He has a rep for being an underachiever. And his being dumped by th last two teams who had him doesn't look good.
It's possible he gets another shot, but I'm fine if he doesn't (here, anyway).
I see, thanks.
Hey as long as we can get rid of old man Harper for the S, they then can sign James then lol
I'm fairly indifferent when it comes to Harper these days.

Wr group would virtually almost be the 30 and over club.
Eh, I can kind of see your point, but it is fairly moot. Ted Ginn just turned 30, but he has been running boys all up and down the field.
Jones is only 31, it's not as if we are trying to sign Jerry Rice off the street here.

I am too, but I also don't think James Jones is very good.
I haven't seen a ton of film on him, though I'm generally familiar with him. Can you elaborate a bit?
I just find it odd that a guy who has managed at least 600 yards/3 TD's the last 5 consecutive seasons isn't at least worth a look.

I have my reasons. Imo, he is like Cotchery redux. He has put up solid numbers throughout his career, but the best of them were when he was surrounded by talent in a pass-heavy system. He won't be that guy here. Remember everyone creaming their pants over Cotchery because of the numbers he put up in Pittsburgh? Same deal...
I haven't exactly been enamored with Cotchery due to last year, but I'm open to exploring all options.
-
People will be clamoring for him here, but I didn't think he could catch when we wanted him after he was released from GB, and now he's flopped off of 2 more teams in 1 season. I don't want to touch him, and that's a lot for me to say because I want to touch everyone
Our options aren't exactly stellar, unless we manage a trade.
You're welcome to touch me, I taste like strawberries.

No to James Jones. fug him.
All the squawking you've been doing about WR help, lol I got a legit laugh at this post.

Cam Newton was pretty damn good with those multiple TE sets his rookie year.
I'm fine with more of those.
-
Didn't expect Bersin to be cut considering our options.
Well, at least the mouth breathers who never liked him can finally stop screaming about why Bersin is still here in every other thread.

He's also gotten names like Edmund Kugbila, Kenjon Barner, amd Tyler Gaffney. If youre willing to part with this season on the off chance we find another AJ Klein, then that's your call but I'd wager most here are not, nor should the employees in that office.
the team's inability to prepare for injuries dealt them this hand. We failed to act when the opportunities were there. We made our bed and now we will either have to do something or lie in it.
Kugbila was definitely a big swing, and a miss. But he was a fourth rounder. I think Gettleman learned his lesson there.
As for Barner, and Gaffney. If two of the three acquisition mistakes from Gettleman that you can come up with are sixth round draft picks, well, it could be much worse. See Marty Hurney trading away first rounders like they were candy.

There have been plenty of people on this very message board suggesting Cotchery should not have a roster spot. Jeremy is not wrong about that. Maybe it's a vocal minority, but they're out there.
That stems just about entirely from his performance last season. It's not the fans fault that he too often disappeared in games.
He's going to get plenty of opportunities this season with KB out. We need him to bounce back.
-
I don't think it's a matter of people not wanting Cotchery. Most fans here, myself included, were pretty happy when we signed him.
For us to go far this year, he has to step up as a veteran leader on the field, not just in name. It's as simple as that.

I heard Cam Newton got caught sucking Tom Brady's dick. Can anyone confirm?
This is your Friday night huh? How adventurous.

Ron having none of that poo.

Man. Anderson just seems better than Cam
So edgy.

Well Shaq Thompson looks damn good.

I like Artis-Payne. Decent block for his QB on that touchdown play as well.

Big Mike making some plays.

Seventy posts in and nobody's posted Derek Anderson's "I take this s--t seriously" pic?
Don't really see it anymore because truthfully it's been beaten down to pretty much nothing at this point.

I had to check to see if that tweet was real. Ridiculous.
They just won the damn Super Bowl (not without another cheating controversy). How bitter, and arrogant can that franchise be?

KB or no KB, our red zone percentage is horrific. Particularly for a team that puts an emphasis on running the ball. It's been that way under Shula all along pretty much. I'm tired of that poo.

It will be interesting to see what we run in the red zone. We already struggled there last year some even with KB.
With 6'5 Olsen, 6'5 Lucas, and 6'4 Dickson at the TE position alone, if our OL continues to do their jobs, that's not too shabby.
