Irony warning: SCP and I ran into each other in a Wal Mart parking lot a year or 15 ago. We both swore we were lost.

So some nice news for this thread and an update to something I posted last week. I shared a local news clip about my ex wife's bistro that was days from closing down because of the pandemic. Since that aired she had a string of recording breaking days. People drove from more than an hour away, ordered a $10 meal to go and handed her $100, $200, (even $500 in one instance) and told her to keep the change. She spread this good fortune among her employees for sticking with her through this. 

I am sure that surge will die off eventually but there are still some really good people in this world. This generosity from total strangers will keep her business and her employees going for awhile longer and hopefully help sustain them until things get back to "normal", what ever that might be. If any of you were able to visit and contribute to her business, I really appreciate the support.

We live at the lake now, Kenny so I'm pretty close to her place.  I'll be sure to have someone in our family stop by her place when we make trips up there over the next few weeks/months.  We've been trying to do so with as many Mom and Pop places as we can right now.  

Thousand Faces isn't a book to be read on a plane, it's a textbook more so than light reading/time killing.  Good read, though.

"Organically" is Hollywood speak for winging it as you go.  Useless and misappropriated word.  As I've said earlier, the first few books were great, but as it continues onward his roots as a TV writer/editor are coming out and he can't seem to find a way to end it so he meanders until he bumbles into something that can be passed off as an ending.  Comedy bits have this problem as well as complex dramas.  

Yay, and it basically confirms....he makes it up as he goes along.  Painting yourself in a corner here, Chief.

Been a fan since 95. Used to be a big Steve Smith fan but couldn't stand his actions. I've liked him less and less as years went on and couldn't wait till he retired. I never thought he'd be cut, but imagine us having ZERO receiving options and STILL giving this quality (on the field) player the axe. That's how big of a problem his attitude was. (Is)

I look at my 7 month old son as he grabs and throws a foam baseball and gets immeasurable joy from it...and it reaffirms my belief I'd never want to be at any other stage in my life than right here.  Cargo shorts and all.

I have both pairs of Reef flipflops mentioned in this thread.  But I use the busted flask ones to take out the trash this morning in my undershirt and boxers.  You're welcome, neighbors.

Had a great time with my family because we are nice and aren't ornery people.  

The problem is everyone thinks they're funny. Only 8% actually are.

I bet the crust haters here never go to the bakery section of the grocery store to purchase actual bread.

Only you poor people buy bread at a grocery store anyway.
