  1. Maybe it's just me, but I find threads the bot starts pretty entertaining. The (over)reactions I see make it completely worth the effort of opening and reading them.
  2. The joy I get out of it is that their talking to the pats was so much more embarrassing than either loss we had in the Superbowl... especially a worse loss to the pats. We would have won we're we not cheated (both times).they lost because they had an epic choke.
  3. i don't like our chances when we gamble with poo like that. as seriously as we have taken getting the interior OL right this year, you'd think we would take center more seriously. i have to imagine that we will be addressing it in the draft unless there's some OC FA gem they are waiting to hear about. Could be we will try to draft one and if not then we'll look into some other FA options.
  4. thanks for doing all that. I would like for us to draft a center. either one that can start early (mainly because corbett is just an unknown commodity there and he's had some injury issues) or one that can sit behind and learn and then take over. preferably the former. i agree taking a couple WRs and a CB are things that we have to do. Also picking up some ILB help is a bog thing to be looking at as well and there are some good options there. and yes, TE...we need some big time help there. there's a good few available in this draft that would be an upgrade for us. jared wiley would be great but there are a few that we would really benefit from drafting.
  5. contending for the division isn't that outrageous when you consider just how bad the division typically is. we've had teams win it with just 7 wins. bar isn't exactly all that high.
  6. that's kind of where my head is at now...the idea of Sweat on there with Robinson and Brown is just too awesome an idea. and then you've got Clowney coming off the edge...yow! i don't care who you put on the other side, damage would be done. OLs won't be able to deal with a front 3 like that.
  7. yeah it had been a while since smitty had done much. that last year he was here he got into more fights in games than he got into the endzone. then he waits until he faces up to go full smitty. i mean we had it coming (thanks for that gettleman).
  8. he would be pretty easy to scheme against, just run it his way all game and watch him jump out of the way.
  9. yeah, i hope i didn't just jinx us. the way the rest of my life goes i probably did.
  10. people will look at the overall production in their offense, especially in regards to the run game. he inherited a running game that was horrible and over the course of the year slowly got them up to respectable. he kept at it until they got it and sometimes that's what you have to do. I think he'll do the same thing here. We might not see dramatic improvements for the first half season, but as people finally have t light click on to what is expected of them things will get better.
  11. traditionally, the team you think will finish last comes up and wins it all...and they can do it with 9 wins because we suck as a division. a good bit of the time the team that finished last would finish first the next year and it was always someone different. it's always up for grabs.
  12. seriously...frikkin debbie downers trying to bust up our giddy.
  13. he might show up, but it won't be as embarrassing as Pepper's or Smitty's first game against us. Those we just painful.
  14. I don't follow basketball and barely know about these Ball kids, so i don't ever hear anything lol, but i get your point. i just think that Deion is a more constant and, for some reason, sought after presence than whoever that Ball guy is in NFL media. There's probably more hype around Sander's kids because of who their daddy is, just like little Archie than may be warranted. If Bryce sucks and we find ourselves in the QB hunt, i just hope we don't get sucked into that hype machine and only draft someone if they are legit.
  15. i hope Corbett can stay upright long enough and that he's good at the center thing. Limmer is one i wouldn't hate at OC. I think we've got a few decent options spread out through the draft.
  16. it's funny how you go through phases (or at least i do) where i see this one guy and think "he really needs to be here" so he shows up consistently in mocks. i'm leaning that way with Pearsall. There's quite a few WRs i like and would be great with them coming here, but for about a week now Pearsall is that guy for me. I want us to double dip (at least) at WR and i don't really care which one it is that we pair with him, as long as we can manage to get him.
  17. nice! it was kind of a sad thing when we let him go. just this constant ST presence there year after year. it was always funny those few times he would actually be out on the field and have the ball thrown to him and you remember, "oh yeah...he's a WR!"
  18. First post-clowney addition mock:
  19. Seriously that's pathetic.
  20. Sorry, my point was just that all QBs have things to work on and bad habits they pick up along the way that they were, for one reason or another, never quite coached on. In college, you might have had coaches with an NFL background, but you're in college and there's a limit to how much you can work with coaches. Coaches won't work on development like they do in the pros. They just don't have the time for it.
