I remember the same but Mike was not a “franchise QB”. So I think it’s because my view of him is relative to expectation. The fact that BY has this comparable stat to Mike Glennon is pitiful.

I need to avoid the huddle and these tidbits during working hours lest I succumb to day drinking.

This is the poo we literally do on a weekly basis. Ever team forum who beats the panthers needs a thread basically saying the win doesnt matter cause the panthers suck and does sucky stuff.

I will abstain from anything negative or critical of the team. To win by 30 in a shutout in the NFL is not something easily done. Go team!

Canales probably trusts that BY is his best chance on the roster at this point and has to play him until the season is lost or mathematically over. Then he doesn't. Or he gets fired on the way. Which ever one comes first.

If this was his first game as a rookie then I would be all for rationalizing this. But it is year 3 and he doesn’t have it. If u had AT he would have had a better game in all likelihood but I think that amounts to putting lipstick on a pig. No matter play out the year and see where you end up which is probably looking for a new QB. Hope I’m wrong but that hope is microscopic at this point.

Not sure about cleaning house but if things continue going the way week one did I suspect several of the staff will have a lot of free time over the upcoming holiday season. Some might want to go ahead and get that Halloween costume as they sell out fast.

As an NC State fan and alumnus with nostalgia aside, this just means we are going to be bad to mediocre and play against different teams.

But you don't have just one car. You pay someone to pick cars for you and you have two new ones that were advertised as top of the line plus a couple others you bought for value. If that 200 dollar car is the only one you can rely on then you need to pay someone else to pick cars for you.

This is a good summation. If Bryce needs Theilen for success then what does that say about the future of BY or the receiving corp where we have invested 2 first round picks in the last two drafts. What would happen when AT retires at the end of the season? The young guys we drafted for long term need to step up or we need to rethink our offense's core personnel.

Hard for me to muster too much venom for a 3rd string QB but totally agree he is not the right fit for an NFL QB room.

I think the preseason performance has caused a "Meh" Cloud to hover over the fan base. I still have some interest and while I don't expect a lot of wins, I think there are other things I would like to see in terms of the team at least going in the right direction. On offense is Bryce the guy and is XL moving forward? Is the defense performing better with DB back Are the rookies and 2nd year players developing? That said, for me there is some intrigue but I don't think they will compete for a playoff spot.

I think we tend to overvalue our players. Last year folks were clamoring for a first for (WR/headcase/locker room cancer, I forget his name) that was traded for a pick swap and yielded less in value than Mingo. I believe he is a deep depth piece at Cleveland now.

With very little insght or analysis these would be the areas I would target. Obviously you look everywhere and I am not guaranteeing or wanting these guys cut immediately but this is a problem area IMO. ILB: Krys Barnes, Jon Rattigen, Claudin Cherelus S: Nick Scott CB: Shemar Bartholomew

Agree. Record means very little if anything. The play and performance is foreshadowing I fear.

I think XL the person is great and that story, which is very cool, is not really surprising. I just want XL the NFL football player to take a step forward.
