KB, Hartline, draft pick, brown, Ginn/jacoby sound like a pretty good WR Corp to me.
-
I don't know who "you guys" are but Im not one of the people advocating every player cut to be brought on. I'd like either jacoby Jones or Ginn for return purposes/speed and I'd like Hartline because I believe he'd be beast playing with KB and olsen. Other than Jordan Cameron (if he can stay healthy) I don't feel one way or the other about anyone. We need speed I guess you miss that part coming out of Gettlemen and Rivera mouths..
I get tried of you guys falling for every name who gets cut..
How many good season has Hartline had.. What makes him better than what we already have?? Are question I have..
-
Even better.Yes actually he is. He is definitely one of the fastest white Wrs in the NFL
-
Benjamin is not a bolt of lightning either. Perhaps we should release him.Is he fast?? If not than no...
Just because we have a need for a speedy receiver doesn't mean we don't pursue a great one without speed.
-
Care to elaborate? We won't get neither of those guys.

Apparently Canty lives in charlotte. So there's that.Exactly. I still think Hartline can be productive enough for us and Canty is someone whom I've wanted.since before we drafted Star. Both of them fall into the area of FAs we'll be looking at.
-
Imo, this could fit gettlemen's bargain strategy perfectly. we won't overpay for Torrey smith or randall cobb. Hartline would be an excellent number 2.

Jarvis Landry is responsible for hartline's reduced role last year. He's a beast of a player and I would love to have him on the team.

I see getting out of this with 0-2 games suspended. Good for him. Good for us.
-
Fine. We will take their fifth round pick to take him. We could possibly settle for their sixth.

Everything phillyb said was correct. Keywords will be picked up by google regardless of whether it's twitter or a forum.First Mark's post was not different from his post. Also this is a forum not Twitter.
The most pertinent breaking news today was DWill's release. Well that's still by a random poster. Where is the consistency? If you want to talk business, being inconsistent will hurt you more than who opens a thread on a fan forum.
The appropriate keywords will achieve higher site traffic which result in more $$$$ for the owner.

June 1st cut saves us 2 mil this year.
non June 1st cut saves us 2 mil next year.
-
I had posted a mock draft of us getting him in the 3rd.
I remember getting reamed for it. "He will be there in the 5th" , " He's too short".
I'd love to be able to access it to see who needs to eat crow.
-
Hopefully for not much more than vet minimum. I'm not super impressed with the guy. There are a few options at KR/PR in the late rounds of the draft I hope we pull the trigger on.
-
Awesome news.
Some team will pay Hardy a mega deal now.
We will get a 3rd round compensatory pick for him.

I agree the passing game is a bigger need. I wouldn't advocate taking a RB in the first unless it was a can't miss player. But them again, we saw how that turned out with Trent richardson. However, I trust gettle and if he had this guy as his BPA at the end of round two I wouldn't hate the pick at all.A healthy Stew is one of the better backs in the league and his dead money is outrageous the next 2 season. . So yes cutting him any sooner will hurt bad..
A lot of teams are devaluing the RB position. . We are now on a watch to see if one will be drafted in the 1st round every year now..
I just don't want to put resources into a devalued position. . All the new rules are to help the passing game.. We need to be able to take advantage of that..
Last if you build a good oline you can get a Blount off the trash heep and win..
-
Two problems with the logic in your statement.Stew is 27 and we are paying him too much money in the next 2 years to cut him..So no matter the injury concerns he will be the starter if healthy. . And like I said we don't need to draft a future starter in the 1st 3 rounds.. RB position can be filled by later round picks... and it's the easiest position to come in and make a impact 1st year..
1. Just because someone is paid too much doesn't mean they start. If the rookie were to outperform, you bench your overpriced veteran. I actually think Stew I'd still one of the best when healthy, however that seems to be quite rare lately. Also history dictates a dropoff in performance from a RB stew's age soon.
Furthermore, he could be cut next year if needed, although I think his performance won't warrant it. If the rookie is the real deal, make him the backup this year and split the snaps next year to keep stew fresh.
2. This common theme that you don't draft a RB in the first three rounds is nonsense. If it were true, none of the 32 teams would draft a running back before round 3. Are there gems in round 4+? Absolutely, but for every gem, how many busts or simple backups? What about the ratio for running backs taken early?

Stewart has been injury prone and is pushing 30. Fizzy is decent and Tolbert wasn't exceptional last year. A young future starter would be great. He'd probably go in the first round most years.I'll be honest you will never convince me that picking a non starter at a devalued position in the 2nd round is a good pick..
What is it with you guys and your love for high round drafted RB's..

Done.You wanna bet our sigs?
Terms are if DGB is there at the first pick in the third. SIG for 2 weeks?
-
Wanna bet??Hahahaha
Oh, he'll be there in the second. He'll be there in the third as well.
-
I would like to trade back to the beginning of the second round and grab him. Way less risk with less guaranteed money and we pick up another third or fourth for the trade.
-
Agree with you 100%, but on another note we all know how Rivera plays favorites and had avant as our number 3 for half the season. Not to mention Corey missing a few games due to injury. Not saying he is the next Steve Smith (an odd comparison in my opinion, but I also think Corey's stats could have been much higher his rookie year, much like Steve amith could have been.Ok Igo this is a little misleading.. Serifert wouldn't play Smitty at WR.. And only use as a special teamer his rookie season..
So Corey did have better numbers but it wasn't because of talent... It was the fact Rivera gave him a opportunity while Serifert refuse to for Smitty ...
-
He will have over 800 all purpose yards next season. I'm willing to make a wager with anyone that's not high on him.

Being good has no bearing on cheating. Two separate discussions altogether.I envy an owner with (inflated) balls and a coach that well can coach. Say what you want about the Patriots, they are good regardless of the inflated/deflated situation.
