even now the division is legit up for grabs and there's an, albeit slim, chance that we could win it. do we deserve to win it? nope...but neither does anyone else. right now we and the bucs are the toughest ones in the division. falcons are going to be losing more games. if we win out we could pull it off. it's not because of how "great" we are doing right now. it's more to do with just the division being so bad. i know some of you are saying we're still a couple years away from being able to win the division, but you aren't looking at how the rest of the division is doing and the shape they are in and right now it's looking like we are going to have the most momentum going into next year.

Don't think mingo was an issue in that regard. Just dead weight that another team wanted and paid a hefty price for because they thought they saw something special.

I think starting from the bottom of the hole they were in last year and climbing their way out the way they are together is what is going to be creating a winning culture. Tough times come, but when you start out in the tough times you'll better understand how to navigate every other time together. This struggle is the bonding experience needed to become a team that will be damn near impossible to beat.

they might still. i guess first thing is making sure we've got a returner. supposedly they have Mike Boone in mind for the #2 RB job. we'll see

that's what i'm seeing. i mean it's not impossible, the way that we and the rest of the division is playing, for us to squeak into the playoffs. do we belong in there? meh....no more or less than any of the rest of the division. we're the hot team right now. bucs beat us, but we were the better playing team out there. same was true against the chiefs and eagles. we squeak into the playoffs and we're causing problems.

not me. i hate losing. i'm tired of it. i'm ready for the wins.

who would have thunk that the ripples left by 9 and the panthers D could do so much mental damage? i love it. wins don't feel like wins because they know they barely escaped.

we're not. i play around with a playoff simulator when i'm REALLY bored (not as often as i would like, btw) and there's a few scenarios that it could work (getting into the playoffs). i mean the NFCS is a mess right now and we're actually looking like the toughest team in the division to beat.

i wouldn't hate that scenario at all. and then throw in JT @ TE and you're set. add in chuba and the soon to be bionic brooks with 9 at QB with that beast OL in front of him.....

i want to spoil as much as possible. i want every team we face, either on our turf or theirs, to know that we aren't ever lying down. that when we come in, you're getting punched in the face and then kicked in the nads and then kicked in the face. if you come up with a win against us, you won't feel like celebrating because you're going to be hurting too much and you'll still feel like you had your shorts dropped to your ankles after doing the polar plunge. the one thing you can count on is that after you play us, everyone leaves black and blue.

so the rest of the season you're sitting starters. that's how you do it? or do you intentionally call up bad plays? or do you pull players aside and tell them to half ass it? again, just trying to figure out how this tanking thing works.

i actually like the idea of the brown/tuttle/robinson front and was excited about seeing it. that said, i wouldn't hate if we brought in a better NT. Brown and Robinson are beasts, though. i feel really good about them.
