  1. Cooper- 3-8

    White - 3-6

    Parker - 6-12

    Strong - 20-45

    Agholor - 13-50

    Perriman - 10-36

    Smith - 27-60

    DGB - 5-40

    Dorsett - 18-45

    Coates - 30-75

    Funchess - 66-100

    Hardy - 46-110

Edit; moved agholor down some, hype train too strong. Plus hardy, he's legit. Some team MAY fall in love and spend a mid 2nd.

  2. I wouldn't bet my life on someone not finding out if there was actually some type of visit in this day of social media, but perhaps you're right. Maybe tape and a phone call sufficed.

Snake and rayor hit on etc ie skype, which doesn't count....... but you can go over playbook and even write up plays via white board.

I do know for a fact some teams request the player NOT to report any type of meeting, tryouts, or contact. Pats are for sure one of the teams that use this method. Problem is agents........ its their job to get the client paid the most. So theyre the main ones releasing tryouts and meetings. You can image what happens after a pats tryout gos public after them trying to super ninja about it.

  3. If he's healthy, why not? My only issue would have been STs, but with dave fixing that no issue with a one year deal. Yes he is old, but after norman, white(some don't like him), and bene what's leftd? No one but a UDFA and a ST/WR......

Remember dayton flouance (sp) , he was a oooooold timer that looked great behind the 2013 front 7. Tillman is 2x he was.

  4. This may or may not be true.. Luke, Kalil, Beason, Stewart are some names that come to mind that probably werent our biggest needs at the time.

I've actually wondered if our drafts would be much different if Hurney were still here.. With Don Gregory and the other scouts still here, I've wondered how much they factor into the decision that gets made. I remember an interview with Gettleman saying that Don Gregory was a big part in the KB pick, and he predicted that KB would be available.

I'm not saying Gettleman isn't light years ahead of Hurney because I think that he is. Obviously, Gettleman is so much better at evaluating talent, not overpaying, building for the future, and building the lower half of the roster (which in my opinion is the biggest part of being a good GM), as well as every other aspect of being a GM.

I believe dave took need out of their grading formula, just my opinion. Sort a like building a bran new roster, who's the pick then? Then that opens up position value. OG, FB, long snapper don't have the value of QB, OT, or DE. Dave is a big believer in DL, most smart GMs are. DL are heavily rotated, so you do need more than two or even three. Same for other spots DBs, WRs, and RBs. Got two stud WRs, drafting another isn't going to prevent you form playing 3WRs sets. 3rd and 25, put 4 DEs out there to rush the QB. Snaps can go around and be shared.

Lastly injuries happen, sad part of the game. And with free agency there's so much turnover now. If you go back and look at the final 53 roster form 2012 to 2013, nearly 50% new players. Take the best player cause a pro-bowler beason can get hurt and greg hardys do leave via FA.

  5. If you think for a second that Cam could march into The Big Cat's office and demand a coaching change, you haven't been following the Panthers very long.

JR would tell him to close the door on his way out, and that would be the end of it. The NFL isn't the NBA, or for that matter the MLB. Very few players have the ability to even consider what you suggested.

Can't really compare basketball to football though. In the NBA, the star players absolutely run the league without question.

In the NFL, the star players get a lesson in revenue charts while their players' union gets its ass kicked by the owners.

Yea, you guys are right. I'm going full PU....... with cam going to jerry demanding a huge change. Jerry has changed tho, I didn't think he would fire his sons and the nfl is changing too. Its always easier to fire a coach than the whole team(plus stud QB >>> coach unless bill bilacheat) I do believe if kalil, TD, luke, cam, and olsen as a group asked for _________ it would happen. Group " we want a cherry icey machine " within 24 there's one in the locker room.

  6. In the worst draft in 15 years, old herniay traded a first rounder for the right to draft brown in the second round(41st pick i think). Need that good old "brillant" beer gif.....

Not all teams will have only 16 first round graded players. I believe the value or deepest part of the is around the 4th. Sadly I think the value ends once the panthers 5th rounder starts.

