In all likelihood the only way the Panthers are playing in the second week of January is if they win the division. The loss to the niners did a lot of damage to any wildcard hopes they may have. The formula to win the division is pretty simple. After the bye week, if Carolina wins their final four games (at NO, vs Tampa, vs Seattle, and at Tampa) they are NFC South Champs. In that scenario, they finish 10-7 and the Bucs best possible finish would be 10-7 as well. The Panthers would win a tiebreaker with a 5-1 division record. Ironically, the late season bye comes at a perfect time. Get healthy and try and win four in a row. With Canales outsmarting himself at every turn and Bryce putting up QB numbers not seen since leather helmets were worn, the thought of winning four in a row seems almost impossible, but, we at least go into December in the hunt.

The league is so inconsistent with their punishments depending on what team you play for. Amon Ra throws a punch at Daron Payne and gets nothing. Payne retaliates and throws one at Amon Ra and gets ejected and a game suspension. NFL wasn’t about to be penalize one of the lions premier players with a game against the eagles coming up, but suspending Payne doesn’t matter since he’s on a losing commanders team. I bet Moehrig gets a game

Clock actually starts when the play clock hits 35 seconds above five minutes. when it’s less than five mins, it stops.

Evero deserves some credit for mixing in the man with his zone tonight. I know they’ve moved the ball at will but his unit has given this team an opportunity to win this game by double digits.

Lost in all the hype for the offense is the praise the defense deserves for keeping Bijan and London in check in that second half. Cherilus was absolutely destroying people in that fourth quarter and Scourton is gonna be a good one. He has consistent effort. Just needs to continue to develop.

He will get all the flowers for the big catch but his block on the fourth and one in the fourth quarter in Rico’s run was huge.

QB can’t overcome a negative play. A ten yard penalty ends a drive automatically.

We’re going to have to let Bryce fully sink. He’s going to have to be told that he needs to hit some shots downfield. if you are coaching in a manner where you believe he is completely incapable of that, then you pull the plug now. all that is moot if your boss, the owner, is mandating Bryce be played to save face.

This offense has scored 45 points the last four games. that is horrendous.

Not sure there’s a team in the league that can overcome this level of qb play. Doesn’t matter how good their skill guys are.
