But just in case I have not convinced you yet that the Panthers will be going on the offense in round one, take a look at Dave Gettleman's draft pick history...

    2013 - Defense

    2014 - Offense

    2015 - Defense

    2016 - Do I see a pattern here.... ?

Well you do have a 50-50 chance to be correct.....

    Quote

Jack Ryan: Has he made any Crazy Ivans?

Capt. Bart Mancuso: What difference does that make?

Jack Ryan: Because his next one is going to be to starboard.

Capt. Bart Mancuso: Why? Because his last was to port?

Jack Ryan: No. Because he always goes to starboard in the bottom half of the hour.

[Mancuso looks at a clock, and sees it's near the half-hour mark]

  2. You always choose Franchise QB over Elite DE.

I live in Houston, JJ Watt is as good as advertised, but you can scheme him out of plays or just get your hands on him. Your QB touches the ball every offensive snap.

And forget getting Luck in 2012. The colts didn't start winning until they had pretty much secured getting the top pick (0-13). Though the rams did give them a run for the money by dropping their last 7 to get the 2nd pick in the draft.

  3. All those flyer miles and you haven't scored one of those Club/Lounge passes?

I'm sure you could talk your way into the United Global First lounge, drink some scotch and hors d'oeuvres. Heck you might get lucky and meet some of those leech lobbyist or strike gold and handshake with some Congress Critters. Just pretend to be one characters in the Tinderbox spectrum (except Pstall, cause neither side really cares about independents) and you'll have another chapter for your book.

  4. Depends on what I'm cooking. Mostly I prefer charcoal, but if I need to get a real good caramelization or a quick hot seer on a piece of nice rare steak, I switch to my gas infrared grill. It gets way hotter faster and since I'm usually only using it for 3 or 4 minutes, it's more convenient than charcoal for the same purpose.

Do you prefer IR over traditional gas? More difficult to clean or about the same?

I'm currently in the market for a new grill, but I don't know anyone personally who has an IR grill.

  5. To expand on my earlier post, an RPG set in WWII, modeled after a Fallout/Elder Scrolls/Dragon Age would be the poo. I doubt you could have the same depth to the game and crazy amounts of missions, but it would be fun.

Nice idea. Missions based on spying, sabotage could be cool.

  6. You will enjoy college taking this route....but will be complaining afterwards that you can't find a job, afford your student loan payments, nor make a living.

Sometimes a job is just a job. If you can support yourself and family by doing something you love, good, if not, you still need to support yourself and family.

Is the pursuit of a career "I love" something new in the modern era? Or is this a 1st world problem.

  7. They had Vereen (their RB) report as an ineligible receiver and put him in the slot. The Ravens were confused if he was ineligible or not because it was not made clear and he was in the slot. When the ball was snapped, Vereen ran a route backwards that further confused the Ravens D and caused them to commit a defender to him.

I doubt a single instance of the ineligible receiver would confuse defenses, but if a team were to not substitute and begin swapping players as eligible/ineligible and doing this in the no huddle/quick snap, defenses would always be outmanned. Unless you allowed the defense to substitute each time there was a change in the eligible/ineligible declaration. I think one of the TDs against the Colts was supposed to be called back because one of the Pats didn't even declare. Rule change was probably to help the Refs as well.

Ifo Ekpre-Olomu (5'9 192 Oregon) - The shortest of the bunch but he did grade out as the best DB in college last season (read it recently, need to find the article)

    this article? http://www.footballoutsiders.com/futures/2014/futures-wr-brandin-cooks-vs-ifo-ekpre-olumu

Depending on his injury/recovery, I think he could be very good to cover the slot.
