  1. It is. I'm sure Fitterer and Morgan are beating the bushes to come up with a solid list for Frank to choose from as well.
  2. All true. But right now I cannot rule that out. With Tepper I would not rule out anything.
  3. I'm just spitballing here. The reason I said Levis is twofold. 1.) The rumor that Tepper already was looking at him before this past season played out and.. 2.) They know that trading up for Stroud is not likely. So I'm going with the realistic options for now. A lot of things will happen before the draft gets here so I reserve the right to change my prognostication at a later date.
  4. I like the fact they are training their replacement. If they get signed to another team for a promotion their replacement is already on staff and can keep rolling. I'm think Stanley is slated to be Frank's replacement should he retire or get fired?
  5. That's the target. So if you want to try to guess who they will target I would suggest you start with those parameters.
  6. I'm hoping that was the case. But until proven otherwise he has to own his part in all these stupid contracts handed out.
  7. They will not settle for less unless they absolutely have to for the time being. The starter will have to satisfy all those criteria to stay the starting qb for the Panthers.
  8. My early guess is that they target Levis in round 1 after signing someone like Carr, if they cannot get a trade partner or the cost is too rich its onto Plan B. Plan B will look something trading back into the bottom 3rd of round 1 and take a guy like Hooker or someone in that tier. Plan C is to just go with Carr (insert vet here) and Corral this season and get someone to compete with Corral for the starting role before Carr (vet qb) is cut loose. Or none of the above.
  9. That's how you right a wrong. Now all they need is a room full of QBs to sift through.
  10. The Bears will get a hall for that pick and we cannot even entertain trading for that pick. Had we say, traded someone for some 1st round picks we could be in the driver's seat. But muh defense needs a star. I got news for them, they still don't have a star.
  11. To move up you first have to have a trade partner. What do you do if you cannot get someone to trade with you? You cannot go into the draft counting on trading up. I certainly hope they have a better plan than "we are trading up". There better be a plan B and C in place before the drfat starts. I'm telling you this trade up idea is a pipedream.
  12. I'm sure they will. It still doesn't give me the warm fuzzy feeling that Fitterer has final say on the 53. After the Darnold deal I guess I'm a little gun shy. Especially with Carr out there.
  13. I keep going back to the statement from Reich where he said that Fitterer sets the 53 players and he decides who starts. That means Fitterer is controlling the draft and FA so he is picking the qb. That worries me.
  14. I'm hoping this season will be worth sitting through for a change. But if it goes true to norm you may want to just change channels.
  15. Let's start with some consist almost wins and work on the actual SB titles if we get there. I too want a few SB trophies to brag about. But to get them you must be able to get there and keep getting there because brother that is the ultimate goal. Building a team to win it all 1 season is a short sighted and often chosen route by a lot of teams. But very few can carry that over to the following season. Why is that? The reality is extremely hard to do in the salary cap era. Players move on to better contracts and coaches move on the promotions elsewhere. In essence you start over. Every coach will tell you that he coaches a different team every season. There may be a lot of the same players and coaches but only this year's class has a chance to lift the trophy.
  16. Hit fast forward on that thing until it gets to training camp. You can pause it for a second for our 1st round pick, but only for a minute.
  17. Everybody trying to make a buck off anything. Even if its staged. There's always an angle with everything these days.
  18. Their inexperience showed last night. Reid showed them why he's still one of the best coaches in the league. He took them to the woodshed in the 2nd half.
  19. Logic would say you are right. It appears however that finding another GM or head coach willing to put his job on the line for that little experiment may be a bit difficult.
  20. And the 2 walk in touchdowns. That was what did them in.
  21. Didn't mean you specifically. It was in the general sense as in someone.
