  1. I do think our overall talent level is improved from 2 years ago. The gaping hole at qb makes everything look bad. The overall talent level has progress and is the foundation imo. Our roster was gutted when rhule was hired. They have swung and missed at qb twice now but there is no choice but to keep swinging.
  2. I'm guessing this has been asked but... Were rhule and co trying to create a smokescreen by having mcadoo say darnold is our qb or did mcadoo really speak out of turn? I could see them trying to make others think they don't intend to take a qb at 6 by leaking that.
  3. I'm a casual hornets fan but I thought they lost too many to the worst teams. They could have been in the top 6 if they had beat the teams they should have. To be fair, they did win more against better teams this year. I won't pretend I know if jb should have been retained but it seemed they underperformed their talent to me.
  4. I went to sb50 and sat in a panthers section and thought two panthers fans were going to get into a fistfight because one was standing and the other wanted him to sit down. They didn't fight but cussed each other pretty good. I was embarrassed for them.
  5. I don't understand your point. How has rhule cost us 2 sbs?
  6. Thanks. I'm blind. It's right there in the screenshot. I would be happy with Neal at 6. If we got him and traded down, that would be pretty amazing.
  7. How do we have a 2nd round pick to trade in that scenario? Our original is gone in the darnold trade.
  8. Did orlovsky run out of the back of an end zone as he said this?
  9. I believe you bet 100 to win 500. Conversely, Tampa at -600 means you have to bet 600 to win 100.
  10. Between hill and waddle, that is a lot of speed at wr. You better have some quick corners when you play miami these days (that is if tua can get them the ball)
  11. Given the off-season acquisitions by the other afc west teams and the loss of hill, I don't know if kc wins that division this year. That division looks tough.
  12. He is on the 5th year option. So, if you trade for him, he brings the same 1 yr, 18ish million fully guaranteed contract darnold has. Most likely, he is gonna want an extension real soon if traded.
  13. Honestly, I think if we can get a stud lt in the draft, I'd be OK with this. It would be awesome to see cam at his best again surrounded with a solid line and weapons. I still feel like cam could dominate again if everything went right. We need a viable backup in about any route we can take now.
  14. Can Willis put on 2 shoes. Otherwise balance could be an issue.
  15. He can be an elite slash piece. I don't want to trade him.
  16. That seems almost too good to be true. That's the kind of deal a vet takes with tampa or some other perennial contender when chasing a ring. I cant get help but wonder why he took this deal with us...
  17. 41 tds and 12 interceptions in his 22 career starts. What skill players did he have in those starts with the Jags or the Iggles? Get him for a 5th and worst case you have a good backup. Best case, you could have something if put behind a solid line with some weapons. I really am in favor of this.
  18. I don't read it like that. He is just saying Wikipedia used to be the go to place for rumors and lies. Now rumors and lies are everywhere and Wikipedia is one of many of those places.
  19. Matt Kalil and Paradis have definitely been disasters. Surely we are due for some good o line signings
  20. My speculation: The bonus money was done for several reasons. 1) it changed his cap hit this year to a much lower number since the bonus will be split across the length of the contract for cap reasons. I doubt the browns could fit him under the cap without at least some restructuring since Mayfield still is under his 5th year option. 2) as you said, watson is protecting himself from losing large sums if and when he is suspended by having a much lower salary. This does seem unfair as he is getting rewarded for this whole mess he is in. 3) I'm pretty sure the restructure bonus will be paid immediately as a huge lump sum. Around 50m I believe. Anybody would rather get that upfront rather than doled out in a regular salary.
  21. I think he will be suspended 4-6 games but if he gets in trouble after that, the browns will be all kinds of screwed.
  22. I see this argument. Similar to fields vs Mac Jones last year. Pickett and Jones seem more ready now while fields and Willis probably have more upside.
