  1. Hey now, we know they’re not going far at the end of the day and now there’s a strong possibility they’re out of the Caleb sweeps. Happy Baker can help. LVR and AZ still look like prime QB destinations and bad teams. Luckily both in the AFC
  2. Mims is going to be a stud and was in college. Huge fan. Hate that he wound up with Payton and Wilson though. Just a big fan of his all around. Tank Dell seemed to also pick up where he left off in college. Downs is also getting notable grabs and looks in Indy. It would be nice to have found a guy that can produce rather immediately. Seems like WR is the position where that can happen more than others. Would love to see a nice game from Mingo on Monday.
  3. Nacua has 16 receptions in his first 6 NFL quarters. That's pretty wild for a 5th rounder.
  4. They didn't have any early ones but man have they found some gems in the huge lot they drafted. Young, Nacua, that was a 13 player deep 2023 class.
  5. Byron Young is like a vet out there for the Rams already. He's having a really impressive rookie campaign so far.
  6. So basically we’ve had zero come from behind wins since Cam/Luke’s last good year. When you cycle through Kyle Allen, Taylor, Teddy, PJ, Darnold and Baker, that will definitely be the result. Hopefully they start to change that.
  7. I’d continue to look in the draft for a true playmaker. I said elsewhere but a good part of Penix’s rise/hype in WAS has been due to Rome Odunze. Big fan of Rome, he’s an awesome talent. He’s like a faster Michael Pittman Jr. Vertical threat, hands catcher, tough, makes big plays. Is not complimentary, really the core of that Huskies offense. Troy Franklin in Oregon has been the other on my Saturday radar. Game breaker, explosive talent. He’s kind of in the Aiyuk-esque realm and Aiyuk is definitely one of my fave receivers in todays NFL. And to that point—If we could somehow land Aiyuk, I’d be thrilled, but I doubt SF moves on. He may grow into their true #1 this year. He was a difference maker down the stretch last year. There’s been a lot of talented WRs coming out late R1 and beyond..and we just can’t seem to pick the right ones. Would love to change that—would be nice to at least hit with Mingo and get in position to add a rookie burner with a younger more reliable FA.
  8. Let’s get a second game under our belts before reacting to quickly to anything at this point.
  9. Thank you for someone playing the tongue and cheek game and not being the incessant corrective Boy Scout.
  10. I would just assume he's out most weeks unless we hear he's back.
  11. It’s a word I deem appropriate when there’s this much time missed. His fault or not, he’s in the 3rd year of his 4 year rookie contract. Does not look promising we’ll pick up his option. Sucks for the guy, but it’s the reality.
  12. PS2, Slater, Devonta, Parsons, Darrisaw…it’s crazy how many hits were around what seems like a dud when we had every defensive player in the entire draft at our disposal to pick from. SMH
  13. Good stuff. Plenty for the squad to improve on, hopefully we can surprise on national tv and make some passing game corrections.
  14. That was his enigma in Philly as well. He’ll end up averaging 4.2+ per carry and have good stats to show, but in game, there’s never truly impact plays consistently.
  15. Right now I’m following the cat teams (did not happen intentionally, dog guy)—the Lions, Bengals, and Jags. Don’t mind watching the Chargers from time to time.
  16. With Thielen getting $8 and Miles $6 mil, I’d like to hope they prove worthy of their investments at the least for a year. Hope they can come in and contribute.
  17. I wonder—is it healthy or have we just been close too many times and are just less emotional these days? Probs a combination. Less reactive, just more meh, we’ll there’s another loss. I would definitely be stoked if we were to become a new powerhouse contender but don’t think the personal investment would be there like it was when we were younger. That 03-08 stretch had some real impressionable football memories for many of us in that bracket (older millennial). Not trying to pit age groups or anything, more an observation
  18. Peak fandom for me was 2008. Thought that was our best team and it sobered my perspective on being an extrovert diehard. I had grown from a clueless kid fan for Dom/Seifert into a full fledge diehard with the early Fox era teams in HS. Furthest back memory outside of vague images as a kid was tracking that Seifert team’s final week score-a-thon for the playoffs we missed. Fast forward though..experiencing the Arizona debacle live when we and the entire sports world thought the team would roll through the NFC ruined me. Was just never the same. That nutshot was hard to recover from. That was one of the last years that I went to basically every home game before wrapping undergrad and moving across country. Feels like light years ago. I was excited as hell through Cam’s era but there was just a gut feeling after 2015 that something was just never going to be right place/right time for him with Ron. Cowboys Turkey and Patriots Monday night nearly resurrected me but it just never got back to peak double trouble & smitty for me. These days—just accepting of what we are until we can become something better and consistent. We’ve almost had something twice in our existence but haven’t figured out how to recover in short order as a franchise.
  19. Yep. He could overperform next week on Monday night, and we can call it like it is as well, no problem. And a Monday night banger would be sweet. Just had some issues today that are correctable. The passing attack was generally, very underwhelming, regardless of receivers. Was not a fan of our playcalling by Frank or the play designs. I do see a Brees-esque ceiling with him but he was a bit all over today. No need to panic, some minor concerns, but plenty to work with here. He's a #1 overall pick for a reason and seems to have what a lot don't between the ears.
  20. I doubt there will be many left. It's year 3 and any more injuries are more than injuries at this point. If you can't stay on the field, it doesn't matter how good you are.
