We know Dalton is good for a game or two. He shows us what the offense maybe could be with a QB who can consistently make accurate throws and has the arm strength to at least worry the defense a little.

His career record as a starter is more relevant than this stat. He doesn’t win. That’s the problem.

Every other phase and the other players sucked so bad today that Bryce won’t be in the spotlight as much. There’s also no point in playing Dalton. Just ride it out, bottom out and pick another qb next year.

He would be a great backup for an NFC north team. That’s his NFL ceiling.

Move the team. At this point who cares. All the stuff that made the franchise great, tough defense, grinding out games and a sense of pride are all gone. Other than McMillan, Horn, Brown and maybe Chuba there’s no one else worth even keeping. We are below NFL average at 18 of 22 positions and also apparently at kicker as well. I think Fitzgerald tore his vagina on that 55 yard attempt.

He’ll have a long career as a backup if he wants. He’s not a starter. Defenses aren’t afraid of him and can stack the box knowing there’s no chance of getting beat over the top. Even if a receiver does get open the throw won’t be accurate and no completion will occur.
