  1. I dont think many people on here really understand what type of damage a top-5 DE, in his prime, well-rested while brewing and stewing over having his pride and brand tarnished over a year and a half can unleash when the reigns are taken off.

Oher better put a circle around Thanksgiving and better not be thinking anout pumpkin pie until after the game is over.

  2. Doubt he will be a force if that is his first game back. He wont be in football shape since he can't practice during that time. I imagine he will appeal it and might very well get it reduced though.

Think he had a sack and a ff his first game for us las year. Hes the friggin Kraken.

  3. "You talkin' about weed? We talkin' about weed?!...Come on man!"

    not gonna quote the rest.

I dont see KB as a #1, I mean, he can certainly cut it, regarding the roster, but I would much rather see him as a Moose #2 who is a dangerous possession receiver and a deadly red zone threat.

DGB is one of the few receivers that could be available to us at #25 who could possibly supplant KB as our #1.

I mean, Cam with thise 2 and Olsen?! Fuggetaboutit...if Cam has to run, he's gonna have no problem getting big gains with thise 3 and a healthy RB + a slant receiver helping to clear out another lane.

Get it done...everybody deserves a second chance, and adding another super-sized, comic-book real-life human and freak athlete sounds mighty-nice.

Name another team that has 4 offensive playmakers 6'4+ and over 230 that even have a shot at having the ball in their hands on any given possession. srsly

  4. Shaq Attack...Smoothest player in all come drills and if there's a true football player in this draft, it's this guy. He's a baller and plays multiple positions where we need an upgrade...including running back.

  5. Put DWill behind the Cowboys line last year and he'd have gained 1300 yards.

Hint, my priority is on oline early.

Deangelo missed half the season being injured so did Fozzy and even though we were playing struggling teams at the end of the season, there weren't many players that had the success that we had running the ball with Stew and Fozzy.

we could draft a RB to eventually replace Stewart, but what would be the point when we have stew, Fozzy and reaves...not to mention Cams rushing ability..

I really liked what I saw from Fozzy...he hits the holes hard and has great balance and runs downhill.

and as it is well known, RBs are a dime a dozen. Fozzy outshines DLo and actually hit the holes rather than trying to run into the back of his OL for no gain.

  6. man I hope Stephen Hill can come out and be our #2 receiver. He has all the tools...6'4" 215, fast, physical and coached up.

His physicality could counteract our weak pass blocking as he can use his frame to get position on DBs.

would make the perfect possession receiver and is in the system. if the coaches and FO believe in this guy to get the job done, we don't need to draft a WR as we already have Ginn, Corey and Bersin that can be moved around for 4-receiver sets.

would be nice to use our draft picks on the trenches and filling weaknesses in our secondary, special teams and that elusive dynamic OLB and replacement for CJ and TD.

  7. Fozzy gets no love around here. I distinctly remember Getts telling DLo he was getting cut because we aren't planning on running as much.

    plus we have Darrin Reaves.

Not that I think we couldn't use another RB for backup, but after watching FOZ running North South and catching a pass out of the backfield for a score, the answer is definitely on the roster.

  8. Ginn was injured at the Combine so didn't run, but at his Pro Day ran a 4.38

Philly ran a 4.51 at Combine then 4.52 at Pro Day

Especially considering that Ginn turns 30 in 2 weeks, those two aren't even in the same stratosphere as Dorsett when it comes to speed

that is real speed for sure, but can he block and be physical at the line of scrimmage? can he use his body to get separation and can he climb the ladder to get to the high point?

DBs give cushions for a reason and they do it to keep from getting burned. Cushions negate speed and straight line speed is a deceptive measurement as WR generally use cuts and moves to gain separation.

if the guy has strength and can recover in his route after getting bumped and pressed, then he can be a real weapon, otherwise he will end up running like he is in quicksand. Seam routes are best utilized for straight line speed but that happens between the hash marks.

again...if this guy can do the same things Brown and Ginn are able to do, then we should take a flyer out on him but otherwise, he's a fast guy that is totally raw and taken off his route before he gets position to make a play.

if we draft a receiver, he needs to be physical, experienced and quick/fast with knowledge of about blocking down field with the ability to shed defenders and high point the pass on the go.

  9. Do you think the coaching staff really likes how Hill has progressed and are counting on him to make a leap?

it really doesn't mattef because we have Ginn, Brown and whatever other WR FA we have and still may pick up before training camp starts. we have a gluttony of WR and Hill is a specimen and big target if he is truly ready to start producing

  10. Crabtree is a bust as a first rounder and I don't think I can name another first round WR who was purely a speed guy that ever became a huge impact player for his team.

Brown is our one-dimensional WR and Ginn would fit that same bill if he wsang such a good returner on special teams.

we don't need a burner. we need someone with speed who is physical and can make the tough catch regardless of the route he is assigned. Benji and Olsen are about as physical as you get and we have Cotch as our possession guy with Ginn stretching the field.

there is no rational reason why we should waste a puck on a WR when we desperately need a difference making Safety, OLB and some help on the OL before we go looking at WR and RB when we have plenty.

  11. personally, I'd rather have KB as our #2 receiver and hopefully draft a #1 if there is one available in the draft. if we can't find a #1 in the draft or via FA, we may as well continue to strengthen our defense, as we can lean on them to keep games within reach despite a low scoring offense.

OTs take longer to develop than do defensive players and I think we have added good additions/upgrades to our line via FA. I think, with what we have and adding some more talent through the draft, we are a playoff team at worst and a Championship contender as long as we can avoid the injury bug.

If a #1 WR is available at #25 we should go that route, otherwise, we should go Shaq Thompson who can give us our replacement for TD as he is most likely beginning to decline in his abilities.

  12. These things are so stupid. I said it last year. They have guys who'll be sure first rounders go in the third.

I wonder if there was even one single simulated draft that was spot on. that would be neat to know.

Last season my best was KB in the first and I don't think I ever had more than 1 of our picks correctly.

  13. any RB taken high in the draft has to be durable. there are definitely durability issues but before he got hurt, there was talk of him going #1 overall.

he's big and physical but so are DLs and LBs. Marshawn Lynch is one of the few rbs in the past 10 years that has made it mostly unscathed...it's just a question of how much stock you feel like investing...I want my 1st rounders to be core players that stick as sure-fire starters without durability questions.

  14. I wouldn't say that necessarily. We address needs in the FA but it sets us up to take Dave's top talent available (albeit I'm sure with needs in mind) when each pick comes. Who's to say that isn't a CB early on given the top heavy talent.

you are correct of course, all depends on BPA. considering the depth at CB in this class, I really have a hard time seeing too many highly rated CBs on his depth chart. Getts really covets big, strong players over average sized players whose difference in talent between the top 10-20 cbs in the draft he is impressed with.

  15. Reminds me too much od Darren McFadden. Runs too upright and exposes his entire body to hard hits.

McFadden was a stud, but theres plenty of evidence to what hsppens to RBs with a big exposed target and upright running style. lots of injuries...Bo Jackson, Hershel Walker, Dickerson, OJ..,just to name a few.

sure they were great, but just not durable past their first few seasons...and they all came into the league very healthy.
