  1. He’s got a lot of 1-read tape and is 25. I wouldn’t be shocked but it would be a small surprise to see him be next off the board.
  2. That they’ll sit and watch another dude play unless injury pops up.
  3. I wasn’t sure if Bill wanted that drama of Bailey Zappe, Mac Jones and Will Levis all talking reps from each other.
  4. It was not his #1. It was his #2. McShay kept saying it was Kipers #1 though. I believe he had CJ Stroud as his #1.
  5. We should offer pick 93 for Chase Young. And if the Titans draft Levis we should trade MC for Malik Willis and let both lads get a fresh start.
  6. Going to the well of drafting a project QB in the middle rounds once again I see. I wonder if they will try to flip Malik. Maybe we can offer a 1:1 swap of Malik for Matt since he’s not happy here and both guys get a fresh start.
  7. Firstly, let’s say it absolutely sucks for the kid to be invited to this and then not get picked. That must feel absolutely dreadful once you see 3 QBs go in the first four picks and you’re projected next he probably thought he would be drafted in the 15ish area. That being said, he should go fairly quickly in round 2. And I know folks are thinking maybe Hooker jumps him but both of them suffer from pretty damning flaws. Both are older guys so from a physical and mental standpoint they should be further ahead of the other guys but they aren’t. The tape Levis chose to put on by playing hurt, hurt. It wasn’t good this year. Hooker was hurt so bad he couldn’t finish the season. So you go back to last season to find positive Levis tape and it’s good. But it’s not terrific. Now flip on Hookers tape and also know he’s like 25 already and watch their offense. Folks tried to clown CJ for throwing to wide open receivers and there’s plenty of tape of him throwing them open. Side bar: Right now folks are very high on Marvin Harrison but he’s the perfect candidate to drop come draft time. He’s an amazing pass catcher in college but take note most of his catches have minimal separation in college. A WR going to 5 needs to be able to run away from most guys too. His tape didn’t show it this year. Watch highlights of Hooker and it’s the Justin Fields tape. He locks onto the first guy and waits because at some point they will separate and more often than not they get the time it throw it. The difference is Justin was like 4 years younger going into his draft, had a much stronger arm, and right now he looks like a top 3 runner at QB in the entire league. Hooker doesn’t have those same traits. He was always going to be a round 2 or 3 guy in this class that had high end talent and then a massive gap to the lower guys. Levis should be the next one off the board because he does have the physical tools for the nfl. Hooker might be the next one after that.
  8. We’ve been terrible, period. Richardson owned this team for over 20 years and couldn’t get us back to back winning seasons? Drafted Hardy who went on to beat women. Drafted Caruth and I won’t even type the poo he did. Drafted Steve Smith who was a great player and one of the worst teammates of all time. You are upset over “poor pr” around a training facility that is a big nothing burger… let’s not forget Richardson was forced to sell this team for a reason. Tepper was handed a bad team and then swapped out a bad Ron for a terrible Rhule. He learned from that quick and assembled on paper what would be the best complete coaching staff we have ever had and I think now that we have a QB we have folks thinking playoffs right now. The franchise is in better position to be good going forward than we have ever been under the previous regime.
  9. This would be my pick. Or Ojulari. But I mean, you draft the lightest first round WB in the modern era and you damn well better get the best line together that you can.
  10. Teams in the draft who are turning their picks in right away look set on who they wanted. Teams that wait are typically looking to see if anyone will trade with them. Who knows why we waited on our pick? Maybe we were told not to due to TV time. They gain nothing by rushing their pick in other than showing Stroud he was their guy. If they waited somebody could have traded up. also, we never told the kids who we were picking so it was still a guessing game for the Texans. They could assume we would take X and maybe they went up there with a ticket for each QB but the truth is they likely just got the guy they wanted.
  11. I would expect them to not reply like most teams if they don’t want to answer. Again, they turned their pick in as soon as they could. You’re kidding yourself if you think they didn’t truly want Stroud. He was their guy.
  12. I’d love for us to trade up in the mid 20s for JSN from OSU and give Bryce a real WR
  13. QB who got hurt to end his college career, gets hurt again to start his nfl career and then doesn’t feel loved… more at 11
  14. Take note that Houston basically sprinted to the podium as soon as we announced our pick. Sounds like they had conviction in who they wanted and were comfortable sitting at 2.
  15. It’s always risky choosing a non conservative suite. I don’t think his looks bad. Bryce better be in our blue lol
  16. When you don’t know who is picking you, add a bunch of colors. One of them is bound to match.
