  1. The team sucks right now because Fitterrer had the worst run of any NFL GM since 2000. Dan at least identified Coker, Hunt and Lewis, all three are solid starters. Jury is still out on FA class, you can't tell anything off a terrible week 1 game (just like last year). XL has about 3 games to turn it around or he will be replaced, but he was exceptionally lazy on Sunday which is inexcusable, as was Princely. But I'm not making excuses for Dan, its been as bad since he took over. Team is unprepared and Wallace and Scott were so bad they brought the entire defense down, and that's on Dan for not trying to upgrade those positions. I mean Peppers was a FA until yesterday and he's better than Scott in every single metric. We had the money. It tells me they weren't really caring about winning this season, just like the Hornets when they do this same bullshit
  2. We'll probably draft a Drake Maye/JJ McCarthy type who will be about the same as Panthers Sam Darnold for the entirety of their rookie contract, lead us nowhere and then give up and do the same thing again in 4 years
  3. I predict the Panthers surprise the Cardinals and win, like last year and the year Cam just signed. Then the huddle will be unsufferable with threads from both sides about how Bryce still sucks despite his performance or the Panthers are finally back, and then they lose next week to the Falcons in embarrassing fashion
  4. The Bryce threads are exhausting. And its the same posters every single thread. Combine it all into one please
  5. I mean let’s not act like Lawrence was any good, he was pretty bad also. Jags just got a few turnovers off a bad Panthers O and a 71 yard run and that was the difference. At least we aren’t paying Bryce a ton of money like the Jags are
  6. Yes. QBs are less than a coin flip now. Absolutely no way of knowing if they are going to be good or not. Fitterer ruined the decade for this team
  7. As I said earlier, they'd only be happy with Burrow, Mahomes, Allen, Daniels or Jackson. These same posters would be railing on everyone else. Stroud has been missing receivers left and right. Trevor Lawrence missed the same throws Bryce did in the same game and frankly had terrible footwork still which is inexcusable for a 5th year QB. Bryce was terrible and deserves criticism, no doubt. But only a few teams have franchise QB's and the rest need absolute perfect coaching and offensive talent to succeed. We don't have one, and bringing in Sam Howell isn't going to change a damn thing
  8. I mean did you see Russell Wilson play Sunday? He was leagues worse than Bryce Young. Honestly some of you are just so stuck in the mud that you think the Panthers are the only team with subpar QB play. Caleb Williams would have had the exact same performance against Jacksonville if he was our QB. Bringing in some jackoff like Aiden OConnell or Sam Howell isn't scoring any more points.
  9. No? Do you think they would be any better than Bryce Young? And Purdy and Brady are the 1 in 100 examples. There are 99 Will Greers for every Purdy.
  10. Wallace single handedly tanked the defense yesterday. When one guy is that out of position, it wrecks the whole defense. Carolina's defense wasn't actually that bad otherwise, the secondary played well. It was the worst performance I've ever seen and his PFF grade backs it up. He cannot play next week, or it will be much of the same. If they trot him out there again, it shows they have no fuging clue what they are doing. If he is on the field Cardinals first series, place all your money on the Cardinals
  11. QB's 3-7 round are far far worse return than any other pick. The Saints just wasted one on Shough, when it's so clearly obvious they are going to take one in the first next year. We did the same twice, with stupid Corral and that WV quarterback I already forgot. Also, you act like the Panthers didn't just bring in Teddy Bridgewater, then got rid of him.... Sam Darnold, then got rid of him.... Baker Mayfield, then got rid of him.... Daniel Jones would have been the same freaking story here. The Colts are a way better franchise with a way better roster and actual stability at GM and quality scouting. This isn't apples to apple comparison. The Panthers are just a poverty franchise with poor scouting, coaching and direction and I'm willing to bet Bryce on the Colts would have slammed the Dolphins yesterday too
  12. A mid round flyer qb is a wasted pick 99 out of every 100 picks. It’s the single worst investment in a draft pick. Case in point, people wanted to take Hooker in the 3rd round and now we have him on our PS
  13. Corbett was exceptionally bad yesterday and Bryce had trouble with the pressure. The coaching staff is playing the wrong players. Or Bryce is wanting Austin instead of Mays. Eye test said the secondary did good, I think Wallace and the turnovers almost single handedly tanked the defense yesterday. But that is still on Evero and Morgan, because it was inexcusable to go into the season with this as your linebacking crew.
  14. Tepper won’t clean house out of embarrassment. But that’s what we need, Morgan has appeared to completely whiff this offseason and wasted a ton of money doing so. The only focus this offseason should have been to improve the run defense which was worst in NFL history last season, and it somehow looks worse. Wallace looks to be the worst starting linebacker in the league and there were several options in free agency and we had the money. I think a good portion of that is because of Evero but a good coach and GM would have identified that Evero can’t scheme or coach and made a change. This team really, really, really can’t afford drafting another first round QB in 2026 because they sorely need defensive studs, and there are several in this upcoming draft. Just a gut punch of an opener and what’s even worse is if we cut BY he will be better somewhere else and we will be laughed at again, I just feel that it’s coming
  15. So glad we spent 140 million on run stopping players and it has virtually no effect. Bring back Marty Hurney please
  16. Offensive line is struggling big time, but we are snapping the ball at 0 on the play clock. For fugs sake change it up, this is a Carolina staple going on 15 years now
  17. There’s a 99 percent chance we move on from Bryce and he becomes a top 10 QB just like Baker. We are just a poverty franchise
  18. Evero has got to go. Not bringing in a veteran defensive coordinator will ruin this season
  19. That Ohio St. safety is a baller. He needs to be our pick but will likely go top 7
  20. I'd like the defense to be different and take the Jags off guard. It was puzzling what we did in preseason, so I am hoping that they just were vanilla and didn't put forth effort. With D. Brown, B. Brown and Moehrig, we should focus on completely shutting down the run. They aren't going to improve that much on defense from last year, but with those three additions, they should at least focus on stopping either the run or pass instead of letting both be terrible
  21. Two prospects to look at for our 2026 1st round pick... Texas LB Anthony Hill Jr, an athletic ILB that can play all over the field, and Ohio St. S Caleb Downs, a coverage safety with speed and ball skills. Both looked solid today
  22. I think every single poster on this board knows this is a make or break year for BY and knows he hasn't been consistent enough to warrant a big contract extension. I also think there are several posters here (CRA, LG in particular) who will never be happy with our QB situation unless we have a top 4 QB like Burrow, Allen, Jackson or Mahomes (and I'm fairly certain they would be bitching at Lamar if he was our QB). Getting a player like that is extremely rare and is something the Panthers haven't done in 30 years... and there's a good chance they will be waiting the rest of their lives as well because the Panthers have been a fairly unlucky franchise and are owned by someone who wants instant gratification. So for those hoping these conversations will go away, they never will. Cam had a lot of the same negative posts here as well except for one season. It's just part of being in the Panthers fandom
  23. Luvu is viewed by a lot of people as a top 10 linebacker, and we said no thanks. Dre Greenlaw is viewed by a lot of people as a top 10 linebacker, has been getting raved about in Denver camp, was a unrestricted FA looking for a starting spot, and we said "we'd rather give a backup DT more money" Two extremely puzzling decisions considering our 32nd ranked LB core and our GM is a freaking ILB, but I guess it's possible that both really didn't want to come/stay here
