  1. Obligatory reminder:

We’re prolly not playing many or any starters.

    Patriots will be, prolly.

Matt Rhule openly stated he thinks the reps in joint practice (simulated game situations) are more important than a vanilla preseason recital, so take that for what it’s worth.

They value the glorified joint practice more than this glorified dress rehearsal. Don’t expect anything from tonight’s performance except for some flash plays from some depth pieces here and there.

The NFL has basically came out and established their rules:

    1. Don’t be a white man and make offensive comments.

    2. Don’t mess with their money.

    3. Whatever a certain group of people are mad about that particular week on the news, don’t be a part of. (expires in 3 months)

Everything else under the sun is 100% fair game.

    Your white fragility is showing

Newton ran a Zone Read offense, not an RPO.

There are similarities, but they're not the same thing. RPOs have emerged more recently while use of the zone read has been significantly reduced  (at the pro level, at least).

Those of us who haven't been banned a dozen times or more by them might feel differently.

I have never caught a ban hammer (yet) and consider myself one of the more level posters here but sheesh. CRA is aight mostly but LG is a tired trope right about now.

It's always either "there's no QB worth drafting" or "all the QBs will be gone before we pick". According to the Huddle it's never the right time to draft a QB.

I’m firmly in the draft a high upside QB and swing for the fences camp. Willis all day. Even if it’s somehow Willis, Icky and Neal available when we’re picking.

Prior post regarding Joe Thomas and the browns was spot fuging on.

Did you read his post? This is what he said. "Under Rhule we've spent all our draft assets on D while trying to build an O off the NFL's trash heap."

We used a 2nd, and a 3rd on Offense. But I guess those 2 picks don't count. lol

How can we have 5 Offensive Draft picks, and at least 3 quality FA, while spending all our draft capital on D, and trash bin diving?

You folks kill me. Make up a fact, and expect to get away with it.

I agree with you and it’s fascinating. But be careful, LG nuked (not banned, but nuked) GJBC’s account and posting history and all threads he started because his fee fees got hurt.

Fitt just admitted in his last presser that they didn't bring in Russell Wilson when he was in Seattle so people would think they weren't interested

Smoke screen the smoke screen. I like it.

His nature. People are either calm, cool, and collected in pressure situations or they're not. I firmly believe that isn't a coachable trait. You have it or you don't.

You either approach things with aplomb or you don’t. You can’t teach it, but you can lose it, and if you lose it it’s damn hard to gain it back.

Does anybody know wtf is going on?? And why this is even a topic.....

No, but thread summary to save your time:

    - Zod whispers sweet nothings into our ear

    - Doom and gloomers flip out

    - LG does LG things (yawn)

    - Jon Snow still knows nothing

Steelers love Willis according to lots of draft Twitter I've seen. If they wanna move up ahead of, say, Atlanta, I'd absolutely trade down with them to get more picks to fix this roster. Especially if they're offering maybe their second this year and a first or second next year, which they might need to to move up from 20 to 6.

If they traded up that far for Willis while giving us picks, I'd be down for drafting Pickett or Corrall at 20 at that point. Other than that I still think the best bet is passing on this class and thinking long term.

Think of what the 49ers gave up to move from 12 to 3 to pick the 3rd QB of the draft. We can dream bigger, brother.