  7. Chip wants the "prefect" solider. No questions, no pausing, no thinking, just doing what you are told to do. Which in todays world with players salaries at insane amounts, its near impossible. Its the main reason nick is at bama, that system still works in college. There you more control over the player, you can take away(aid, food, free ride, girls, car, etc etc) and stop the "payments".

Players have more power these days. Think about this, lequeen calls the shots in cleveland, kobes has to approve everything, albert haysworth controlled the owner, so many more. Another rumor I heard peyton wanted fox gone or he was going to retired. Think about this, cam gos to jerry and states " I'll resign here for 7 years only if u fire ron and hire gus...." so long ron, thanks for everything.

Its balancing act now, you MUST have talent to win. With todays players that comes with super egos and other big problems. "Im feeling tired today coach, so I'm taking the day off" said 100 million dollar man. Players are sooo lazy these days, everything they do is 5x easier than old school training camp. Pads and contact are nearly gone, no more 2-a days either.

Chip is trying to find young guys aka robots on cheaper deal to follow his no question rule set.

  8. They dont have him rated that highly, most of the mocks Ive done on this site has him lasting into the 50's.

I think out of 15 or so over the last week, he's either available at 57 or was drafted between 50-54.

I'm not even a big perriman fan, but the hype train is going strong currently. There's talk form more than a few hes going 10-20 range, the mock drafts lack behind normally. I hope so, that pushes up some others in doing so.

I even did another draft, used cbs sport and got kevin white in the 1st. I should have passed on him, cause its pointless to continue. Who knows, players do drop. My dreamy draft is dreamy.

  9. The trades totally ruin it for me, sorry guys. Most of these are unreal to start with, then the trades make them waaaay worse. In my mock there's no chance perriman is there @ 57, or ajayi @ 89. 1-5 picks has too much luck involved, most will be gone 40 picks before my picks. Just say no the trades.

  10. I would rage like super feggit, but not on here or twatter(by myself crying in the shower).

I've already excepted daves picking DL, so Im ready......... much prefer WR, DBs, or OT in ALL early rounds. Avoid OG, RB, LB til round 5 comp. 6/7 are made for STs, I no longer care much about these picks. In the past for some odd reason they always pissed me off.

BPA within reason/logic(no QBs/MLB early) is the best solution each round. Starting in round 5 comp, I don't care if the picks are punter and QB.

  11. But no matter what you aren't playing long in the NFL without hands and route running. Technique and smarts get you open just as well if not better than pure speed.

Yea, its part of formula. Speed, routes, smarts, but brick hands you're just as worthless as hands, routes, smarts, but slow as turtle. Just get open and catch the ball, that's the name of the game. Out smart, better tech, quicker out of the brake, faster etc. Give the QB a target and catch it. then worry about yac and not fumbling.

Technique rules all in the nfl.

  12. Like LG stated is part of formula.

Before this, I'll say jerry rice had joe cool, young, and gannon(not fair but still). And a genius that invented a offense that completely changed the nfl. Mix that with his work elthic and you have the goat. Perfect storm.

Injuries happen and when they do on the lower half, you lose speed. If you start out very fast and lose some, you're still fast. You're average and lose some, you're out of league. You can run perfect routes, perfect hands, non-diva and super football smart...... but your best 40 is 4.87. It will not matter cause you'll never get open. In 2.5 seconds he must be able to get open, or the QB is getting sacked.

I use cbs sports, which is the fairest imo.

Very very very happy with the results. Dave better watch out my arm chair fa speak too strong. Stuck to BPA each round, got lucky too.

  14. Jay Ajayi in the second is fine.

Jay Ajayi would be great in the second

My fav RB in the draft and I'm one of anti-RB crew. If you could convince me gurly will have a long nfl career with very minor injuries, Id be on his bandwagon. I don't want to waste a pick on a RB til the 5th truly..... but if ajayi somehow makes it the panthers second round. I wouldn't be that upset, I guess.>_>
  15. This guys change of direction is very impressive.

Guys all it takes is one team to fall in love, I don't think he's a first....... but some scouts/coaches/GM may. I do question why miami didn't involve him a LOT more. Id throw smoke routes and WR screens to him until they either stopped it or dorsett got winded. I know he will not be there @57.
