So, wait and see what happens is just out of the question? Good glory this place is a steaming pile of doom and gloom. We’re one day, just one day into FA and people are acting as though we’re guaranteed to go 0-17 next season. I loathe Tepper, but let’s exercise some patience and let the offseason play out.

So.... do we win a game next year?
Jackofalltrades replied to PleaseCutStewart's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think we win more games than this year. I like what we're doing on offense and while I have my concerns about the defense we should remember that this is Day 1 of the tampering period. There's plenty of time to add pieces. The fact of the matter is that they're starting off in a hole. They have to add talent to a roster with a lot of holes and not a ton of money. I think investing heavily in the line of scrimmage is the way to go. -

No, the dude is a head case.

Shouldn't have anything to do with tithes. Tithing is an Old Testament command, anyway. We have a small finance committee at my church and outside of them no one knows who gives what. The problem is more likely that many churches view salvation and, in most cases, local church membership as a life long covenant. The Universal Church, all those who are in Christ, will be raised up together at the consummation of the world. It's typically related to their view of the end times. I hate it's been a challenge, it only further complicates an already tough situation.

Breaking, Ian Rapoport: Fitterer Fired
Jackofalltrades replied to NJPanthers12's topic in Carolina Panthers
As long as Tepper is owner and continues to meddle, it doesn't matter who fills these positions. -
I'd just be done with the NFL. I'm about there anyway. Sports in general continue to devolve.

McDermott reportedly wasn't the biggest fan of Cam

Ok, I stand corrected. -
No retreads please.

McDermott reportedly wasn't the biggest fan of Cam

Meh, I don't think I'd go quite that far. Allen is more accurate as a passer but not the runner Cam was. -

I wasn't the biggest fan of Cam initially. He proved me wrong many times over, but I'm curious to know the reasoning. -
I believe very sincerely that the game of football is won or lost at the line of scrimmage. If you can't win there, the rest doesn't matter.

Derrick Brown is our Franchise player

I'd much rather let Burns walk and use that money to buy a NFL caliber offensive line. -
Daniel Jeremiah on Panthers Offense/Bryce

People have been saying this since the preseason. -
People forget that Brees only had 27 attempts his rookie season and all of those were in one game. He didn't become the full time starter until his second season and his stats were mediocre at best throwing 17 TD's to 16 INT's and at 60.85 acuracy. We're going to have to be patient, period. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BreeDr00/gamelog/

These types of Referee blunders are 100% unacceptable

Stop that, it's clearly the ref's fault... -
I thought they had a good start to the game, in particular the first drive. I love that they went for it on 4th and 1 despite getting stopped. I thought Bryce looked good, all things considered. It was his first real NFL game, it was in a hostile environment, it's a new offense with a retooled OL and WR's who couldn't get separation. I was disappointed in the interceptions, especially the second one...but he's a rookie. I must have missed the scouting report that listed a cannon for an arm. I think we all knew that's not what we were getting. He made a couple of deep throws that showed his arm is plenty big enough to stretch the field. I'd rather have a highly accurate QB with an average arm than a cannon who misses open targets. Biggest disappointment by far was the self inflicted wounds. Three turnovers, some boneheaded flags...just looked undisciplined. Again, it's Game 1 and we knew this was going to be a long process.

Where are you from? I can't place the accent.

Unfortunately it's how this business works. On one hand I think he should honor the contract he's currently under. If you're underpaid according to relevant metrics then the team benefits, but the other side of that is if the player is under-performing then the team should suck it up and honor the contract, too. That's not practical though, especially given the constraints of time and money. The team has to make the best use of it's cap, where as the player knows he's on borrowed time while playing a violent sport. Burns career could come to a sudden halt at really any time. So while I don't necessarily like it I understand that they are trying to cash in while they have the leverage to do so.

Per snap would be even more revealing.
