  1. We drafted Zeller over McLemore

And we made the right choice in doing so

    Zeller is better

Per 48 Mclemore is 17.4 ppg and Zeller is 15.6

This is with them having the exact same assists per game and Zeller far out rebounding per game per 48

Zeller is also a way better defender.

But yeah, keep drive by posting about crap you don't know what you're talking about lol

  2. crabtree is actually extremely underrated ... yeah if you judge him on his career numbers you won't be that impressed, but given he's played in kaeperdicks one read offense, he's played pretty incredible when his number has been called, and unfortunately, that was only in 2012.

    2012: Crabtree 85 rec, 1105 yards and 9 TD's

    2013: V. Davis: 52 rec, 850 yards, and 13 TD's

    2014: A. Boldin 83 rec, 1,062 yards and 5 TD's

Kaeperdick picks one receiver at the beginning of each year and that's the guy he'll throw to 80% of the time.

Give the guy a chance. He has some of the surest hands in the league and I think a change of scenery and a competent QB will bring out the best in Crabtree. Bring him in GMAN!

He also tore his Achilles after 2012 during the offseason, so that might have something to do with it.  A lot of SF fans say he hasn't been the same since then.

  4. apparently some people only see 0 tds when he was here and not the amazing field position he put us in time and time again. That is super valuable.

this is a VERY large upgrade to ST.  he posted his worst totals of his career last year and it was still a billion times better than us.

And just the fact that he actually knows how to field a punt goes a long way as well.

Even if he doesn't attempt to return one, just the fact he has the confidence to sprint up the field, call for a fair catch, and not let it bounce into our territory is huge.

  5. QUESTION: Do signing these players at the end of the 2014 NFL year hurt our chances to get comp picks next month?

    According to Voth, apparently not:

The Panthers targeted offensive tackle Michael Oher and Ginn early, hoping to land them by the time free agency opens Tuesday afternoon. Not only do they help in positions of need, but neither will count against Carolina’s potential compensatory picks next year. Last offseason didn’t go as planned for general manager Dave Gettleman, but so far he’s batting .1000.

  6. KB was frustrating at times, and probably left another 400 yards and 5 TDs or so on the field, but you also have to consider he walked into a situation day 1 that none of the other rookies did.

From the very first snap of his NFL career he was our clear cut #1 WR, and the whole NFL knew it and prepared for him that way.  He was already facing double teams in his first game.  Just after his preseason alone other teams knew he was going to be a threat.

Mike Evans started off slow, then had a stretch where he lit up defenses while he was still the #2.  Once defenses adjusted to him his production dropped greatly, and also had another threat in Vincent Jackson to help keep him clean.  Lol, and don't talk about garbage time and bring up a receiver that played on a team that is picking #1 overall in the draft.

Beckham, is a different beast... he just had a straight up special kind of year.  However, he also benefited for a bit there by coming in as an unknown and lighting it up.  He was still balling even after everyone in the NFL knew who he was.

  7. I don't understand the people acting like Ingram is a scrub... I hate to say it, but that is a really good deal for the Saints.

He's been in a crowded backfield on the most pass happy team in the league his entire career.  As they started going towards Ingram more towards the end of 2013, and 2014 he's looked pretty good IMO.

He's primed for what will probably be his best season yet this coming year now the he's going to be THE guy, and they probably start slowing down the passing game a tad now that Drew is getting older.

  8. Might want to check your facts there and look past the stats.

They most certainly did not beat us in 2009... that was a prime time beat down with Matt Moore at the helm. His touchdown you made sure to point out was a long swing pass in garbage time. When they were down 26-0. He was invisible in that game. Julius Peppers and Co shut his ass down.

And 2011? He got us good. No doubt. But I put no stock in that game. Not because James FUGING Anderson was our best defensive player. Not because Terrell McClain and Sione Fua were our DTs but because Olindo Mare missed a chip shot FG that would have tied it up.

You combine that with Jared Allen getting two strip sacks that set up his two scores and it's really a moot point.

AP hasn't done poo against us. Considering he's also soon to be 30 I would love to see him get traded to Tampa (preferably for their number 1) and watch them wallow in their own misery.

Yeah, my bad about 2009... I missed it and for some reason I thought we lost that game.  I just glanced at that stats while ago and got he scores mixed up.

Every time I think of us playing AP though I just remember 2011 where he ripped us a new asshole in the receiving game... even though we shouldn't have fugin' lost that game.  I just figured it was more of the same in the 2009 game.  AP going HAM in the receiving game.

  9. Interesting bit of useless trivia - in 4 career games against Carolina, he's not had more than 83 rushing yards, and the 2009 team held him to 35 yards on 12 carries.

In that 2009 35 yard rushing game, he also had 73 yards receiving (24.3 average per reception) and a touchdown

In the 2011 83 yard rushing game, he also 76 yards receiving and two touchdowns

We lost both, and Adrian Peterson was a huge reason why.

2008 and 2013 were his worst games against us, and he still got 77 yards rushing in 2008, and 62 yards rushing with an additional 21 yards receiving in 2013.

Those aren't bad games by any means.  He's went well over 100 yards in 2 games, and right around 80 in the other 2.

  10. EA wants to do a lot more in the game but the NFL won't let them. Protecting the shield everywhere.

Yeeeeah, I don't believe that for a second.  That's probably some load of crap a Madden representative put out there.  That still doesn't explain the fact that Madden routinely removes features, only to bring them back a couple of years later and tout them as "all new features" to hype up the product.

There was some bull about the NFL didn't want EA to put tattoos in the game... but lo and behold Kaepernick got his tattoos in.  Turns out that EA just doesn't want to go through the trouble of getting licensing to use the player's tattoos (and individually map them to the players) or potentially pay the original artist their money for using their work.  2K sure has no problem putting in tattoos and they do fine.

I still play it, but Madden is an EXTREMELY lazy product for such a high profile game and brand.  They just now started to put in some modicum of an effort to make the faces looks somewhat like the actual player... something that should've been done years ago, and they're still a good ways off.

But they have a monopoly on the NFL license, and people buy the poo out of it though, so don't look for it to change any time soon.
