  1. When the opposing team’s offensive line realizes the refs aren’t calling holding get ready for a long day.
  2. Well at least this post made me remember that CJ Anderson was a Panther at one point.
  3. Perryman and Arnold were both stop gap acquisitions. Carter Jr. beat him out in camp mainly due to the fact that Perryman couldn't even make it onto the field. While Carter's stats may not look impressive, he is one of many reasons Shaq is playing at the level he is. Carter may not be the most athletic linebacker but he is a very smart player and is rarely out of position. Shaq's poor play last year had a lot to do with Whitehead being constantly out of position and it hurt the entire defense. Now he doesn't have to worry about Whitehead fuging up and can just focus on his own assignments. Arnold is just a Jag and was brought in to cover the TE position for a year or two for what ever mid round TE we drafted to develop. Tremble has obviously impressed everyone and seems to be way ahead of where most thought he would be at this point when he was drafted. Hell, It didn't even seem like we had a TE on the roster last year and the offense still managed to put up impressive numbers. All of the moves we've made so far make perfect sense besides our FA offensive line signings. Erving wasn't the worst thing in the world but Elflein is still a complete head scratcher.
  4. Is there still a chance something happens and the trade doesn’t go through, or is it already a done deal? I don’t want to get hyped up only to be super disappointed.
  5. We currently have the second most cap space available. I know we probably want to carry it over to next season but we could off a 2 year deal and front load the hell out of it so it has little effect on next years cap space.
  6. Hope they get their poo pushed in tonight so we can finish off their season before it even starts.
  7. I think it has more to do with Darnold being more willing to push the ball down field. Robby played in the slot way more last year compared to this season. The amount of times DJ was wide ass open 15-20 yards down field last season only to have Teddy throw a 5 yard slant to Robby was fuging infuriating.
  8. There is a reason DJ Moore is having the best start a Panther receiver has had since Steve Smith. This doesn't happen with Teddy still at QB.
  9. Lol how are you not doubling Adams on that drive
  10. Winston did that same bs throw against us and they ruled it incomplete lol
  11. Glad to see they’re looking at bringing in a reliable pass catcher out of the backfield. Duke Johnson will be able to fill in like Fozzy Whittaker all those years. Crazy to think it takes 3 guys to fill in for everything CMC is able to do by himself.
  12. Statistically they are currently better.
  13. I personally feel the defensive line has been so good it’s hard to accurately judge him so far. Regardless, he has been a welcome addition to the defensive
  14. The Saints offensive line is very good and Winston had just thrown for 5 TDs. Coaches don’t block, run, and throw the ball. That game was this defense’s most impressive so far. Complete domination on all levels.
  15. Surprisingly Dallas’s offensive line has been pretty shaky this year. Pass protection hasn’t been great and their running game has been underwhelming. I fully expect this defensive line to continue feasting.
  16. There aren’t many vet corners available. Richard Sherman is old and only played 5 games last year. We could sign Rasul Douglas off the Cardinals practice squad since he is familiar with the defense but he fell off hard the second half of the season. Gareon Conely could be an option if he’s finally healthy. Played some decent football (although underwhelming for where he was drafted) until he started getting plagued by injuries. We signed a bunch of injury prone guys this offseason and he’s only 26 so you never know. Corn Elder is on the practice squad and can play the slot. Other than that there isn’t really much out there.
  17. Yeah also knowing the NFLPA is trying to make a point I’m sure who ever is doing the research and coming up with the number is obviously doing it in the favor of the NFLPA. Still, even if it’s only a small percentage increase, it can still be completely avoided by just having everyone use the same grass field.
  18. I went back to check and the research that the NFLPA presented to the NFL in 2020 stated that it was actually 88% for ACLs and 32% for ankle/foot injuries.
  19. The defensive line has now dominated against two really good pass blocking offensive lines. That will make any DBs job easier.
  20. Soccer play don’t make nearly they type of cuts and moves an NFL player does. According to data on football players, the likelihood for knee injuries is 69% higher on turf.
  21. Not a knock on Horn but we have yet to see him have to play when a QB has all day to throw. Our pass rush has been so good it’s making the secondaries lives very easy. Loom back at who our corners where in 2013 when Johnson and Hardy were wreaking havoc on QBs. We went 12-4 that year.
  22. Exactly. I’m not worried about him as a runner. He has to be able to catch those critical passes.
  23. That articles data was from soccer. The one I pulled my numbers from was football. I don’t think the NFLPA would try to get turf banned if it was a real issue.
  24. For a League that preaches about player safety it would be one of the easiest things they could do to protect players. The numbers are pretty staggering. A player is basically 33% more likely to get injured on turf compared to grass. That fuging insane. And yet our owner who is all about modern analytics and sports science just ripped up our beautiful grass field for that poo. Shows where his interests really are… $$$$$.
