  1. I would say that slow starts to a season are fairly normal. If you look at the results from this weekend, several Superbowl winning coaches (Mcvay and Bill B) had slow starts. In fact, might even call them horrible starts. The start doesn't concern me that much. But two seasons of ineptitude do. Its going to take a lot of wins before I have even a sliver of confidence that this staff can win consistently.
  2. Our offense was clicking in the 4th quarter. But that makes his decision to not go for the td, or at least another first down even worse.
  3. So many NFL games come down to the last two minutes. Those end game decisions are usually what make or break a coach. This past Sunday, our coach made bad decisions in the last two minutes, and it cost us the game.
  4. I agree, its just that we knew Icky vs Garret was problematic, and it took us a while to do anything about it. Of course, all this is a moot point if the coach was a little more aggressive at the end.
  5. Given that we ran the ball maybe four times the entire first half, I am not surprised they knew we wouldn't run. The ironic thing is, that when we did run, we actually had some success. Not a lot, but enough to maybe try to run it a little more.
  6. I am not really concerned about left tackle play in that game. A rookie going up against perhaps the best in the league was not going to work out well. But they needed to give the rookie some help. I guess they did eventually, but they waited to long. The pressure up the middle though is more concerning imo.
  7. I don't know, I thought releasing Cam and bringing in Bridgewater and no one else, made Rhule look like a Dud.
  8. Don't know about Dallas, but I think Denver was using the Matt Rhule end game playbook last night. Their clock management and decision making at the end was baffling. 64 yard fg vs allowing Wilson to try and pick up the first down? If you don't think he can make the first down, then why spend so much money to sign him?
  9. That Belichecky guy really doesn't know what he is doing. Won't be surprised if he gets fired halfway thru the season.
  10. Baker was better than Fields yesterday. Fortunately for Fields, Trey Lance was far worse than Cleveland's qb.
  11. I don't know that he is a fraud. Only people that know him personally would know that. I just know he doesn't seem to be a very good NFL coach. Beyond that, I don't know or care.
  12. I thought it worked fairly well in the passing game. DJ, Robbie, and Ian all made big plays. Would have worked better, but for the batted passes and sacks.
  13. The Cowboys might fire Mccarthy, but I doubt it will help them much as it will still be Jerry making the decisions.
  14. This is the modern-day NFL. The rules favor the offense. No matter how good the defense is, any competent offense has a shot at taking them down the field and getting in fg range with a minute left. You don't give them the chance.
  15. The interesting thing is, we did stop them on the drive right before our field goal, when we focused on stopping the run. So probably a lot of scheme/coaching decisions, but with significant inability to deal with an oline that was missing two starters.
  16. Even if it was wrong, Rhule screwed up by not being aggressive on our fg. Giving an NFL team, any NFL team, a minute left to get in fg range, is too much.
  17. Everyone but Cleveland missing field goals today.
  18. Nah, we will hold them to only field goals in the second half, but Rhule will play for a fg himself with 3 minutes left and Daniel Jones will get them into position for Gano to win it with a 67 yard fg.
  19. Regarding the Giants, how do you have more than 400 yards of offense, only 1 turnover, and only ten points?
  20. It was an ugly game, with two bad offenses going up against two very good defenses. The less bad offense won. Lance may eventually be good, don't know at this point, but I imagine the forty whiners are glad they kept Jimmy G at this point.
  21. Fields wasn't very good today. But Lance was terrible.
  22. It looked great because he played great in the second half and how he played in the first is completely irrelevant in judging how he played in the second half. Not saying he will be our franchise qb, but for one half of football, he played great. I mean completing 75% of your passes under constant pressure for a 150 yards is great.
  23. The refs were wrong, but we put Cleveland in a position to win by not going for the First down on our last possession. Don't give the refs a chance to win it.
  24. I agree with you a lot, but got to disagree with this. Baker settled down after the first int and played a magnificent game, even with getting knocked on his a$$ for much of the third qtr. For the entire second half, he completed 75% of his passes and threw for 150 yards, and got 17 points. I don't know if he is the future, but at least for today, he played a great second half.
