  1. Appreciate the commentary, Hawk.

I'd also like to know how the fanbase in general is reacting.  Do they think the Panthers drove Wilson's price up? Are they happy someone set the market? More concerned about Luck now? What are they saying?

most Hawk fans knew Wilson was going to get paid and paid large.  Just like the huddles love of Cam, the 12th man loves Wilson too.  I think in general from what I've seen most think Cam's numbers will drive Wilson's numbers even hire and I also think alot of Seahawk fans are curious to see what happens with Luck.  As mentioned by others previously in this thread, many 12's are wondering how the front office is going to make it all happen with so many other big contracts already in place...myself included.

  2.

Is that really your twitter that SCP quoted?

yup...and while it might be taken as a shot towards Cam, that was not the case, it was a shot at the league in general and on how the salaries have escalated like crazy!

the 2nd one was aimed specifically at the huddlers that I know follow me or read my garble!

  3. been busy boys...but being you asked...here are my honest thoughts

been here a really long time and I have to admire the support the huddle has always given the panthers, in good times and bad.  I fully appreciate the homerism of the huddle and it should be no other way really...all fan based forums certainly had better be that way.

all that said, I honestly think that Cam is a really good quarterback that just got an elite QB's contract.  In my opinion, Cam hasn't done enough to prove that he should be considered a true elite QB.  I also would worry about his longevity with the style of game he plays.  As he ages I think he will need to realize that he needs to get down, out of bounds or whatever it takes to start minimizing the number of big big hits that he has been taking over his first 4 years.  When that happens, I think his value to the team decreases some because in my opinion his strength is in his legs and size and he's not accurate enough to be classified as an elite QB.

Now the question was around Wilson and his contract now that Cam has this one signed.  My turn to let my homerism shine through.  I think Wilson is a better QB than Newton.  I think he's smarter, he's more elusive and he hasn't taken near the amount of punishment that Cam has.  Everyone automatically says that Wilson is lucky!  Personally I think he's very good at extending plays that look like they are over, he scrambles well and still is able to make some pretty nice throws under pressure.  I'm not saying Cam doesn't do this, I just think Wilson does it better.  I'd also challenge that Wilson hasn't really had any great receivers to throw the ball to either...good, but not great.  Clearly Wilson has benefitted from having Lynch in the backfield and a great defense as well.

I think in the end you get rewarded for two things...your net worth to the team for the future and for results already provided.  Newton was rewarded for his net worth and his potential, Wilson will get rewarded for his results and his potential.  I'm guessing in the 25 per season range.

People will argue that if you swapped Wilson and Newton that Newton would have way better stats because of the defense and Lynch etc...but at the same time, the Seahawks built their team around Wilson, pretty sure that's the recipe for success!

    you asked, I provided....flame away.

  4. if anyone had pictures, you'd be the guy!  That was a great trip...I remember sitting in the bar after this picture was taken and Mush telling all the waitresses and pretty much any other woman walking by that I was an NHL player!!!

  5. Super Bowl is used to reward its corporate clients not the fans or the general public. Enjoy the regular season and the playoffs - that's all that matters

    ummmm...NO!

    its all about the ring!

When Percy Harvin ran back the opening kick off of the 2nd half I remember sending my wife a text that we just won the Super Bowl and I was going to cry like a bitch!!!

So I didn't cry like a bitch but I will admit a couple tears of joy running down my cheeks and the emotions just being unbelievable.

  6. Interesting that the OP chose to say 4 games for 'a joint' instead of 'PEDs' which the Seahawks lead the league in. Six Seahawks caught roiding up, vs. Tom Brady (good person) letting a milimeter of air out of a football would frame the whole cheater thing a bit differently.

those guys all cheated and did their time!  I'm also thinking that taking Adderall for mental sharpness doesn't equate to purposely deflating footballs for your small girly hands!!!

PS...how much air is in a milimeter anyway?

  7. you get 4 games for using adderall...a drug used to improve your mental focus....

what's the suspension for knowingly deflating balls to fit better in your tiny girly hands?

Sean Payton suspended an entire season even though he swears he knew nothing about bounty gate....Billycheat has already been found guilty once before

this will all get very interesting

  8. whatever outcome it had or didn't have on the Indy game or any other game really doesn't matter much to me....the fact is, they got caught cheating, again.  The part that really pisses me off is I'm sure that the timing of this coming out isn't a coincidence at all...season is over, draft is over....well, I guess we better deal with this.
