So many are just overreacting to overreact now.  Have they done some stupid things?  Definitely.   Improve the oline in the offseason and try to figure out the solution for qb and the pieces are already in place to be a borderline great team.  An offensive coordinator who knows how to adjust and be balanced would make a huge impact as well.

    Is that you Matt Rhule?

He could be a complete bust and you will still be making excuses for him.    See how that works.   It’s funny that you think you are smarter then all the nfl insiders, scouts and teams.    Howell is just not viewed as high as you think he should be.   It’s like that dude last year who had the hard on for trask.

How many high end 1st round prospects have these insiders and scouts produced lately? Are the percentages in their favor?

It boils down the our major weakness since 2018, a lack of consistent QB play. Some unpreventable...and some due to poor personnel evaluations.

Cam got hurt midway thru 2018 and we had to rely on a backup.

Cam only played two games in 2019. Ended the season with a backup.

Both Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen have shown enough in Washington to disprove they were the issue.

We had Teddy Bridgewater in 2020. He's not the worse QB on the NFL by a longshot. But, he isn't exactly Mr.Clutch. Carolina lost 8 games by one score or less on 2020 with a shot to win each one one in the 4th quarter and Teddy couldn't manage one win.

TB is something like the most efficient QB in the NFL right now isn't he. He wasn't the solution but he wasn't the problem.

We pinned our hopes on Sam Darnold in 2021. He became a turnover machine after week 3. PJ Walker has a live arm but he throws too many INTs and and doesn't know how/when to give up on a play. Cam is far removed from his 2015 MVP season, and he joined the team in the middle of the season which makes it even more difficult for him.

Sam still hasn't had the right coaching or protection to develop. It takes a lot to overcome horrible OL play combined with a fuged offensive game plan. I'm not defending the decision to bring him here. I actually think his failure is a bigger knock on Rhule/Brady/Ryan.

I think all of the above would have benefit from a better O-line. But, they have  all made some bad throws and poor decisions that have cost us some games. The upper echelon QBs would be more successful here despite the O-line deficiencies because they have the ability to elevate the play of their teammates. None of our QBs have been able to do that since 2018.

If Cam had an offseason with us I might start to begin to look at his issues but this team is in such disarray overall its way deeper than the QB room.

We couldn’t get off the field on 3rd down in 2020 and when Horn was playing we got off the field on 3rd down

I completely agree with this and still love the Horn pick.

Unfortunately we've traded getting off the field on 3rds to staying on the field for the stretch because our defense can't adjust to the run at the second level.

We need an OL and to find a game manager at MLB. Maybe one of our young guys can progress into that role?

Well, he already has chemistry with CMC and DJ.

just comes down to the playbook.  Given Brady is a college guy? I would think they can make a simple game plan for the WFT game.   Some RPO stuff that gives the simple plan some options.

This. We need to simplify the damn play calling anyways and come up with some easy completions. Even if they are for 3-4 yards. Up the middle, completions are contagious, spread the field. Robby on back to back to back quick slants.

Rivera bastardized it. It needs to be taken back and turned back into a winners mentality instead of a losers mentality.

    This.

Also they need to re-release the OG Keep Pounding bracelets. Mine finally broke after years of use and I cant find them anywhere.

  7. The virtual Panther jumping around the stadium was cool. It was almost scary how fast they were letting people through security. Don't get me wrong I have no problem not standing in line forever but it was odd. New company trying to prove they are better than ShowPros? Some of the food/beverage vendor stations were closed the entire game. The "brand new" TVs in the concourse aren't any bigger and they were having audio/video connection issues from what I saw. Upper level ran completely out of water and ice around half time. Staff had no idea what to do. Fans were wandering around trying to find any non-alcoholic cold beverage they could get their hands on or just leaving the game altogether in frustration.

Does it make you feel better about yourself to just blindly suck up what these people say in the media and apply zero critical thinking to the subject?

So Instagram and SI are just in on this to get a little extra money in their pockets? Really?

They are falsifying DMs and corroborated stories? Putting their entire existence on the line?

    Apply critical thinking and respond...

the more that comes out about this, the less i want him here

no way id ever trade multiple 1st rounders for this guy

hes making $40m a yr and is causing all this headache for the people paying him that absurd cash

    Scott Turner's burner account?

You don't like it when players have self-respect and disagree with how badly an organization is being run?

That’s not how a clause works. It must be mutual. That trade clause also gives the Texans the ability to not trade him - period. No matter how much he wants out. Watson must work with the Texans in order to be traded and most likely provide a reasonable list of teams. The Texans aren’t simply going to take one single option and whatever the lowest bidder is willing to give because Watson says so. What’s the point in that? They don’t HAVE to trade him. They’d probably go back to Watson and say they’re not trading him because his ONE team won’t give reasonable capital and he’ll need to provide a list of teams.

Why is this so hard for people to understand? You think the Texans are seriously just going to say fug what we could get for him let’s let him do whatever he wants for whatever in return lol.

I understand how the clause works. At the end of the day Watson and his agent hold the power. Yes the Texans could decide not to trade him, but realistically what are they going to do? You honestly think there is any way he stays in Houston? Have you ever seen a marque player stay with a team after tensions publicly escalate to this point? It's very realistic that Houston will have no option but to accept the best deal Watson allows or risk having to release him with nothing to show for it.

People don’t seem to realize the Texans FO will have some say and Miami and Jets will offer a much better deal.

I've been lead to believe Watson has a trade clause that gives him the ultimate say in where he is going. So unless this is false info Miami and NY can offer all they want but if Watson doesn't want to play there it isn't happening.

Hell yes.  Don't underestimate getting a 2nd or 3rd from HOU in return.  They're going to be awful next year.  A 2022 2nd is basically a late 1st and their 3rd a late 2nd.

So we get rid of TB, use our 2021 1st & 2nd basically on Watson.  Still have 3 picks in the top-80ish for 2022 and offset the 1st for a 4th in 2023.

Packaging our 2021 second rounder is the stinger in this but I'd do it.

    This, this and this.
