  1. To get away from moronic bullshit, the Panthers run game is incredible to watch if you're not one of those that drools so hard over the passing game. Hell, we haven't even ran a lot of the triple option stuff we ran in Cam's first couple of seasons much this year. Every run play features a lot of Cam sliding protections, checking the runs, and then the handoff itself. It's a dream to watch, it's so good we have the number one offense, which is unbelievable in this era of the NFL.

It wasn't a miracle. We had just tied the game and would have had all the momentum going into overtime at Arrowhead.  It's amazing how little some of you guys know about the Broncos or the sport for that matter.   I bet you know a lot about NASCAR and college basketball though.

Momentum isn't a thing, ask the Packers. You shouldn't brag about knowing a lot about football if your retort includes mentioning something that isn't even real. Nice jab there too, that's always a great strategy when you're trying to get your point across.

  3. I've watched a good bit of Broncos this year (they play on tv all the time) and while their defense is pretty good it doesn't really strike fear in many people. Pittsburgh (mostly Antonio Brown) really smoked them in the second half of their regular season game, and I watched Derek Carr drive the field pretty well against them in the second half of the game they lost to the Raiders. They aren't the '85 Bears, '00 Ravens, or '13 Seahawks. They can be beaten, and I really think we are the kind of team that can do it.

Because it's the NFL, and it's the playoffs, and the last time we had a "championship" team we promptly forgot that we were a running team and got blown out on our own field?

I'm not saying that we can't win, and I think that we are the better team, and possibly the best team in the NFL.

What I am saying is we have won 1 playoff game in 10 years, and that was last year, against a QB that until a week or two ago couldn't find a backup spot in the NFL.

I'm excited, I'm happy, and I'm super proud of my Panthers, but man the bravado in here is a little crazy.

We were one game away from having a top 3 regular season ever, and we were only the 6th team to ever go 15-1 (7th if you count 15-1 or better), we scored the most points in the NFL, and so many other things. You can be damn sure that if roles were reversed here Seattle and their fans would be even more unbearable than they already are. Seriously, if there is ever a time to have some bravado this is the fuging year.

  5. I like Romo because his story is awesome and on any other team he would be a very likable guy. He was undrafted and has turned into a damn good quarterback. I honestly feel bad for him that he has to play for that shitshow that is the Cowboys, everything he does is unfairly scrutinized one way or the other.

  6. The Blair witch project was utter crap to me. I didn't see it in theaters but I saw it when I was about 17 at a friend's house. Boring. As. Hell. Nothing happens for 90 minutes and I'm supposed to poo my pants?

    Psh.

Jaws is just a great movie that instills a sense of dread and anticipation because you don't see the damn shark until towards the end of the movie. You see things from the shark's perspective, hear that iconic music, and then see a fin. It's what you don't see that makes it scary. Your mind fills in the blanks and makes things scary for you.

The original Saw was a great mind fug of a horror movie, and that twist ending. The sequels are all just gore porn, but they don't take away from how awesome the first one was.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Poltergeist yet. That's a classic and killed off half the people that worked on the movie.

The Descent is solid and it was filmed in NC. People should check that one out.

The Babadook is another good one. More recent, not sure who all has seen it yet.

The top hat he is is top notch, that movie is pretty solid for a horror movie (I'm not a big fan of the genre).

  7. No one is defending Al, but this is where you and the rest of the biz crowd are making the wrong argument. The improvements we had when Al wasn't in doesn't mean Biz is somehow good, it just means Al and his ball stopping was that bad. No one was making this argument when Al was making an All-NBA team, we're they?

IMO both should have been shipped out to completely overhaul the center spot with a guy like WCS (or in this case, see what Frank's got) but the team wants to stave off the inevitable rebuild another year.

This basically. I think Biz will be a good backup center for a while, but that's all. I'm very worried about our center position.
  8. So I'll say something to both sides. I like Biz, but he isn't elite defensively. He is elite at blocking shots, there is a difference. I remember a Detroit game where he gave up 4 or 5 lobs to Drummond. Now of course Drummond is good, but that's not something an elite defender would do. And to those saying it's smart, please elaborate. We're over the cap, this frees up no space and doesn't make any sense at all to me. Long term I don't think it effects us much, but it's still a puzzling move

  9. Honestly so many are overrating the guy like he's Bill Russell. I'd rather have him on the roster for defense, but hell. He's not. Time to get the hell over it and see which bigs can be ours for the future.

It's not really that, it's that we are over the cap anyway so there is literally no negative in extending the QO to him.

  10. Yes, please.  Proudiddy had a couple of nice threads over on Hornets Planet and I wanted to request the same level of conversation over here on Teh Huddle, but didn't out of respect to HP.

S/O to Omega A's blog entry. Very solid.

Any way we could patch-in the HP crew????

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I plan on writing a salary cap breakdown once we make a decision on the QO's for Biyombo and Jeff Taylor.
