  1. WTF!!!!!! You want Amini on the field???!!!!

    nooooo, hell NO.

I want him to step the F up and win the backup LT. I've defend plenty of panther players over the years, but I always bust aminis' balls. He sucked so bad it made jgross look below average. Once Wharton took over, gross looked like a all-pro and made all-pro. Amini proved he can't play OG, maybe just maybe he can save early 2nd rounder face by being a backup...

Plus the way it looks right now, its either Nate "I'm a DT" chandler or amini......

  2. They're going to tag him for 2016, at the same time start looking for another QB. Wilson you are the luckiest QB in league and I'm not talking about having the best running&defense in the league. I've seen wilson throw away passes that where caught for big yards and pull prime Vick escapes for big yards. He rarley throws over 300 yards, I believe only twice last year(same as passed years). Teams don't overpay future years, cause they got a bargain on rookie deals.

Dare I say culter for a 4th at seasons end?

  3. 21 is fair(lol), but I'd like to know the amount of signing bonus and guarantees.

If signing is 20+ and guar is 50+, he should take the deal and be verrrrrrrry thankful.

You can't win in this without a QB, IMO there are around 15 who can win suparowls, like it or not Wilson proved he is one. Granted to took the leagues best defense and running game, hes very lucky to land in best situation by far for a QB.

I believe his main problem is his agent is trying to recoup money form years played on a third rounder contract.

  4. I havnt been able to sleep for weeks, reason being "cracker" barrel....... I've been leading protest groups across in efforts to stop this great evil. My Facebook and twitter groups grow by the thousands each day!!!!! So pls sign up guys [email protected] and [email protected]. I tried to get matching names, but some genius already took my twitter one.

After we win this and we will. Then next mission is take up the railroads and disassemble the pyramids cause slaves built them.

  5. I havnt, but I'm not going to bitach.

The only thing I like about frank is he piss off the other team. In a sense of showing respect, frank had that effect on teams that played against him. They pratice , got coached up, and read the scouting reports on how to stop frank, cause if you did that greatly increased your chance to win. It rarely happened and it pissed off the team that a goofy white boy took them to school.

  6. Wow this helps make up for the talent trade off in the lance deal. Sure lance was a tumor, but he was a talented one. Hawes and lamb is much better than hawes&barnes. This is where cho shined in the pass, this is more like the cho I want running the team..... now if he could just fix the drafting part....

  7. I've heard beane is a numbers wiz, along with having a great understanding of the cap. Like peeps praise dave for re worked contracts, but that's was all beane master plan before dave got. It started once Cam showed the world 2011 week 1. The johnson restructure the lasted two years, pushing left over cap space to next year - all beane. He knew cap hell was coming and knew they where going to need big money for cam, then luke etc. So long dave stays sharp&healthly plus teaches him tape/the science of football, I got no issues with giving the keys to beane. Dealing with contracts/cap is a huge part of being a successful GM, right now beane got that part down.

  8. I actually went to App State while Presley was playing there. Started at QB, moved to CB.... He is a true athlete. He was a really fluid player... But him as a WR, is very new to him. If he can refine his skills, thats great.... But he has played 3 different positions now, over the course of just a few years. He was benched as QB his senior year, and then put at corner just because he was one of our best athletes.

With that said, it's going to be hard for him to make this roster after bringing in all these receivers, many of whom have more experience than him. Does he even have good hands? I have no idea.

Edit: And he ran a 4.64... You can argue he plays a little bit faster, and is more agile than quick.... But his measurables, 5'10" and a 4.64 with limited receiver experience... Does not bode well. He was coming out of college as a CB... Again, he just keeps getting moved around. To put him out there instead of Ginn, Brown, Hill, Boykin, hell even this South Carolina track star...... He is going to have to really have an impressive camp.

There where reports that he was giving the 1st defensive problems as he ran for the scout team. Now i understand at that time he had fresh legs, still thats a little impressive. He's truly a perfect PS cause he can play so many spots as you named. He can even get some run as a punt returner and kickoff returner.

He's got that smoke screen/bubble screen in his game. He is slippery and in space giving DBs problems. I cannt name another on this roster that does that. Panthers need/want a player like that, for the same reasons as funch- Matchups. Who knows injuries happen and the panthers could carry 6/7 WRs. I put his chances around 10% making the team and 95% making PS.

  9. I have always thought that drafting and acquiring smart players via FA is one of the reasons why Bill Belichick and the Pats have been successful for such an extended period. Football IQ and instincts should not be understated.

Yes bill does in fact value football IQ, it can easy be seen as one of reason for success.

Its a different game now, I've heard more than a few older players talk about the "classroom/studying" side of nfl is currently insane. The newest CBA limits 2-a days, well truly it limits football strange as it seems. If you're at BOA for 8 hours and get only "practice" in pads for 90 mins plus lift for 90 mins. That leaves around 4-/+ hours in doing study hall stufff. Even some days its 7 hours full classroom.

So in the current nfl, it feels much like school all over again.

Edit: dave is a former teacher too.

  10. I know what you mean, and how you feel. :thumbsu:

However, players and drafts aren't always simple math,. black and white and linear things.

Sometimes the impression a player makes on the team, and how they feel they will said player will fit into their scheme's (along with some football and athletically) can be equally as important.

This is why every draft year, there's tons of formerly highly regarded players who disappoint, and other 'lightly regarded' players who are considered steals.

Unfortunately/despite what they want us to believe (he media), it's not a predictable science. Happens every year.

NFL Brass, who get judged on this stuff much more severely than the normally wrong media, can attest to this.

You understand and yes when humans are involved its not black and white simple math.

Dave and crew deserve respect, which I'm giving plenty of to go along with this super suspect draft.

  11. So, would you rather have them go off someone Else's success or draft board!? :startle:

I wonder, how that would have went over with The Huddle and Panther fans? :phew:

All jokes aside: It's easy to knock a front office when their pick don't work out. However, based off the Panthers recent track record, I'll give a wait and see attitude, or the benefit of the doubt. :thumbsu:

Nah I prefer dave stickin to whatever he was going the last two years. Rather than this weird unusual draft. Trading 6 for 2, blah blah dines for quarters blah blah. I do understand he wasn't a big fan and did bring up jr staying + 3-4 defensive players. Just hope drink in his kool kid didn't kill this draft class is all.

I'm going to wait til one full season and the following offseason, before I start judging this class. I believe they will need longer, still those are my terms.

  12. I agree with football IQ being overlooked, not only by fans by scouts, GMs, coaches too.

My opinion of the draft is dave and crew starting believing his hype. Got faaaar too cute this year with thinking they where smarter than everyone else. With the last two years of success, its hard not patting yourself on the back and getting a big ballon head.

This pick more than shaq, will determine whether its a winner or flat out bust draft class. They moved ahead of the falcunts&iants to prevent this so called seconded coming of jimmy graham. We will see how the great shula using graham 2.0 aka funchess.

Lastly they are putting a lot stock into what each on the " board " in one day. We'll see if it was a fluke or real football smarts.
