  1. Do we think Mayfield sits the entire game? Darnold then starts and leaves after a quarter or two?
  2. Did I hear him correctly, Rhule said he's running the 2's and 3's in Preseason game 2 -- aren't most teams running their 1's and 2's then, and using the 3rd game to sit starters? Rhule zagging again, while the pro coaches zig?
  3. Hubbard deserves a spot on name alone.
  4. I think Mayfield and Darnold have had some of the worst QB situations to start their careers (in recent years). That kind of probably makes for easy bonding. And prior to the OBJ drama, Mayfield was known for being a fun teammate, and Darnold is clearly chill. Corral and PJ seem like easy going dudes as well. Considering how Rhule is handling the QBs, this could have gone so much worse...
  5. So, to clarify, according to your sources, Darnold is leading the competition? And it's based on turnovers? I might be wrong, but Darnold has thrown more INTs in camp than Mayfield, last count at the end of TC.
  6. Glad to have helped! Enjoy your improved fandom, it should help win the Superbowl, for sure.
  7. Let me clear up some things for you all. Mayfield was ranked #8 by PFF in the second half of 2020 through his injury in game 2 of season 2021. He had six different injuries in 2021. We don’t know what kind of quarterback he’ll be now, but he has played up to top-10 level and he also has thrown a lot of interceptions. He also is on his fifth headcoach and coordinator. Maybe he’ll be a top-10 talent or maybe he’ll be top-20. Allen and Mahomes had stable situations and were allowed to develop. Mayfield achieved within historic dysfunction,. The Cleveland Browns were nowhere near the best or most stacked roster - in anytime time that Mayfield played for them. In 2021, they had bottom tier WR room, a ravaged o-line and a defense that lost historic leads in 2021 until it gelled in the second half of the season, well after the week 6 fracturing of Mayfield’s shoulder by Watt Their elite backfield was injured all 2021. Stefanski is an unproven coach who cannot even take credit for the Browns lone playoff win, as he was in Covid quarantine. His game management was highly criticized by the fanbase and pundits. In 2021, the Browns planned to run with Mayfield if (and when Watson turned the Browns down). Only after Mayfield asked for a trade signaling he’d not play in CLE again did the Browns look to move on. In trades, the Browns were looking for 1st round picks and taking on zero of his 18m guaranteed contract. The Seahawks, Panthers, Colts all were in talks to trade, but the price was too high for a one-year rental, coming off injury. Can we now stop repeating the same tired mistruths about Mayfield. He’s gonna be your QB1 this year, so get on board, or go root for the Falcons or something.
  8. It's working well on my Amazon Fire tv, but the NFL xbox app isn't working, so mileage may vary based on platform you're using. Damned quote interface on the Huddle....

  10. If CLE's defense didn't have a historic (literally historic) collapse against Herbert and the Chargers, Mayfield would have had at least 1 last season. There were a few others that I'm not sure are fair to square on Mayfield entirely. He was hurt and played poorly as the season went on, but CLE was erratic all over the place last season - not just their former QB.
  11. I came here suspecting Mayfield could elevate this team -- and I thought that some of the Rhule distaste was overblown... But, if training camp is any indication, I'm growing increasingly worried. Splitting reps on a new QB who arrived two months later than he should have, is legitimately undermining the team's, player's, and position's success. Darnold got more reps in scrimmage yesterday, for fugs sake.
  12. Keeping it classy as always, Cleveland. Anyway... D'Ernest Johnson, the 3rd stringer is also a great runner, so expect a strong Cleveland running attack regardless. Though I think Hunt plays. CLEs interior o-line on run plays is great, so they elevate anyone back there.
  13. You can't make this poo up: https://www.clevescene.com/news/cleveland-new-home-of-deshuan-watson-is-hosting-the-national-massage-therapists-convention-this-month-39442444
  14. From my understanding, Watson can sue and try to get an injunction, which would let him play. However, Goodell still can put Watson on the commissioners exempt list and he would not be able to touch a field. That's my understanding, but it's all pretty murky.
  15. I might be mistaken, but I believe Goodell could move Watson onto the Commissioners Exempt List in the event that the NFLPA and/or he sues -- in which case Watson can still be kept off the field.
  16. Mayfield will be weakest in the 2min drill, based on precedent, and while learning the playbook especially. It'll be interesting to see if these mistakes lesson as the weeks pass.
  17. Uh, no. That was the Freddie Kitchens year and the entire team, from coach on down, kept them from being competitive.
  18. It looked like he tossed it to a kid - so maybe a coaches kid or something?
