The Texans fired a HC after one season in back to back years and still landed one of the hottest coaching candidates in DeMeco Ryans. Yes, I know he has history with the franchise; reports last year were that Ben Johnson as an NC native grew up a Panthers fan, so you could see a similar pull. And at the end of the day, money talks. I actually think a first time coach stepping into this situation is in a great position - if you fail and get fired, everyone will give you the benefit of the doubt saying that no one can win here with Tepper as the owner, but if you succeed, you get all the glory.

Off the cuff here's my list, criteria being a young innovative offensive mind: 1. Ben Johnson 2. Frank Smith 3. Bobby Slowik If none of the 3 above are interested, I'd give Bienemy his first shot as a HC.

Don't blame him because I think this offense is beyond repair this season, and the losses would accumulate on his record anyway even though he has no hand in the offense. Wouldn't mind if he's kept around by the next HC but also you don't want to handcuff the next guy from being able to pick his own staff.

It's hard to untangle his success from Brady's, but he seems to be a pretty good OC and he's likely burned any and all likelihood of ever becoming a HC again, so I wouldn't think there's flight risk there. No real connectivity with Reich and co though so feel like he'd have to come in as an OC under a new staff with some connection to him.

From interviewing for HC gigs in January to being fired in November, quite the fall for Dorsey. Interested to see how Joe Brady does for the rest of the season.

During games I'm of the "someone needs to be fired ASAP" mindset. After a night's sleep, I realize it doesn't really make sense at this point in the season. Might as well just ride it out, I think everyone deep down knows they are done, but might as well do some "work" to collect those paychecks and blow out the entire operation after week 18. The only thing I can see happening is firing Fitt and Tepper engaging a consultant/former exec to help him identify potential GM candidates who could then start developing their own HC lists. But I think you'll see an entirely new front office and staff here next season.

I'm sympathetic to Bryce playing behind a bad OL and with subpar receivers, but he's also a guy that was thought so highly of that he was the #1 overall pick. Howell is a 5th rounder who's also essentially a rookie (he played in 1 game last season) and is averaging 7.0 YPA with 14 TDs to 9 INTs while playing behind an arguably worse OL. Bryce is averaging 5.5 YPA, 8 TDs, 7 INTs (with two more lost fumbles as well). You can argue all you want about supporting cast but I would hope that the guy who was taken 1 could put up comparable stats to the guy taken 144th.

Do you though? Honestly I think I would rather see if Ricky Lee or David Sharpe could be serviceable at LT because it's not like Icky has been (serviceable, that is).

Just tried testing out myself. Other iPhone users, do you get this issue? No matter which way I try to copy the link from the iOS app, I always get an X link which refuses to embed. The only solution I’ve found that works is opening the link in Chrome/Safari and then copying the actual URL (which is a Twitter.com URL) from the URL bar. If I try to copy link from the actual tweet itself even within the mobile browser, it gives me an X link. Pretty annoying.

You're thinking of the Texans game his rookie year, he broke his foot towards the end of that game just backpedaling I believe...also the same game where CMC pulled his hammy

Believe it was mentioned he had gotten surgery on it so it was more than likely a torn hamstring. I'm assuming he misses both the Colts and Bears game and then has an outside shot at playing in week 11 vs the Cowboys.
