  1. Not a big gamer, as I might've spent a decent amount of my time gaming, but pretty much only on sports and basic racing type games (and Runescape) up until about 3 years ago. With that said, having put a lifetime into Skyrim whilst still only having completed the first like 45 minute's worth of the main quest, I find it hard to believe that any other franchise is better. Hell, I've never even played a minute of Oblivion, Morrowwind, etc, but as far as gaming goes? These people created an entire world full or myth, lore, culture, geography, story, creatures, etc. I can't think of anything better. I just hope and pray that within a few years there is an Elder Scrolls game in which you can roam freely throughout the ENTIRE world of Tamriel.
  2. Just got teary eyed from a comic strip. Awesome.
  3. I find Europe boring, but maybe that's just me. I'm gonna join you in Indonesia though. Just gonna parachute outta the sky and be like "Sup PhillyB?"
  4. I'm gonna be in Sydney. I already plan on doing the eastern coast of Australia, heading down to NZ, and hopefully getting all around SE Asian. I have a good friend that will be studying in China at the same time, so when the semester ends, I might fly up there are then we can work our way down together. And that's awesome. I wish I could do something like that, and maybe some day I will. I'll be coming out of school with a degree in both geography (focus in human/cultural geography) and international relations (focus in national/international defense and security), so I sincerely hope I can find some sort of job that pushes me to travel as much as possible. I've also though about joining the peace corps or working for a non-profit or NGO right out of school for a couple of years before potentially going back for grad school or finding a governmental job. I dunno though, I guess I have time. Why England this summer? Compared to almost anywhere else in the world, wouldn't you consider that quite unexciting?
  5. Nope. Had planned on going to Antigua, but found our way out to some little beach town on the Pacific coast instead. My life goal is to essentially be you, just ideally with a job that incorporates the traveling instead. Any tips from the man himself as to how to travel more as a college student, or maybe for a few years after school is done and before looking for a legitimate job that tethers me somewhere? I'm studying abroad in Australia next semester and plan on seeing as much of SE Asia as I can after school is done. Anywhere around there that is a must see?
  6. A little village called Los Chilitos outside of a town called Cuilapa. About an hour and a half west of Guatemala City I believe?
  7. Put together a photo album of more pictures if anyone's interested. Worth a look just for the cute kids and the killer scenery. http://imgur.com/a/sPX81
  8. Dammit. Don't let this change your ideas, my man. I like to claim African American anyways, my father is from Zimbabwe.
  9. Ahh, didn't see this. Will do tomorrow. Is there a place I can mass upload pictures easier? Between the three of us, we took quite a few.
  10. Decided to head to rural Guatemala with two friends for Spring Break in order to build a school, without any of us three knowing a lick of Spanish. Fortunately, there's a guy working with us that knows enough English to help us get by. Here's some pictures of my new favorite kids and the reason I think I'd prefer having girls rather than boys whenever that time comes along. There are some super cute boys here too, but the girls just burst through the roof with their cuteness. It feels so weird to like kids all of the sudden after being annoyed with them forever. Maybe it's just because I have no idea what they're talking about. Anyways, pictures. The last one, Miley, kept throwing my hat on the ground when I tried to tell her she could keep it. Clearly she doesn't dig weird "gringo" fashion.
  11. http://zippy.gfycat.com/ImprobableUnsteadyCottontail.webm Technically a video I guess, but looool.
  12. Duke's not that far away from Chapel Hill. I'm sure it'll freeze over too.
  13. Damn. Nothing here in Chapel Hill. If I still have my midterm tomorrow, I'ma be mad.
  14. Woah just read about the icing. Damn that's huge. Maybe they'll cancel classes and subsequently my exam on Wednesday
  15. Been snowing all day in Chapel Hill, but the kind that instantly liquidizes the second it touches something.
  16. Everywhere has cancellations and delays tomorrow except for us. At least there's a great hospital on campus for all of the shitty drivers though. My prof told us that one of his students a few years back died whilst driving to class in the snow. I'm surprised they don't take any precautions. These are college students driving on ice and snow, most of them probably for the first time.
  17. I meant during this storm, sorry for the lack of clarity
  18. Yeah, I was telling people today that I seriously doubt it snows more than 6 inches anywhere in NC. I'm banking on having classes cancelled Wednesday up here, since it'll be in the 20's all day Wednesday, so snow and ice wont melt in time for classes. Can't have that hazard anymore, some student died a couple years back whilst driving to class on an icy road.
  19. Holy hell, as if it's gonna snow 2 feet in eastern NC. I've lived in the east my entire life up until 2012, and the most we've ever gotten since the early 90's is, what, 4 inches maybe? I know there was 15 inches back in the late 80's, but 24 inches? Come on now...
