The Jets and Panthers thinking the other is the "trap" team

Mays is our Center, end of discussion.

Let’s see how we do on the road against a team we can beat.
While the Jets are mega ass, they did manage to put up 27 on Tampa a few weeks ago and barely lost. We can’t take them lightly.

06 was the big Romo coming out party. We got up 14-0 and then the Cowboys outscored us 35-0 the rest of the way. They even set a franchise record for fourth quarter points, or something appropriately humiliating.
I think 2007 was the one where the DB just tackled Carter before the ball got there. Matt Moore was the starter in that game. I think that was the same one where Steve Smith made a catch on his back, the closest ref called it complete, and then Mike Carey came running from the opposite end of the field to call it incomplete.
Your memory is exquisite

Who remembers the night game against Dallas when maybe Romo was a new starter, and the obvious tackle on Drew Carter before the ball arrived, no PI call, changed the whole game. Thinking 07 maybe?

Slye kicked a game winner for the Commanders this year. Pretty cool.
I feel like all he ever did was kick us in the nuts

Damn Mahomes yapping at Hutchinson after that TD. I know it’s because of the late hit earlier in the drive. Still, I wish Hutch would have throat punched Pat

The one position that we seem to always get right is kicker. We drafted Butker but let him walk, we had Gano, Pineiro was ok for a while, now we have Fitzgerald. John Kasay would be proud, even though I'm still mad at him for his Super Bowl kickoff that let the Patriots start at the 40.
Has your PTSD memory protection allowed you to forget the Joey Slye experiment, because I haven't forgotten lol

Damn, haven't seen Skip in awhile, he doesn't look good. Maybe no TV makeup?

When we put on all blue against Dallas, it's lights fuging out.

Yeah that's one key aspect I'll give him specific credit for is he handled the pressure much better today. Minus the balls thrown into the dirt which if I'm being honest need to stop 35 games into his career.
You know man, I'm starting to wonder if the ground balls when he's under pressure is a Canales thing? It's not something I see commonly around the NFL, and I wonder if he's been coached to do this, because when he does it, it seems pretty damn methodical. I'll give him credit for avoiding Intentional Grounding penalties by making sure someone is close enough to the ball.

Serious question - if we're able to stack up more wins, how many does it take before a loss to the Panthers doesn't send the opponent's owner into a coach-firing, media-shunning fury?
I feel like even when we were on our way to the 15-1 season, major media continued to think it was a mirage and we weren't respected week after week. Even at 13-0, I think we were still expected to lose.

Bryce has trailed in the 4th quarter in 33 of the 34 games.
Damn. This is the stat some people don’t want to talk about.

How much did Big Kat put on Dallas this week?

Coachspeak is great, big what else were they going to do in that situation?
Yep, going for it was the only option. To punt was to play not to lose (aka Fox/Rivera ball).

Well said OP. I think we’re always aligned in how we see the team. I just want sustained success for my favorite football team, that’s it. No hidden agenda with me.
I will give Bryce his credit for today, he played a good game and we got a big win. If he can do this consistently, it could sway my opinion of him as a long-term solution at QB. But for now, I would need to see a lot more when he has to be primarily a passing QB. -
I’d be so happy to see them sulking out of the stadium. Every Dallas game I’ve attended the Panthers have lost.

I swear to god every time we come up against a good receiver Evero refuses to let Horn follow them.
Gives me PTSD from John Fox not having Gamble follow Fitz in the 08 playoffs.

Oh it’s gonna get prolonged alright, they will pick up his fifth year, probably after next week when we play the jets lol
Hmmmm, Miami, then Dallas, then NYJ. What could it be..???? lol

Why do some of you people seem to hate when Bryce does well?
Simple. We know he’s not an NFL quality QB. Anything that prolongs the inevitable keeps us in a sub mediocre churn.

The Bryce Young "Game Winning Drive" narrative needs to end
in Carolina Panthers
Posted
When I think of "Game Winning Drive" I think of this and only this.
It's a QB who hasn't put his team in a hole, but one who finishes the battle he's been in all day.
