Thanksgiving 2015.

Having to beat Dallas and the refs is too tall an order for this squad.

I’d guess they knew they weren’t gonna play him this week and wanted the other guys to get the reps. Just my best guess.

Never expected him to play this week. Hasn’t worn pads in a month. Gotta work his way back in.

I still don’t understand the way the media/announcers treat Bryce with such deference. It’s like he’s their little buddy and they want to put his macaroni art on the fridge. I think that upsets me as much if not more than Young’s play.

The same way every convo shifted to Cam’s towel. He’s the QB. All the praise or all the blame. Celebrated or hated. No inbetweens.

It was a shitty way to word it in the post. It was at the end of a list of rankings of improvements our D has over last year and just tossed “from last” at the end. Caught me slipping.

Oops… found it. We were 3rd… 3rd from last. My fault.

This is the type of game Dallas lives for. Weak opponent to push around to get the media all frothy. Historically we aren’t very good against Dallas in the reg season. Can we win? Maybe. Can we get smoked by 50? Yep.

It was in a list of stats, I’m sure it had to do with pressure and we were ranked 3rd or something. I can’t remember where I saw it.

If I’m not mistaken we’re near the top of the league in QB pressure. Sacks are great but if we keep pressuring the QB at this rate the sacks will come.

We have enough pieces to field a decent defense if only we had a coordinator that didn’t default to cover-3 zone 50% of the time. And doesn’t have to be asked sweetly with sugar on top by his best defender to get more pass rush opportunities.

Add to that if you can keep playing past your prime as younger faster players keep trying to take your job, you’re damn near a unicorn. I think that helps put the All-time greats into perspective. They are/were truly special athletes.

1) the resources used to get Bryce prevent his early release. 2) the roster resources spent around the QB to make it work prevent his early release. 3) the coaching hires purely aimed at salvaging the QB prevent his early release. 4) finally, the owners foolish pride in selecting the QB prevents his early release. Good or bad the move to get Bryce has to play out. It’s almost over tho so hang tight.

200 on the ground is tough to pull off. Good for him.

The kid looks really solid. Not likely a superstar or anything but a really good football player. I’ll take that all day everyday. The roster needs guys like him all over.

The biggest improvements have come when Turk Wharton is not playing NT.

Even more, I don’t understand how a RB having a career day saves the QBs job.
