vs Rams: Saturday, January 10 @ 4:30pm
Hoenheim replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree with that. I just don't know if Canales will actually do this. He loves running up the gut on predictable early downs and loves his cutesy screens and passes in the backfield. We only beat the Rams last time because of multiple turnovers from the defense and converting multiple 4th downs through the air. They'll have to be aggressive again if we want to win again. We simply do not have the talent to win against a Rams team that is vastly superior to us in talent and coaching. You also can't expect them to turn the ball over 3x again either . -
That Seahawks defense is the truth but it doesn't excuse 50 yards passing though.

Carolina Panthers Win the NFC South for the First Time in 10 Years

Siri. Play Swag Surfin' . -
In the most Panthers way possible. On a two game losing streak with the Falcons winning their last game of the season vs the saints. Doing us a solid and pushing us, stumbling backwards, straight into the playoffs, for the first time since the 2017 season!! We have not won the division since the 2015 season when we went to the Super Bowl. Not saying i expect us to go to the Super Bowl. But it feels good to be back into the playoffs and host a playoff game again.

I think someone asked tmac before the draft which WR he models his game after the most, and he said Larry Fitzgerald. Heard other people comparing him to AJ Green and obviously the Mike Evans comparisons as well. NFLs draft profile compares him to Drake London

What will likely happen with this team moving forward….
Hoenheim replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Everything will be riding on the 2026 sesson If they revert back to winning 2 to 6 ish games next year I think it all gets blown up and start over at QB and HC. We won too many games this year for any significant changes to happen, besides maybe losing Evero and Idzik, DC and OC, and getting new coaches there. Maybe firing and replacing some position group coaches. Roster will be very similar. Rico will be replaced by Jonathon Brooks imo, XL might be traded. Might get a big name free agent pass rusher and or MLB. But in general the team will look very similar players wise. And getting a more capable backup qb not named Andy Dalton. There's some fairly intriguing project QBs in the draft they might take a stab at as well, since Bryce has been so inconsistent this year. -
If we could swing a Mingo - like trade for him and get a 4th round pick it might be a heist. We definitely could use a much better 2nd/3rd option at WR. A dude like Tedd Ginn Jr or Jameison Williams basically, someone with crazy burners that opens up the offense. We do have Jimmy Horn but Canales doesn't utilize him enough.

Tetairoa McMillan broke the Panthers rookie WR yards record that's been held by Kelvin Benjamin for quite a while (1008 receiving yards). He ended up with 70 receptions for 1014 yards and 7 Touchdowns, 14.5 YPR. He put these numbers up with an inconsistent 5 foot 10 Quarterback with a weak arm that can barely throw for 100 something yards total in most of his games, on a team with a shitty inconsistent offense. Let's compare him to the top 5 WRs of all time (in terms of total receivimg yards) and their rookie WR seasons : > Jerry Rice: 49 receptions, 927 yards, 3 TDs, 18.9 YPR > Larry Fitzgerald: 58 receptions, 780 yards, 8 TDs, 13.4 YPR > Terrell Owens: 58 receptions, 520 yards, 4TDs, 14.9 YPR > Randy Moss: 69 receptions, 1313 yards, 17 TD, 19.0 YPR > Isaac Bruce: 21 receptions, 272 yard, 3TDs, 13.0 YPR I'd say Tmac is in pretty damn good company. Randy Moss was an alien lol. I really hope Shough doesn't win OROY over Tmac. Hopefully we aren't going to have to watch him play with Bryce for half of his career. Can you imagine if we had traded the pick to the Rams and he got to play with Puca, Stafford, and Sean McVay? He might have gotten 1500 and 14 TDs lol. Just glad we got something positive to hang onto. I don't see the Panthers ever letting this dude go. I think all we need is a speedy WR to complement him and Jalen Coker.

Who played or coached their last game as a Panther tonight.
Hoenheim replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agree with all of this. Rico's fall off in the 2nd half of the year basically took away his leverage for a big deal here We got Brooks coming back and Etienne and Chubba. That's probably enough for now I would love to see how the defense looks in a 4-3 with a better DC than Evero. -
Official Week 18: Panthers @ Buccaneers Gameday Thread
Hoenheim replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Reading the comments on an nfl social media post with bryce walking into the stadium. One of the most like comments says " He looks like he's 12 years old." Lol How Fitterer, Reich, and Tepper looked at Bryce and saw a franchise QB at that outlier of a tiny size, is nuts. I feel like there were probably heated arguments that happened that we will never know about. -
And now Miami seals it for sure with an INT with less than 50 seconds left. wow.
-
Miami goes up 24-14 with less than 1 min left in the game. That is a wrap!! OSU is done for the year. After winning the national championship in 2024 and going undefeated this year until the Big 10 Championship Game, they had a lengthy stretch of dominance that was ultimately ended by Indiana and Miami at the end of their 2025 season.
-
This Miami RB has been absolutely carrying the team on offense. Big gashing runs several times tonight.
-
Miami defense gets a crucial stop with about 6 min to go in the 4th quarter. Desperately holding onto a 3 point lead on OSU
-
It feels like Miami has at least 7 sacks in this game. Unreal.
-
Carson Beck. Hell of a scramble for a first down on 3rd and long. Had to lower his shoulder through a defender to pick it up
-
Ohio State scores a TD to make the game even closer 17 - 14, early Q4. Maybe OSU figured out how to start pass protecting a little better after halftime. They were getting their poo wrecked by Miami's defense before half
-
Miami kicks a field goal and makes it to go up 17 - 7 on OSU, with 3 minutes left in Q3
-
Ohio State finally scores in the 3rd Quarter Miami 14 OSU 7
-
14 points won't be enough to beat OSU
