It's been 4 plus years and the guy has shown very limited anything in the passing game. We drafted Tommy bc im sure they would like to see someone bc a complete tight end. If Ian surprisingly ( yes surprisingly) does well, it's a win win.
-
Yeah, it seems he was sneaking out and was used mostly as a run blocker. They schemed that up and took advantage of that. Tight end is always a tricky position to see if it will stick because often tight ends in college that turn good in pros, have limited reps catching in college.
-
Yep, it's just interesting to see if anything pops. Myles Hartfield came out of nowhere and a few other udfa have. I'd be intersed to see if these guys are someone that Scott and Dan liked more.
-
Yeah I know it is definitely tough (as udfa) but like I just posted, the dynamics of Corrall more than likely starting off with reps with him... bodes well for him to get some looks early in otas and etc. Like you, I hope he gets a true shot.
-
No doubt the skill and talent is there. He will more than likely get to get reps with Corrall in otas and etc, so I think he may get some looks. No problem bro!!!

I want to start by saying I still got hope in Tommy Tremble and not much hype on Ian at all. With that being said, looking into undrafted free agent Josh Babicz has me very curious of his potential. His background shows that he started out as a pass weapon in high school but he got bigger and stronger in college. Standing at 6'6 255 and with true break away football speed, the potential is there. Mcadoo is known for wanting to use tight ends and this dude and Tremble have extreme upside to me. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/north-dakota-state-tight-end-josh-babicz-bringing-bison-pride-to-the-2022-nfl-draft/

Rod Boone has dropped two names in the coaching search

I was hoping Ham if we couldnt land Jackson or Mike Brown. -
I'd like Marc but Darvin Ham and Mike Brown are on my list too.

Very detailed read....

Ben made that interesting remark way back about loving the Qbs with RPO and then says Matt is the highest rated in tgus draft. With all 3 qbs currently starting a new playback and Matt being the future... there is no reason for them to not cater to what Matt does well. Nobody has a leg up because they all starting from scratch. Rhule may have no choice but play Matt.
-
I can definitely still see a vet being added. I would think they would like to get a look at Matt and Jimmy can't throw til late June. If they think Matt got a chance to compete with Sam, I think they hold off. If it looks like Matt will definitely need a year and Sam looks horrible still, it is definitely us getting a vet Qb.
-
I really hope we don't make him a top 5 paid end bc I feel the same. He is not bad but he hasn't been elite.
-
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the pump fake and his ability to not telegraph where he is going is refreshing. He has some things to work on but the skill is there.
-
That dude don't run like he 34 and banged up...
-
Well we are definitely looking good on paper in this category....
-
Looking at these extreme athletes in the late rounds of the draft and some free agent additions such as Hekker, Westry etc.... we will field a possible elite special teams unit. Coverage should net us a ton of good field positions, which in turn helps us not have to work so hard to score. I dont think we have fielded this much speed and athleticism on special teams since Rod "He Hate Me" Smart and crew.
-
I think Westry makes it too. Has some starting experience and plays special teams. Add in dude is 6'4 and runs 4.3 range too. Will be an intersection battle for 6 or 7 dbs. Hartfield got some heat.
-
I was just about to post that. It has been so long since I have seen a QB pump fake to draw a db with misconception. I had my questions on his mental but the tools are there. I'll root for him.
-
I could be wrong but Littleton played that position pretty good when he was with the Rams. That's what led him to getting paid. Problem was the rams made him more a 3-4 MLB.
-
Thinking a reason we haven't moved in, is because teams know what we trying to trade in for a QB. Add in the fact that these teams watched the Jets fleece us and no telling what they are asking in return. Itd been different if we had a 3rd round pick vs a late 4th. The further in round 3 we get, the better the odds.... or just top of round 4
-
Welp, long night for Qbs. I guess Carolina can relax a lil and Cleveland is probably blowing up Carolina line. Lol
-
Yeah 2 picks and if they don't... that tells you how the rest of the night will go for Qbs.
-
If he gets past sea.... Im not sure a qb goes in round 2
-
Unless there is an extreme QB run....Part of me thinks we get Baker and Howell.
