Erving's "effort" on the play that got Sam hurt
BIGH2001 replied to trueblade's topic in Carolina Panthers
When he said we weren’t the “Carolina Christian McCaffrey’s” I knew what a dumbass he was. Aside from it being completely wrong, this isn’t the kind of statement you make when by far the best player on your offense goes out with a long-term injury. He’s obviously not a team player and only cares about himself. Former first round pick. -
You don’t really get to learn on the job in the NFL. If Rhule said this it’s further evidence that he is running this team like a college program which is a big part of why he has been a total failure so far.

Tyrod behind a decent line could push the team into playoff contention.

He’s building a losing culture

As usual about 5 players from each team get hurt on TNF. Wish they would just end this poo. -

Who is playing QB to get us to 10 wins next year? People who think this team is on track keep ignoring this for some reason. -
He directly hires all of the people who are responsible for the product on the field. I'm not sure how you could be much more responsible for what goes on day to day. The success of a football team in the NFL ultimately falls on the owner, head coach, and GM and to a lesser extent the coordinators. Tepper is at the top of the chain so, yes, it's his fault this team and franchise are going in the completely wrong direction and are being led by people who seem to have no idea what they are doing.
-
This is really true. I haven't been to a home game since Tepper took over until I went to the Vikings game two weeks ago. The atmosphere was HORRIBLE and just way different than I remember. The entire lower level was probably 60% Minnesota fans. They had what appeared to be about 10 full sections right behind their team's bench. I didn't bother with the team store or any of that but it definitely didn't feel like much of a home field advantage. There is no player on the team that the casual or average fan would even care to see. If Tepper's not careful this franchise will turn into the Jags and the Browns. There needs to be a serious positive PR infusion and soon or things are going to get really ugly.

Sounds like we are becoming Jacksonville or the cardinals when they played at sun devil stadium.

Rapaport: Panthers/ Tepper out of Watson deal

It’s like we were building a team on madden and then turned the game off in the middle of the roster creation. -

Rejected. Probably doesn’t wanna play for a college coach who is in over his head. -
We won the first three in spite of him. And if your entire season depends on an injury prone running back staying healthy you are doing it wrong.
-
Right. He would need an elite defense and top 5 line to lead a team to anything resembling a successful year. If any game falls on his shoulders hes losing it 99 out of 100 times.

“Most knowledgeable football fans” does not include our GM or 62 million dollar head coach. SMH

Results business, bro. If you aren’t getting wins then it’s a failure. You don’t get credit for “trying” in the NFL. Giving up 3 draft picks for a terrible QB was a mistake. Being so reliant on CMC again was a mistake. Not trying to build the offensive line with any decent players was a mistake. Sending another two draft picks for corners who will likely have no impact on the team was a mistake. Extending Robby and drafting another receiver in round 2 was a mistake. Of course everyone is trying to win. You shouldn’t get credit for trying if your decisions on roster building turn out to be worse than 99% of your competitors. That just means you’re bad at your job.
-
Who decided not to draft any OL in the first two rounds the last two years? Who decided that bridgewater and darnold should be our QBs? That’s where the problems lie.
-
Burrow is tearing it up now in only his second season. They also had Edwards-Helaire and Justin Jefferson. The talent level on that offense was insane and way above almost anyone they played that season. Pretty much anybody could have called plays for that group to succeed.
-
Well that would be one problem solved, with Rhule right behind him if it doesn't get fixed very soon.
