  1. At this point I don't see a realistic scenario where Coker would not be a lock. Showed great skills last year with room for growth and huge upside. Anything can change but so far it looks as though he has a bright future was a great find for the team in last years UDFA crop.
  2. Must have started cycling his writing through AI. Even when Chatgtp updates, it says "WTF Joe!"
  3. Yes. This. I know there have been fumble issues that need to be worked on but you don’t just let people lay the wood to your starting qb. Imagine him getting hurt cause of a hit like this. Talk about an embarrassment of a franchise. Great play by the rookie. Remember, don’t hit the QB. How controversial is this?
  4. I didn’t necessarily think he was gonna get cut but I did think Rozeboom was viewed as an upgrade/replacement. I suspect the FO was concerned about the lengthy concussion protocol and wanted to mitigate this.
  5. Scourton has a very likeable personality. The fact that hes only been in Charlotte a short time and his parents have already been around and pointed out to him that the Museum is free on Wednesday resonates with me greatly and I find it endearing. I'm not a museum guy either but if I were, Wednesday would be my day. Wish him the best.
  6. I hope everyone is peeing clear. Maybe not Spartanburg hot, but it’s hot out there
  7. I don’t see Xavier Woods departure as a huge weakness but understand his sentiment.
  8. On paper and previous performance, this line is very strong. Not perfect but it shouldn't be a concern for a QB. There is a stronger case for concern related to his weapons than his protection but this offense is built for a QB to be successful and it is up to Bryce at this point. Cautiously optimistic based on the end of last season but time will tell.
  9. Anybody that can make an NFL roster for 15 years let alone start for many of them deserves props in my opinion. Seems like a good dude and good teammate. I think he adds value to being on the roster but I dont think there are many situations where I want to see him playing on Sundays in a Panther uniform.
  10. Now we know the reason for the holdout. Be aware that you’ve set the precedent for all contracts going forward.
  11. Well said. Also, the agent is also not looking at this myopically. Its not just one contract but it is setting a precedent and more $$$ across the board said agent. Gotta believe there is a lot of added emphasis and motivation from that standpoint.
  12. Congrats to him. Glad mom and child are healthy. When does training camp start?
  13. I hear you, agree and found it surprising as well, but respectfully, what’s the difference? Bottom tier until proven otherwise but I hope the players see all this and prove the writers incorrect .
  14. Great post. The fact that you/anybody can say this about a Panthers draft class and not immediately get torn apart by rabid posters is a good thing and gives me hope for the FO and team in general. I think all of these guys are going to get meaningful snaps and contribute heavily. This was pretty big also. Basically got a starting CB with our 7th rounder. While the verdict is still out, my July hopium is overflowing.
  15. I’m voting for Byron Bell. He technically wasn’t drafted but we got a lot of starts and playing time out of him so I guess if you go for value then he’d be on the list. Some would say a potted plant would have served the same purpose but not the guys fault. Should have never been in that position.
  16. Good question and I don't have a good answer. If I had to guess it might have something to do with the Aw Shucks approach that people may feel as being more genuine. None of this stuff is going to matter if XL cant catch the damn ball though.
  17. I like it! The only portion of the post that tempers my optimism.
  18. I don't think there should be a difference and if there is a conflict, you have an implosion. The staff and organization are there to establish culture from the FO down. The players they bring in should personify that. The FO ideally has the vision and the players execute on that vision. What we see as fans should appear to be player led but it has to complement and be aligned with the organization. Just my opinion and I may be missing the point of the topic so apologies if that is the case.
  19. Yeah, but I think this guy does balloon animals too so there's that...
  20. He might be half a football player at this point too.
