It is not trying to explain away. Bryce only played well when the game was out of reach. As soon as there was a chance the Cards could lose the game they put their foot back on the gas and smothered Bryce and that was with multiple defenders out because of injury. Just go compare his stats from the first half and our last drive of the game vs the first 28min of the second half.

how is negative two yards with 8 targets even possible
Eazy-E replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m going to withhold judgment on the entire offense until I see another QB under center. -
What is he supposed to do when his QB literally can’t play the position against an NFL defense that isn’t playing prevent every down.
-
I’m so glad we recovered that onside kick and Bryce didn’t get the chance to hide behind his garbage time stats against a Cardinals defense that packed it in at halftime. That was a defining moment for Bryce and as soon as the Cards had to actually play defense again he folded like a lawn chair.

It’s not even the pressure. He literally doesn’t have the ability to play QB against an NFL defense when they are actually trying.

So now that the Cards defense actually has to play again for the first time this half we can actually see what Bryce can do. -
Right now he’s a little more advanced Anthony Richardson.

Seemed like the running plays he dialed up last season worked well. Hubbard balled out. Our offensive issues strictly stem from the passing game. Sorry but it is really hard to evaluate Canales and his play calling when the QB running the offense makes terrible decisions and has a career passing average of 175 yards per game.

So many people were and still are trashing and blaming XL for that interception and it blows my mind. It was second and fuging 2 and he thought it was a good idea to make that throw when he could have literally walked and picked up the first down. His situational awareness is non existent.

He clearly should have never been drafted in the first place on his measurables alone. Him Turing into a top NFL Qb would have been a statistical anomaly. Call me crazy but I legitimately think he would have lost out in a fair camp competition to a guy like Zach Wilson.
-
Agreed, and that’s why it’s so frustrating. All the team has to do is say we are committed to winning and we gave the job to the guy who gives us the best chance to win. If it’s not Bryce trade or cut him and move on. I feel like what the team is doing currently has to be even more frustrating to the players and fans.
-
Or you know make the struggling player actually earn the starting role and C on his chest in camp like everyone else.
-
Look at it as an investment in Bryce if you want. Competition breeds excellence. Let the best man win idc when you were drafted. If Bryce doesn’t step up cut ties and move on. Instead we got to see Bryce poo the bed in the opener for the 3rd year in a row.

It is if you have a decent starting QB on your roster. Most late round picks end up gone in a year or two anyway. Sometimes you may get lucky. That can’t happen if you don’t even try. We spent a second rounder on an Injured running back who’s played like 3 snaps for us and then gave the current starter a massive extension, signed another in FA, then spent a 4th rounder on another one. This front office clearly has no problem with “waste”

I don’t understand why we are in year 3 of Bryce and this team has done nothing to push him or have any sort of competition. Absolutely no backup plan just all in on a QB who had one of the worst rookie seasons I’ve ever seen. Not taking a flyer on a mid to late round QB after his rookie season is baffling to me. Bringing back Andy Dalton after showing he is completely washed instead of an actual competent back up is crazy. Also how the fug did Jack Plummer stick around for so long. Dan Morgan talks about bringing in DAWGS so why does this not apply to the most important position on the team? This would all make sense if Bryce came out his rookie year looking like Stroud or Daniels but not after your statistically one of the worst QBs in the league.

Would have been nice to take a flyer on a late round QB or two the past few years. I don’t think it is fair to evaluate anything too deeply with how bad Bryce has been. Keeping Dalton around to be Bryce’s cheerleader was also dumb when we know he’s completely washed. Don’t even get me started on fuging Jack Plummer. Throw Hendon Hooker out there and see what happens. I don’t think it can get any worse. If poo still stinks at the end of the year, clean house and bring in a GM and Coach and let them get the QB they want. We can’t afford to keep going on with overlapping coaches and Front office personnel.

Wouldn’t mind kicking the tires on Julian Blackmon to fill our FS void. He’s the right age to fit our other signings and he’s had 7 picks over the last 2 seasons.
-
Good lord, Tom Brady sucks and the commercials some how are even worse.
-
And just like that the new owners and front office can fug right off. Can’t wait to draft some more incredibly raw French guys who look live they’ve never dribbled a basketball before. Wtf is this team doing?

Would You Trade Draft Capital for a #1 WR???
Eazy-E replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hell yes. A WR who’s put up 3 straight 1k yard seasons on a dysfunctional Jets team, or a corner who’s never played a full season. I would also trade pick 8 for him straight up. Graham and Carter will be gone by 8 so no other defensive player would be worth it over getting Wilson. -
He’s better than all of the top WRs in this draft. Would be dumb to not at least inquire about him.
-
This poo is hilarious to me. How about we worry about the fact that we don’t have an actual center on this roster which happens to be one of the most important positions on the line. Imagine plugging Ryan Kalil into this offensive line. It would instantly be one of the best in the NFL. To answer the question yes you pick up Ickey’s option and immediately start trying to extend him before the price skyrockets. Don’t want to run into another Brian Burns situation. (Thanks Fitterer you dumb fug)
