the average of how vegas is right/wrong is around 2 wins either direction.  Still pretty damn good for 32 teams in my book.

So 15 over and 15 under, assuming they were roughly equal amounts on each team O/U Vegas made a killing. They dont care that they were "wrong" by 2+ games on any given team all they care about is there is equal money on both sides.

Vegas does not care who wins and losses (unless there is unequal money on one side which happens since it is almost impossible to get the exact equal money on both sides) They just put out numbers where they think equal money will be on both sides not what they think will happen.

vegas doesnt guess, its based on facts and metrics, they have been pretty spot on in regards to us for the past 3ish years.   So I keep telling all the guys that think we are winning the south put your money where your mouth is, its right there, 7 wins

Vegas doesnt use facts and the only metric they use is money. their goal is to have equal number of people on the over and the under so they can collect the vig. They set a line not based on facts or what they think will happen but on what they think other people will think will happen. So at 7.5 Vegas thinks there will be an equal number of people who think the Panthers will win 8 or more games as they do people who think they will win 7 or fewers games.

  9. One of the reasons Brady had more success in the playoffs is he cared more about winning then money unlike Rodgers. Brady took team friendly deals to help build the rest of the team where as Rodgers just wanted as much money as he could get then would complain about how poor the rest of the team was.

I agree on keeping a third QB. Just not Corral. Let’s see what Luton has

personally i'd rather see what Corral (who essentially had a redshirt year in a terrible environment but now has a good mentor in Dalton and good QB coaches) can do rather than a qb who is on his 6th team in 4 years and in his 3 career starts comitted 8 turnovers (granted it was his rookie year). Luton hasnt exactly lit it up in preseason either. last year he was 22/38 (58%) for 186 (4.9 YPA/8.6 YPC) 0 TD and 1 INT

The hatred on this forum for Corral is amazing.  Young goes 4-6 66.7% for 21 yds and the blame goes to the offensive line. Rightfully So. Corral doesn't light up the world and he sucks. (15-22 126yd 68.2% 0TD 1 Int) This mainly comes from the same group of people that said he sucked after Fhules Debacle on the QB position last year.  God knows you all to be wrong.

Others believe he had a decent week considering the play of the offensive line and him not playing for nearly a year.   It behooves us that he improves.  One, Dalton isn't going to be around forever, two a good young backup helps us if we happen to lose Young. Three, the backups available at this moment are far worse than a young Corral. Four, which could happen especially for a young team. Corral is traded for picks.  I am sure there are more reasons to hope he improves.

Carolina Panthers News: Matt Corral, Frank Reich, Bryce Young and Amare Barno (catcrave.com)

Yeah I know, it was against scrubs that won't make the NFL roster.  This is Corral's fault?

I am pulling for Young to be our savior.  I think he really is going to be very good once the regular season starts.  The weekly fear will be, is this the week he gets cremated by a 350 DT and survives?

Agreed there is no reason to get ride of Corral especially with the new rules where you can keep a 3rd qb on the inactive roster so he doesnt take up a roster spot

  12. As mentioned before college already does it, they stil have the option to return it if they want. Also when was the last time you have seen a kickoff to the 18 and the returned not be able to pick up a few yards (without a fumble) so it not really that big of an advantage in my opinion. Now if they change the rules for punts that is completely different rule.

To be fair, I've never been to KC (it was COVID the year we were supposed to go). I've been to Seattle 6-7 times. The playoff game there was insanely loud. I've been to the Super Dome 8-10 times and each time I'm like "fug, this place is scary"

I happened to get tickets to the AFC Championship game in KC this past year and the place is deafening. Probably wouldnt be that loud for a Chiefs Panthers game given its not rivalry but it was insane how loud it was

I need some proof of this sir. Show me the receipts!

How loud is it at Arrowhead Stadium?

In 2014, Arrowhead Stadium set a Guinness World Record for its stadium noise against the New England Patriots. The fans were so loud that they registered the sound at 142.2 decibels. That’s louder than a jet plane taking off.

Just another sign for me to book my flight to Seattle later this year. I want to see that crowd live in person. I know it's the best crowd in the NFL.

Its close but I'd take Kansas City over Seattle. KC took the record for loudest stadium from Seattle

  16. Since when is Tepper responsible for the day to day construction of the football team. He seems like he wants to win. He has repeatedly said he wants a franchise QB (and before someone says it yes Cam WAS a franchise QB but when Tepper got here he was NOT a franchise QB. Injuries had taken a toll on him, if he was still a franchise QB he would be starting in NE or starting for SEA or WAS or HOU or some other team).

He said he wasnt confident in Bridgewater and so he is gone. He is creating state of the art facilities. He pushed for Stafford and Watson. Stafford didnt want to come here and Watson has all the legal issues. Elite QBs dont grow on trees and are not easily available except through the draft. When those two didnt work out and it was clear Bridgewater wasnt the answer, what did you want them to do? Roll with PJ or Grier? Draft Fields and let him hold the ball forever behind this OL? Draft Jones? Or throw a hail mary and give Darnold a shot?

In the last 2 years who do you want them to get? Outside of Stafford, they arguably went after the biggest name they could in each of the last 2 years (yes Brady and Rivers were available but no neither wanted to come here). And do you want him to start meddling in the football operations like Jerry Jones.

I guarantee Tepper is not happy with how things are going. You can tell by the look on his face when the show him during games, but what other moves at QB would you have made if you were him
