  1. I remember really wanting Isiah Simmons or Jeff Okudah in that draft class, and was kinda pissed we drafted ANOTHER DT early after Star and Vernon Butler in the previous years.

But man has this dude improved each year and is easily a Top 5 DT in the NFL.

I beleive last year was a first to where on defense I stayed focused on a DT throughout the play. Was kinda fun to be more engaged in that part of the field as a fan.

He is the best coach we have but…

we are still 30th in points allowed and 32nd in  takeaways.

our overall yardage allowed is a little distorted IMO

    You are right.

Just to play devils advocate, I would say its hard to be overly aggressive on defense to force turnovers when you know you cannot afford to give up big plays due to an inept offense.

But for sure the defense is not perfect.

  3. I think Evero needs a round of applause for the work he has done this season.

Panthers Defense has been OUTSTANDING this season IMO. Considering Shaq got hurt, offense never gave them any help, jaycee was in and out all year, etc, etc, etc. I think his job holding that unit together is admirable and we haven't heard much praise directed to him this year and he deserves it.

I also don't think it's a coincidence that Derrick Brown’s performance EXPLODED this year, and he ended up having a historic season. The defense was just the one thing I felt super confident about most of the year, did not start off that way but ended up with a lot of trust in them as a unit.

There were some bad of course, but I just think overall he has done exceptional. IMO, if anyone is deserving of the HC job it's him.

  4. "Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not a truth."

Keep this in mind as you scroll this dumpster fire of a forum. Most "prognosticators" on here want to write off a 20 year old who has been given an insurmountable task. And it sure as poo isnt going to help if most of the fan base turns on him after 3 starts.

For those of you who want to keep some reason in mind, go look at Peyton Manning, Drew Brees or Josh Allen's stats thier rookie years. And for those who like instant gratification, look at Jameis Winston or Jared Goff. Great rookie seasons but lack luster afterwards considering where they were drafted. I could go on and on with examples, but if you need more then there is no help for you anyways.

Sometimes it takes a while, sometime it doesnt. A good season early in the career means about as much as a terrible one. Bryce needs weapons, a Front Office who will help him and some fans with patience and perspective.

Right now he has none of those. Lets change that shall we?

  5. I dont think the switch from 4-3 to 3-4 is the issue, I think its that we cant stop teams running on us.

Granted Burns and Houston wasnt out there, but even last year we got torched on the ground and I dont see a pick or signing this offseason to correct it.

  6. Reddick made his presence FELT. Burns just doesn't, seems to be a lot of sacks at times when momentum has already swung in our favor or the game is out of reach. I cannot think of one game in 4 years that he has TAKEN OVER the game and was the reason we won. And now we are going to HAVE to pay him big money for 9-12 sack a season that means nothing.

    And P.S.

He sucks at run defense too

  7. High expectations come with a 23 mil cap hit next year....

Shaq takes a lot of poo on this site but he's a really good player. We could do a lot worse than Shaq.

I think as a fanbase we have developed some unrealistic expectations at the LB position due to being spoiled with all time greats. Luke, TD, Beason in his prime, Morgan when healthy. Shaq is a damn good player and its kind of a shame to see how people talk about him on here sometimes.

  8. Doesn't look like we are getting Stroud or Bryce. I am 1000% on board with rolling with PJ and Corral next year, see how Corral does and then make your decision on the QB position next year.

    Reason being;

    - Not a fan of any of the QBs this year

    - Solidify another position through the draft or trade back this year

    - Potential to draft Drake Maye or Harrison Jr. (depending on Corral situation) next year

I think it will ultimately come down to the HC, if its Wilks idk if he can afford another bad season but maybe he rolls with an offensive scheme similar to what we are doing now. And if we hire a new coach, he almost certainty will push to draft a QB this upcoming year.

    17. DT Daviyon Nixon: 50.7
    18. S Sean Chandler: 47.1
    19. LB Cory Littleton: 38.6
    20. LB Shaq Thompson: 37.6
    21. CB CJ Henderson: 29.3

At what point will we realize Shaq is a bust. Dude has never stood out except for a few times a year when Luke was there to tell him what play was being ran by the offense. Good leader, average player, not worth 24 mil next year

Yardage has never been a problem with Moore. Take the guys that you put him in the company of and compare scores. That's where the issue is. Sure he's had sketchy QB play, but he's put up yardage as I would expect for the leading receiver on a team. Now, he must translate that to scores before I'm putting him in such company. Maybe I'm old school, but that's just the way I see it.

With that logic than Julio Jones is no good, huh?
