  1. We got blown out twice that's how it happens.
  2. I added a question mark to your question. Also bolded it to look prettier.
  3. I don't understand the tone, I gave you my ranking, that's it. And yes, I still view Lawrence and Kyler are still ahead, in my opinion, which doesn't really mean much lol. What's this have to do with being a fan ffs? I will say, they are at the end of the list/the more arguable/debatable guys. So open to debate but it seems you're going straight to the "you're not a fan" debate. Which is super annoying. Maybe I'd agree Bryce could be ~19-20 on the list if the argument was laid out instead. His Atlanta game was better than anything they have done in recent memory, but he's had like 10 other games this season. He is way more inconsistent in my view, due to a few factors... Shotty footwork - he has a shallow lazy step back from gun that puts an OL in an impossible place. Goes on his toes wayyy to much for my liking. Poor upper body mechanics. His upper body remains parallel to the LOS and has to perform that rapid twitch/turn motion to get in stance His shallow drops also create a lack of sight lines so he can't layer throws well He's had poor pocket presence - not last week, but it's been a thing Pure traits standpoint Arm strength is mediocre Mobility is mediocre - can outrun at times but quicker IDLs can catch him Accuracy is a range due to his inconsistency - can be above average to very poor. His career so far has been pretty bad with intermediates (which again was not the case against ATL) Ball Security Way too sensitive to fumbling Has exhibited very poor decision making, especially in first halves that put the team behind This all does NOT take away that he had a GREAT performance against ATL. He was able to extend plays, found guys post-route in stride, the XL throw in Q3 was fantastic, a few of the Coker crossers were beauts. There's no disputing that. But yeah, in totality, it hasn't looked good but he absolutely cooked last week. Outside of that, he's only had 5 other 250 yard passing games in his entire career. He stalls on drives, makes annoying turnovers, doesn't see the right guys. It's okay to both say that and the fact that he balled tf out last week. I hope he continues so we get better and maybe can make some noise. Big test on Monday.
  4. The absolutely/no questions list: Stafford, Allen, Mahomes, Herbert, Burrow, Lamar, Caleb, Jayden, Goff, Love, Maye, Dak, Baker, Darnold, Purdy, Kyler, Lawrence, Jones, Rodgers That’s 19 off the top of my head no question about it. Doesn’t include the SB champ starter or Bo Nix who I argue should be but could see others debating. so he’s highest 22 in my book
  5. I think Gibbs is special, but you’re right, some of the top investments have proven to not be much different than some 2nds and 3rds. Taylor for example is on an MVP level season. James Cook is doing better than Breece Hall for example. Raiders weren’t in a good spot to draft Jeanty. Same with the Falcons/Bijan. You gotta swing at the right time — the investment shouldn’t come too early. You almost have to stumble into a guy mid to late rounds while building or find that guy to put you over the top when the team is finally well rounded.
  6. Precisely. It’s why some teams are fine with the committees and they work out great. Others feel like they’ve found “a guy” but that’s where I caution us to jump too quickly to a conclusion just because of a few games.
  7. We have an easy out after this season with marginal dead cap. Could be smart given the situation and RB landscape. This part isn’t at you—but in general: None of these guys are world beaters — sure they have been great for us at times but I just hope we don’t get this emotional investment paired with financials. I don’t think we need to teget all antsy about keeping Dowdle when he’ll be 28 next year. I don’t mind just continuously taking a stab in the late rounds every year on one. We should not be investing in one guy in particular when they’re not really a game breaker. See: Sanders, Hubbard, etc. I’d say heck yes, take a shot at a guy high up if you’re convinced you’ve landed a Gibbs or Taylor level, but otherwise, don’t invest, don’t get emotional about a 3-4 game stretch. Reset and see what type of committee you can construct with fresh legs.
  8. We have one of the better run OLs in the league and played susceptible run defenses. He took full advantage. While Chuba was coming off injury. Part of the reason I wasn’t getting excited about a soon to be 28 year old back. Just gotta take it a week at a time and see how the rest of the year unfolds. It’s the RB position so we really shouldn’t get hyped about it unless we’ve got a Gibbs or Taylor situation on our hands.
  9. At the end of the day, I doubt either are even here in 2 years. Hope they can crush it together the remainder of the season
  10. This has the potential to be a signature win to finally tell the league we aren’t playing around anymore. We’re no longer a doormat and have a WC shot. It also has the potential for another rollercoaster-ride awakening type performance turning back into poo. We tend to not operate in between these two sides this season lol.
  11. The Q3 XL touchdown and a few of his Coker throws were what I want to see, and can't even remember if we've seen anything like that from him before. I need to see that again. Time to prove this isn't a roller coaster.
  12. Oh look a win so let's talk about how we don't like eachother lol.
  13. It's a bought-in group of guys. It's just an absolute rollercoaster because our offense is anywhere from league bottom to what you saw today. I still can't quite get a sense of the build, but the players are giving us one hell of a story this season. Every week is a new book.
  14. Mendoza is the only QB remaining that I have few questions about. Simpson is solid - nothing that compelling that makes me think he’d be worth it. Sellers ceiling is nice, but his floor could be a never developing “project” type. That Cincy QB I heard about looked pretty bad. Maiava has been looking solid
  15. McMillan is 13th in the NFL in yards but 86th of 89 eligible WRs in catchable ball rate. Let that sink in
  16. No way in hell Drew Lock is worth two draft picks.
  17. Trey Lance got a shot. He couldn't work out in the most QB friendly system imaginable. He then had another club release him after trading a 4th. He's not good, he's not a Danny Jones/Darnold type situation. Same goes for Zach Wilson & Will Levis in my book. They don't cut it - it's not like a guy who's shown good ability but just never had the right situation. They were given shots and busted.
  18. Yeah I thought this was a Ty Simpson thread haha
  19. I've said it before but he's smart in knowing anticipation within a play's design, but he can't see the live-field to properly layer a throw. So many issues.. -Slow, shallow drops that restrict sight lines -Because of this, he can't see the field and gets swallowed up even when an OL holds up -So then he bails when he doesn't need to, and can't properly survey -And also can't put the touch on intermediates enough to produce YAC. Smitty would've gone ham on him if he was catching his balls. Probably gotten a few black eyes in practice already. McMillan was even looking visibly frustrated the past two games. The kid doesn't have it. It's over. It really is. We've given him so much time for how bad he's been. Far longer than Zach Wilson or Josh Rosen at this stage. and edit: Someone else mentioned it but Cam told us who he was that first drive first game. I think Bryce did as well, just the complete opposite of the spectrum. I cannot wait for a guy to just be able to push downfield again. We have weapons to do it with.
  20. I'm not a proponent of Mac or blind to Bama QB omen, but maybe the one who just won a Super Bowl?
  21. Their big point - It’s week 11 and your offense doesn’t have chemistry. You don’t have a passing game. Your QB is simply not working - 29th in catchable balls. Can’t layer an intermediate pass in stride. Fails the eye test, stats test, advanced stats test - all fail. There should be no more questions
