I don't believe the Corbett thing for a second. They said that so they don't telegraph to teams on draft day that they have an obvious glaring hole at C. There could be a high quality one at 33, and if not I would trade back and get a second tier one. On the sacks, I agree, and I was more than fed up with Burns on run plays and really any other play where he's not rushing the quarterback. I just don't think a situational pass rusher is worth spending that much of your cap on. Honestly would rather have a 30M/yr wide receiver.

I think we are fine this year, and we need to never give out of FA contract to a RB again. Just draft a mid rounder every year. Unless we luck into a CMC level talent The return of investment rate for free agent tight ends and running backs is extremely low. They don't need to be paid unless they are Kelce/Olsen/Gronk or CMC/Tomlinson/Charles tier of player. Also, every year there's a team seemingly out of nowhere that is the worst team in the league, this year it was our turn unfortunately. And every year one of the worst teams has a massive improvement. I highly doubt, as pessimistic as a lot of you are, we are the worst team next year. I can see a team like Seattle, Denver, Tampa or Minnesota just absolutely imploding their way to 2-14

Need a center in the 2nd round, and another weapon (either WR or TE). Do that and we are improved on paper. Only downgrade on that list is going from Burns/Luvu to Clowney/Wonnum, but we saved a shitload of money in the process. Every other "departure" was below average and I suspect most will be out of the NFL soon

Production wise he is the same as Burns, a better run defender but just older. If he gives two solid years then he likely equals what Burns would have done the rest of his time here. Just got to make pick 39 count now

Yeah I don't get the argument. Unless you have Mahomes, every single other team in the NFL needs offensive line and wide receivers. The last closest to win without was Cam, who's lack of an offensive line doomed him in the super bowl. I guess some posters on here want to wait until we get the best quarterbacks in the world. Okay, but you'll be waiting a long time, that just isn't realistic. There's only 7 good quarterbacks in the world (Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Stroud, Lamar, Hurts, Herbert) and about 12 average quarterbacks (Purdy, Dak, Cousins, Goff, Love being the high end). All besides Mahomes need weapons and a offensive line, period. So it's "catering to Bryce" to bring in offensive line and weapons? Like what?

i think they stay and select one of the two centers if they are there. we need an elite center. but yes the furthest i would trade back is 36-40. and need an early third at the minimum

Burns was worth 2 firsts, and then he sucked for a year and half and got older, so he isn't. Basically the jist of it The return is disappointing, but the team just has to draft better and we'll never get better until we do.

I would 100% trade him for a first round pick if that were available. If he was good against the run, then that's an easy player to keep as your cornerstone. But he just isn't. He's a one way, situational player and just isn't worth the 30+ million a year.

Well, its history that in the early 1900's "redskins" was in fact a slur towards Native Americans akin to how the n-word or "negros" were to refer to black people. So yes, if you see no problem with a team calling themselves the Cincinnati Negros, then you might be a racist. The only reason "redskins" wasn't more controversial when the team had it is because Native Americans are such a tiny minority of America (sadly) that most people were ignorant of it and there was little media pressure to change it.

Chiefs have bad facilities, arrowhead is old, and the owner is cheap with hotels/accomidations/etc. Part of the reason why players aren't really pining to play there and have no qualms leaving. Although most players in free agency just choose whoever is paying them the most. That's why "player X isn't coming to this dumpster fire (Panthers), he wants to play for a winning team" isn't a thing in the NFL. Players just want money and quality of life

I would tag. He hasn't proven the contract he wants. And given the choice of Evans/Higgins or Burns for the same money, I'm taking the WR every time. NFL has just moved that way now

I agree with you, but unless we luck into a Mahomes, Allen, Burrow level talent, which is very very hard to do, we might as well follow the blueprint of the teams that have won SB's without those elite QB's or at least build a team that is competing every year in the playoffs than have nothing at all. The huddle thinks that grabbing that elite QB is easy and is frustrated that we haven't done it yet. Its not. Again there are 3-5 elite QB's in the world at any given time and 32 NFL teams.

3-5 teams have elite QB's. If you keep chasing the elite QB, you are gonna be bad for 30+ years. There just isn't that much QB talent in the world unless the NFL changes the rules to make the position easier.
